I couldn't wait for this episode! DP did a great job introducing the gang. I agree the much anticipated piss scene was awesome. Though I was really looking forward to the fork encounter and was not disappointed!

Now it's time for me to pace while waiting for episode 6.

Ah, Fugo, Narancia, Mista, Abbacchio. Glad to see the gang this episode.
Pretty entertaining character interactions between them.

I thought that tea drinking scene is gold lol.

Glad to see this show getting more interesting to watch.

I don't know what you're talking about but the manga chapters of this episode were released in 1996, while One Piece started in 1997. So perhaps you meant the opposite lol.

These guys outfits, are too flamboyant :-*

I guess that's Jojo for you, but the outfit game has gone... eh!

Any ways, the hierarchical structure of Passione sure is huge and the boss should be something special to have that many people under him. I see Polpo has left a lot of money and I think the series will follow in that.

Good ep.

I seriously did not expect to be introduced to the whole crew at once! :o That's a major twist on the usual Jojo formula. I honestly love Narancia, I just want to teach him math! Giorno is also super adorable with how he tries to get along with everyone and earn their respect.

That's because Part 5 is a lot better than Part 4. The only thing the later outshines the former is in having a better main villain.

Steel Ball Run blows all other Jojo parts out of the water though.

Watching Jojo is like playing a kids game with the most annoying kid in the school who keeps bending the rules to his will in order to win, only to suffer through him acting all cool and cocky about it. The kid being Araki.

More explicitly, even though it makes "sense", the internal logic of the fights and their conclusion always fail to feel satisfying. It's an issue I've always had with this series. At the same time it's what gives it its particular aura, walking the line between completely idiotic and genius.

Jotaro is much funnier and more well written. I find his VA very unremarkable, which is appropriate because Giorno is really not that good.

If it were the manga we were talking about, I'd agree with you, but it's clear from the way Giorno has been presented in the anime so far that he's been given more personality in the shift from manga to anime.

The rest of the cast far outshines him, but he's not a bad (or the worst) JoJo by any means.

The organization chart of Passione is much cooler than that in the manga. Props for David Production to do such a great job for the fancy chart that teases some latter characters.

The main crew of part 5 is always my favorite during the franchise. I really love their interactions to each other. Even though Narancia & Fugo can be so violent over some math problems and Mista can be such a dick to Narancia only because of him being a bit noisy with music.

It’s a nice touch to add the scene of Buccellati being called out to receive the phone call. It makes the whole Abbacchio bullying Giorno under his nose thing more natural and also shows how Buccellati got the news of Poplo’s death.
It’s a bit sad that they cut off the scene of Buccellati eating a pizza, but that’s understandable to have a fast pacing. He’s just such a popular guy respected by the neighborhood! TFW you see him being so stressed about the fact that the drugs are ruining people’s lives.

As for the voice actors, I’m a hard core fan of those ASB ones. So far, Giorno’s & Buccellati’s VAs did a quite good job, so I’m not gonna complain too much about these two. Fugo’s voice sounds similar to the one in ASB and I hope Narancia & Abbacchio’s VAs don’t disappoint. The only one I’m still very unsure about is Mista’s VA. He doesn’t sound Mista to me at all. I absolutely prefer the one in ASB.
I’m not a fan of Abbacchio, but his ombre eyes in this episode are incredibly beautiful. Hopefully I can find out some colored lenses similar to these.

All the character OSTs are pure awesome. And their choosing the piano version to play when Giorno is attacked on the boat makes it even better.

Hands down a 5/5 episode!

Bruno's team was introduced as the biggest goofballs in Italy but they sure can get from a zero to a hundred real fast for even the most trivial of reasons. Stabbing your friend in the face with a fork because he's screwing with you by not making an effort in his homework's crazy. They're really easy to underestimate but I really wouldn't want to get on their bad sides.

I'm not very surprised that Narancia's some sort of dropout but I was really surprised that the guy's actually older than Giorno. Mista's really afraid of the number 4 but he didn't realize that there were 4 of them sitting on 4 chairs in a room with 4 corners right until Giorno and Bruno arrived. They gave Giorno a cup of Abacchio's special tea and much to their surprise, he downed the whole thing in one gulp. If it weren't for his secret ability, he would've had to stomach the taste that'll definitely last for a few days.

Considering the company that he keeps, it's quite a surprise Bruno has quite the reputation both in work and outside it~ He was entrusted with hiding Polpo's treasure and he's some sort of a local hero where he's based in. It must be very tough to find out that the cause of their youths' descent to depravity is none other than the organization he works in himself.

Abacchio didn't want to show his Stand to Giorno so he threw himself into danger to prove himself. If they'll have to fight all of Passione, they'll have to trust each other first.

And so begins the greatest hatemance in Jojo. I wonder what did Giorno do with the piss after the jellyfish absorbed it.

Also, Abbacchio sounds a lot like Juzo Sakakura from Danganronpa 3. Must be the same VA?

well he is also voiced aizawa from bnha or vergo from one piece = his name junichi suwabe

Great introduction of the crew!! I still remember how unwillingly Abacchio to trust Giorno in the first few chapters. It'll take sometime before Giorno gains his trust.

Sawabe as Abacchio was the only good cast they were able to make. I really wish they had stuck to the original ASB/EOH voices.

Gonna be crazy in the next one!

The care of the environments is spectacular, even if anachronistic. Giorno joins the band, but apparently the legacy of Octopus is heavier than we thought.

Ok don’t tell me Giorno ate that Jellyfish haa? I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JELLY FISH OMG. But that part is very cringy haa, makes me remind of the scene in part 3 where kakyoin made eat a stand user his own poop in porridge or something. Yuck.

I've been noticing that the OP's animation has a lot of chains in it. I'm thinking maybe there's something important to them, but nah. It's probably just the aesthetics of the OP.

The ending part of this show was cool. Especially with the piano section of Giorno's theme.

Finally, we get to see one of the gang members' stand ability, which is Abbacchio's Moody Blues.
