Awesome episode, things are really starting to come together on this one. Just noticed that the leader of the Unions voice actor is Charles Zi Britannia from geass. Had to add it.

We finally got a name to that Class leader, Kano. Somehow those three old women he referred to as Mother reminds me of the three Grey Women in the mythology of the Greek hero Perseus.

Ughh only the head and perhaps the spinal cord is retained in turning people into Shapes as they've shown in Kohakura's case. :P

The remaining Union members were truly fanatics to the end. Too bad they don't know how to fight smart. I wondered if Kimata's former right hand man turned into one of the Shapes too?

The number of body counts in this anime is just insane... Especially in the last 3 or so episodes, everyone is getting decimated!

I'm kinda afraid of how this will turn out, probably a wasteland of hopelessness :(

Kinda sad really thinking where this is going...

Oh Haru. What a gross way to die.
Was Kano speaking with the Class seers? He called them 'mother'. It would be cool if his mother split her brain into three texhnolyzed bodies.
Speaking of, seeing the head and spinal cord was pretty creepy.*
I hope Doc pulls herself together.

*EDIT- so creepy, in fact, that it gave me a nightmare 0_o

Shinji must be related to Chuck Norris, he's killing people with his finger. Anyway, the episode was very intense. Such a bloody battle.

Holy shit, great fucking episode.
I understood why those men kept on fighting and why Kimata kept his men from getting Texhnolyzed, it really does look disgusting, and it seems to really change the people who get them.
Kimata was pretty manly against the ones who are fully Texhnolyzed

It was awesome to see the remnants of the Organo and the Union fighting side by side against the Shapes. And poor Hal, even as a Shape Shinji can literally defeat him with one finger.

. . . I thought Hal wanted Yoko, would be kind of hard to win the love of a girl who is swayed by physical relationships with a body like that . . . Just saying.

Anyways, poor union guys, just went to their deaths like that. They should have retreated and re-grouped, dying like that didn't do anyone any good.

Well Organo is pretty much gone; the Union just lost their leader; Gabe's people dont know what to do without Ran...

Speaking of Ran.. who was on the train with her at the end? I assume/guess she was arriving in Lux?

I thought it was really cool when the head guy of the truth salvation group died in battle after taking on all of those shapes and how after he died his crew continued fighting to the death. They knew they were gonna die when they came there and they didn't care because they just wanted to go out with honor by sticking with their ideals to the end.

Great observation here, and I believe it is so in the case of the Class. The fact that a more superior entity forcing to control the very humans below them is seen in the situation of Texhnolyze now.

I guess - seeing the case of Kohakura, the people were abducted by the Class themselves having seen the 'ghost' (which is the fully Texhnolyzed beings, basically), and the realisation of having been modified makes them fully obedient to the Class, even if their mind rejects them from doing so. Doesn't this remind us of a rather similar anime?

5/5 for the Union. *Salutes*

Somehow I don't feel anything towards Kohakura, he was just a greedy bastard in the end. Ichise needs some anger management.

Pretty badass way of killing Haru, I get a feeling that Shinji will play a major role in the last scenes.

Kano referring to people of Lux as toys is disgusting, he has to go down in some epic way.

Good episode and Series as a whole! It poses interesting philosophical questions, which I won't get into as we all know that these Anime attracts many children which don't have a clue about life at all (which is only natural as they are being breastfeed till they are 30)...

Ugh, it would have been much better if the shapes had been completely mechanical, with the only thing remaining of their human selves being their memories.
The fact that they still have their faces and their identities kind of lessens the theme that show still seems to be going for, about how too much technology can take away your humanity.

I don't think it lessens anything. On top of making them recognizable, the whole point of becoming a shape is to have a new method of survival, which is why the prospect is so enticing. Besides, Hal's character arc would've come to an abrupt halt that way. It's also appropriately creepy looking to see human heads planted on machinery.

Kohakura ust laying there with his head attack to some sort of sack ...
Dont forget about Kimata being pierced to shreds by the Shapes.

Just memories, I've seen it done in so many forms, there's just something about it ... with their head still there, with a functioning brain at least it's still somewhat of a human. (being texhnolyzed and all that)

I could go into this a lot more and in depth, but that'll take a while :P

Man Shinji was a boss there.

Just accept your arm already, Ichise. I really hate it when he goes berserk mode. Destroys all his characterization so far.

Kimata died a honorable death. You gotta admit, he trained his men to be faitful regardless you agree with their motive or not (I don't)

Why are you still watching this if all you do is complain in every single thread related to the series? Are you a masochist? Why are you watching it if you hate everything about it? The last few threads it was clear you didn't even know who half the main characters were, let alone the side characters? If you've barely even paid attention to the show, what good are your complaints even? You're hard griefing.

Kimata said texhnolyzation damaged the soul and I think a lot of what the series has shown seems to support that, but in which case why was he able to die in a blaze of glory like he did?

The common people of Lux seem to lack much in the way of spirit. Will the Union's defiance impress them or will they be blind to it?

So far, this was the episode with the best soundtrack, IMO.

There are humans inside Shapes, which means they aren't invincible. But they can still oneshot every person they face, though

So long Union, you won't die in vain (I hope).

Poor Ichise had been living a lie, I wonder how he'll act from this point on.
