To be honest my harshness towards Toji isn't completely justified as he himself is a great, completed character. My critique mostly comes from my disappointment in Megumi.

Nanami's death is very similar to that of Kugisaki, just quicker and less in your face. I don't like that he did basically nothing beside fueling Itadori's development. As I stated in my review I consider Toji a failure, he killed himself before having any impact on any character, beside fighting them. There are many others who died, but they fell into a category of "I don't care" like Mechamaru who had almost no character before, or Jogo who was a bit of fun, but didn't amount to much. Mahito was the best death in this arc in my opinion, his character achieved some goals, sure he was simple and he mostly served Itadori's growth, but that was good enough.

I am sure that killing off main characters before they can achieve anything, for the sake of shock value is mature and totally not edgy and disappointing.
