THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So they adapt more of the Sex Pistols arc and I find it pretty thrilling. The mind games and trash talk caught my interest including that fight on the road. I felt bad for that driver that got caught up in this shit

Thought Mista's VA played his role pretty well to bring this episode into the anime form. This episode also made me realize how dangerous Sex Pistols can really be.

I know Persona makes references to Jojo now and then, but I love how Mista's exact backstory (minus the Ultra Instinct) was used for Ren.

The episode was pretty nice. Poor Giorno he is gonna wonde, where the hell is Mista the moment he reaches the top of the mountain, and the group will be asking, where is the hell is Giorno. XD

FUCK! YEAH! DP DIDNT SKIP THIS PANEL!
this is probably one of my favorite JoJo panels because it show the ruthless side of DIO within Giorno.
Though I could nitpick with JJCA better translation/sub, I'm happy regardless.

he takes what he's lost and discards what he's won, he's every bit as alive as you and I

It's literally the Wilson Phillips moment all over again, only with less murder.

Mista's battle against Sale was cool, even more since I didn't exactly remembered how Mista defeated him in the manga, who made me like the episode more.
Also poor truck driver, he got no respect through the episode, but he should be thankful. Unlike most average humans involved in Stand battles, he at least ended alive and in one piece. Gotta love the callback at the end with Giorno forcing him to be his "tax driver", just like his father did with that senator back in Stardust Crusaders.

I really liked this fight between Mista and Sale, and we also got to see a bit of Mista's backstory. Lol poor truck driver, getting yelled at constantly throughout the episode. Giorno was just a few seconds too late there at the end, so he'll probably be confused when he can't find Mista.

Sadly the animation is getting alot worse. Since episode 7 it's been really noticeable.

Mista's VA did a really great job for the character, I didn't enjoy a lot his role in UtaPri and I found a lot of other role okay, but this time, I really love it.

that poor truck driver...
in my opinion this is one of the best action scenes in Part 5, it all feels very tense
we also saw a little glimpse into Mista's past, as we are slowly learning the backstory of every member of Bruno's crew

Well done for Mista to take out that guy, I really thought that was brilliant of him and his stand. But damn that was a pretty intense episode and a bit gory. Also I liked the back story of Mista, he seemed to be a troubling guy but at the same time a good guy (judging by the way he saved that woman).

Poor truck driver he's been chauffeur for both Mista and now Gio! :-). Great episode as always.

It's JoJo, what do you expect? :D ItJustWorks.jpg

I think Mista explained it while guessing his Stand Power, The bullets are static but moving alongside the truck, I even think he was controlling the truck, otherwise it would have crashed.

His Stand can also affix things to go along with the pacing of something moving, like Mista guessed.

I don't really think that the animation was getting worse, but something did seem a little off. Otherwise I really enjoyed the episode! Seeing Mista's backstory was cool, although sadly we didn't see an anime original scene of him without a hat

I really love that they adapted the last scene.
Mankind knew that they cannot change society. So instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the beasts.

At least the art is consistent, honestly I haven't been noticing much of the animation dips , but if the art takes a hit like in part 4 I'll be disappointed.

Glad the animation is still good, so far the two year wait is worth it. Arts & Crafts had me rolling, part 5 was really unlucky with the localization.

So they will handle the back stories of the main characters all like this for part 5. Interesting~

The rock climbing in mid-air is so cool!
Ishikawa-san did a good job voice acting the sound of choking on blood.

The driver had such a bad day! Pure JOJO humor here~

Oh true that! I had to look it up. The Horriblesubs rips say six bullets instead, thanks for clearing that up.

It's a fun game to guess how they'll "localize" the translations of the stand names

Mista started off as that lovable guy in the street who lived a simple life only to be thrown into a dangerous situation without batting an eye. All those bullets whizzing past him as he casually loads the gun up and shoot 4 perfect shots shows how formidable the Sex Pistols are in a gunfight. His first series of kills that ended his simple life must've been the reason why he despises the number 4 so much.

Kraft Work's power of kinetic manipulation was more freeze than Echoes Act 3's 3 Freeze~ It's ability to freeze things in place to prevent bullets from fully entering his body, use thrown objects as pathways, and supercharge frozen projectiles to fire back at the source was a very powerful one. If Sale didn't let his guard down and get hit by that bullet in his head, Mista wouldn't have had a bullet-shaped opening to exploit. Inertia was his downfall but it took an unnerving amount of time for him to actually take the fall.

That truck driver started out his day by having a gun pointed at him and spent the rest of it being bossed around to go and stop at gunpoint. It's hilarious that having missed out the whole fight and not seeing Mista on the way back, Giorno decided to go to the very place Mista just left with the very truck Mista just got off. He just can't take a break~

Great episode! At first, I kinda prefer Sex Pistols voice from the ASB/EOH games. Where it's voiced by female Seiyuu. Here, they are voice by male. Still, they kept the humor and tone of the voice. So it's all good!!!

Damn, now Giorno has to go looking for Mista all over while the gang regroups.

Next one!

This is Jojo. Characters will suffer serious wounds in one episode, and then be fine in the next.
It's very bizarre
