His animal form is a penguin?

The first dude was a penguin, I don't think they would use the same animal twice.
This one is a woodpecker, it became clear when he started picking his cellphone.

As for the episode, I didn't like it as much as the others. The patient, the disorder, all that wasn't really my thing.

But I can't wait to see the next episode with the Yakuza member.

I thought the first dude was an Ibis? That didn't look like a penguin to me. This episode was definitively a woodpecker kind of mocking him as he tapped away on his cell phone as a a woodpecker does to a tree.

I really liked this episode though I feel really bad with the part with the guys at the Karaoke bar as I've pretty much had people who I thought were my friends in high school do stuff like that to me...

I can't wait for the next episode though, finally the yakuza!

Ah, that was excellent!

I don't think the first dude was a penguin, I thought ibis too. This guy was a woodpecker (though I too thought he was a penguin at first haha)

First was a crane, a very important symbol in Japanese and Chinese cultures.

I also like this one with the woodpecker pecking away because he's compelled to (he's a woodpecker, after all) and then when the compulsion leaves the woodpecker head disappears.

I liked the ending like always. And the music starting to play as well. It fits the series perfectly.

I like how Yuta was able to deal with his problem without much help from Irabu. Overall, a nice episode. Can't wait for the next one.

Besides liking the episode (especially the ending), I actually enjoyed the interruption talking about how when diagnosing anything in children, it's best to err on the side of caution since they are not fully formed adults. It's something that I think a lot of the general public (maybe not in Japan, I don't know) needs to hear since people are really quick to diagnose and prescribe a problem away with pills.

Also, I was thinking about how those vitamin shots are more for Irabu than for anyone else. I think he feels like he needs to see that in order to settle into his consultations.

Well according to the show's description (not the MAL one) he does have an injection fetish.

I think I remember reading that a while back ago when I first heard the show was coming out. When I thought that this episode, I was thinking, "Well, it is just a vitamin shot, and they don't really need it...nor does he have the right (per se) to demand that they have a shot," but still, I thought for a second that there was a correlation between when a patient gets a shot and when we see Irabu in child mode (after injection), but this episode didn't really validate that thought, so I was left with just that sentence.

Great episode, loved that Mayumi got some more quality screen-time. Also, Irabu's text messages were hilarious. Bumping it up to an 8.

I know lots of people who use cellphones way too much so I could relate to this episode quite a bit. This one wasn't overly funny and some parts were cringe worthy to me but I still enjoyed it. I also didn't think I could like Mayumi more than I already do, but she was awesome this episode.

This one is a "meh" compared to the others.
It very much hovered on the surface as compared to diving in like some of the others. Maybe I'm getting too used to it?

I don't text or facebook. But of course that is made up by spending time on anime and games with the disconnected communication. I really feel sad for the guy; I am somewhat like he was myself, but I would never bend over backwards for them like he did. Makes me ask if it is really wrong to just do what you want to do and have no real close friends.

Might be my favorite episode so far. Thought the series, while still excellent, was slowing down a bit at 4 and 5, but this blew my socks off. Definately the most emotionally engaging episode so far.

One of the best episodes so far. It's something I can relate to coz I was like him in my HS days. :D

I was wondering why it's a bird again then when it showed that it was a woodpecker, I have to laugh and find it awesome. :D

Although, Irabu didn't do much in this ep
but I think his picture together with Mayumi and the children did a great impact to the patient's problem

plus Mayumi revealed her ideal type. <3

"Left my carrots, but my mom got angry."
Irabu's text messages sure are hilarious. LMAO

The injection part was funny too. Mayumi fanservice FTW!!

AND OMG, SHE WAVED AT THE END!!! YES YES YES!!!

If you take away all the abstract visuals all these episodes are surprisingly straight forward and easy to follow. Even with the imagery, they're relate-able.

Holy shit, that level of addiction. I like the ending, where he deletes 329 entries, and earned one. It doesn't matter how many "friends" you have, if no one give 2 fucks about you, it's pointless, they are as good as nothing. Except for the ending, I don't really like the episode.

I feel like FB replaced cell phones in the way they're used in this episode... or smartphones but I don't have one of those so I'm not sure.

I wonder if Irabu will have any female patients. Maybe he's only into when males get injections. :U

Another great episode. Fun interactions with Irabu, interesting talks with Mayumi and an interesting choice of addiction, more socially harmful than anything else but nonetheless problematic.

"The friends were assholes",
Yes, true, but I can understand them up to a certain lvl. I had a friend once who texted more than he talked, he texted during our conversations, he texted the full hour we were attending a music concert, he texted through 3/4th of the movie when we went to the cinema. Tbh when he was like that, he may as well not have been there at all, it's a really sucky friend to hang around with. Not entirely the same situation here, but maybe that lead up to the events here

Mayumi face time = great time! I liked this episode since it reminds me of a lot of folks that I see with their faces plastered to cell phones no matter the environment. I also found it funny that the patient couldn't imagine not being able to text...... my flip phone has no text ability and it drives some of my friends crazy.....lol.
