According to an announcement made at the recent World Trigger Summer Festival 2015, a new series related to the World Trigger franchise will premiere in October, following the end of the first TV anime adaptation. The new series is currently titled Isekai Kara no Toubousha (Fugitives From Another World), although it has yet to be confirmed that this will be the final decided title.

The information so far also revealed that it will be a brand new series with an original story not presented in the World Trigger manga, and with new characters and concepts. More information will be available at a future date.

World Trigger is a manga written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashiara. The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since February 2013. The TV anime adaptation by Toei Animation debuted on October 5, 2014 and is expected to run for 50 episodes.

Wonder how long this will run for....

I doubt another 50 episodes but we'll see. It looks like this will be non-canon too at least in terms story content/adaptation.

I wonder if that really counts if there are new characters, concepts and story... I suppose it's going to be anime original and same studio... :>

Well sounds interesting enough, though I would have greatly preferred an actual sequel.

What? Any idea who the writer is? Otherwise it's just fillers.. but I am not complaining! I am not sure how I feel about (presumably) switching out the main casts though.

I've only seen the first nine episodes of the first season, and so far, I'm not liking it (I have it on-hold for now). Most of me believes I'm not gonna bother watching the second season, but it'll depend on whether or not I'll change my opinion on the first one by the time I finish that.

A spin-off? Better than waiting for 2nd season, I guess.

Fugitives from Another World - Maybe main characters this time will be Neighbors? I hope Expedition Force or Aftokrator will be included in this new anime.

More World Trigger is good news for me, I just hope it won't feel like a one giant filler.

Toei please.
At least adapt the manga when it won't be necessary to pad the series with your terrible recaps and awful pacing.
Making 50 episodes for a manga that barely had over 60 chapters didn't work out so well the first time, why are you taking this chance again?
World Trigger is a decent shonen manga. It doesn't deserve this treatment.

To think world trigger could be more popular if it was shorter. Toei really fucked up.

I've put it on-hold at around episode 20. It does improve and those who are up to date with it say the pacing is a lot better. I guess it just has a slow start.

I want these new anime to focus on Neighbor World. And a female protagonist would be awesome!

If no Yuuma, I hope duckface return in some form. =3=

Well shit, I might have to get caught up, I dropped it around episode 12 or so. Story seemed interesting enough but the pacing was absolute rubbish, good to know it gets better.

I probably shouldn't have stalled this series. I decided to put it on hold early on so I could binge it later and then I learned it was getting 50 episodes. Now it's getting a new series?

I should probably get back to this soon.

The anime is is in the middle of an arc and the manga hasn't finished that arc yet, so this is to wait till the arc is over and they can fully adapt it.

Good to know it's popular enough for this :)

Is Toei letting a new group of animators work on this or ...?
Cos the group that worked on the first couple episodes in the first season made me put it on hold when I really wanted to like it cos of the manga... /: (it was like watching a slide show...)

Hmm, this might not be too bad. I'm liking the manga so far and a story that plays on the politics of Neighbors and humans would be interesting. I also think it would be a good idea to include Earth governments and their relationship with Border as a plot point.

I for one will be glad to have more World Trigger next season along with so many sequels. TOEI did pretty good work putting in some AO scenes so hopefully the filler series won't be bad. Next season will be pretty enjoyable.

Btw considering how many rushed and butchered adaptations we get now-a-days, TOEI adapted World Trigger pretty faithfully. The content, the world building, the character developments, the explanations.....everything is there minus the gore.

But people still has to make complains about pacing and animation.......please go back to watching those 12/13-episodic high-paced advertizements-esque adaptations with colorful backgrounds.

I'm gonna just give a thumbs up for Dragon Slayer X for not hating on world trigger.

So I'm just speculating here about what this new world trigger series is about. Its probably one of two scenarios that I can come up with.

1. Its about some neighbors who screwed up big and managed to avoid getting captured and escaped. Going somewhere to get help.

2. Its about Rinji and Hatohara group when they left Mikado city to go to the Neighborhood. Which they gave triggers to civilians and then they were made fugitives of Border. It could tell us the story of what happen to them.

That's pretty much all I got.

love world trigger, especially the manga. Not sure how i feel about this considering that the real second season is about 3 years away at least. This season will basically catch up to the manga by the last episode.

More is good, but i hope they get filled in on the lore so they don't step all over the second season. Worst case scenario is they create some sort of dead end.

Yay more pointless filler no one cares about =/

I haven't even read the manga, but I feel bad for the mangaka unless he/she is helping with the original story in some way.

I thought World Trigger pacing is too fast, I would like it a bit more drawn out.

I rather have filler then go a few seasons waiting for anime to continue. As long as the filler has an actual story and not random garbage.
