| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Quote of the episode: "Even if the whole universe were my enemy Kircheis would still be my friend." It doesn't look like they're on the best of terms now. Reinhard looks to be getting leaning more on his evil side. As expected, Oberstein is a very smart and calculating man but it seems Reinhard finds it difficult to ignore some of his harsh advice. He should've explained the full story to Siegfried instead of shouldering all the blame. His first reaction was to save the 2 million people. Although he was tempted, he reserved the option not to go with Oberstein's plan 100%. Good cliffhanger at the end. Ansbach wasn't kidding when he said he'd be gunning for Reinhard even after Otto's death. |

| WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CLIFFHANGER WAS THAT? Ok, Reinhard isnt going to die that easily, but still. Dont tease us like that damnit. Quite a few flashbacks, but understandable given the length of the series and at least it wasnt a total recap episode. |

| Whoa... wasn't expecting that sneak attack on Reinhard, and to put that into a cliffhanger? What the heck. Yeah, sounds like Siegfried and Reinhard aren't on the best of terms as of late. Reinhard knows damned well that Siegfried's his best friend, and yet he didn't fully explain himself for what took place. Oberstein was at the center of this in an otherwise brilliant way, taking the necessary measures to ensure his plan would work by lying to Reinhard about the time of the nuclear strikes. |

| I'm hoping that Kircheis leaping in front (presumably) will snap Reinhard back to his senses and remind him who his true friends are, but we have had a lot of foreshadowing that he would abandon Kircheis and the honest righteousness he represents. I hope he doesn't become a monster just yet. |

| So now we are really starting to see where Reinhard is starting to get a little corrupt with power and position, doing anything to make his own personal gains. He hasn't completely converted but Oberstein is trying to see to that. Now I have to watch the next episode even though I'm pretty sure Reinhard won't die. |

| Well, I'm never watching previews for this series again. I love the irony and hypocrisy of Oberstein warning against Reinhard having a second-in-command, and then walking and standing by Reinhard's side. |

| I am seriously SO GLAD I never watch next-episode previews. I love how we see Reinhard's and Kircheis' relationship begin to develop a bit more here -- friends do have misunderstandings, and that brings them even closer once they've reconciled their differences. Though I am a bit upset that Reinhard didn't fully explain to Kirchies what had happened with Oberstein and the whole nuclear escapade. The character development in this series blows me away, and we finally have our first cliff-hanger. Looks as if I'm not getting any sleep! Onto episode 26! |

| Even if I don't watch the preview, I get spoiled by the people in the episode discussion. >> Reinhard shouldn't trust Oberstein. He's too cunning! Kircheis will restore his friendship with Reinhard, I'm sure. Otherwise I'd enjoy the Empire's side less than I should. Or I can watch Oberstein overthrow Reinhard. Who knows. I think Kircheis proves to be a good restraint for Reinhard to keep him on his path and to stay true to his values. He needs to stay. And here I was, wondering why he was opening the Prince... I thought he was going to present Reinhard with his heart or something. I love how nobody reacted to him opening the coffin and his body. If only Kircheis had his gun? |

| I never watch previews, spoilers are a big reason why. However I also don't go to the current episode discussion thread, since even if its not filled with spoilers, you fools discuss the spoilers in an episode preview. Because of that I always have to watch ahead before reading previous discussion threads. |
| I knew something was up when Ansbach had Braunsweig taken to the infirmary. I was thinking though that he gave him a sedative instead of poison to keep him alive not a rocket launcher hidden in his body. I don't particularly like Lohengramm so hopefully he's dead or incapacitated for awhile. |

| Oh, cliffhanger ending. Almost makes up for the large amount of unnecessary flashbacks in this episode. Seriously though, did we really need to see an uncut version of the nuke incident again? Best episode preview ever by the way. Would've been pissed expect I've already been spoiled on it. |
