| momo and granpa moment was adorable more backstory for rei, lost his family, got in a new family but then turns out to be being destroyed by him, and now bullied, damn how pitiful just wth happened to hina, it seems like she was bullied |

| lol at issa and smith trying out kumakura's shoes. those duo always do funny stuff. and this episode truly deep with all that inner thought of rei. and also strengthen myself, yup i can never like kyouko the way she is. it seems people like her a lot but i just can't, that girl is broken, so does the brother. both of them broken, but kyouko not only broken but don't know how to fix her problem and seek refuge to a married man with a sick wife, of course, gotou is not helping by allowing kyouko to follow her all the time. the flashback shown is the selfishness of kids that extend to the point no return. it is their fault? no, as a kid, it's natural to a certain degree, but it's not helping when they can't get over it for years, i guess, to a certain degree, rei is also broken, there are too many inner though he keep on himself, the uncertainty, dunno when he will resolve himself because to me, kyouko, the brother, and rei all are broken. and now a bully to hina, what in the world happened that make people bully such a kind girl like her? |
| Well i guess no matter how composed someone is they can still get angry. Though kicking a hole in a wall sure was unexpected. Nikaido's bento sure looks pretty nice though. Nikaido does seem confident that he can reach the finals thats for sure. But before dreaming its always wise to not underestimate your current opponents first. Its nice that the girls family business is going well though. The grans idea of a duck sunk in Agar though does look sinister though. Momo really has the strangest of ideas though. As sisters Akari can easily sense when Hina is bothered with something. Its nice seeing Rei listen to the advice on food from Akari and Hina though. Rei's childhood must have been pretty harsh for him but it also allowed him to focus on something that he likes which is shogi. Looks like Hina is being bullied in school sadly though. |

| and so starts the roughest parts of the series though its really good but its really rough especially going through it again but animated this time and the end when Hina is crying the impact hits alot harder now that its animated my god this season is gonna be rough |

| I feel like I can understand the anime better this season compared to the first season. It seems a bit less gloomy and it seems to use a lot less metaphorical depictions and such. Is that just me? I can't believe Hina got bullied. I think Rei will think of something to help her or say something influential to help through this. |

| Another hilarious and powerful episode, 1st part was hilarious and 2nd part was the powerful one! It like an eternal of "and play" like it's his punishment, good thing Kawamoto three sisters are his salvation/saviour! Oh My God! What's happening to Hina!?!?!?!? 5/5. |

| Dang, really good episode. Seems like they bring up Rei's past again to show how it'll affect him when dealing with Hina. Poor girl :( Must be tough, and I liked how it showed him trying to help out at home too but that only made it worse between him and his siblings. Hope they can resolve everything soon :( |
| Didn't liked this episode much and there are three reasons for that: a) the first part was mostly comedy and Shaft really sucks at that, it reminded me of all the bad things the previous season had. Also, Nikaido is still annoying as hell and time dedicated to him is wasted for me. b) the second part and Rei's background would be interesting if we already didn't know all of that. I'm not sure if spelling it out makes it better or something. c) after great two previous episodes of interesting 'shaftic' animation Shaft (almost) backed off to the style previous season had, eg. not their style but the style of the manga. I don't think that's good sign as I would certainly appreciated if they have more creating freedom over this series (but their production comittee certainly disapproves I guess). I understand that b) was actually used as foreshadowing for 'Hina's being bullied too' story but the problem is that it was only build-up and the meat of it would be the next episode so it didn't quite work in anime as it probably did in the manga. Also, really hate their decision to split up the arcs between episodes.. and quick look on episodes list tells me even this season would be plagued by this. I'm still insterested in Hina's story but I actually hoped they at least try to prevent all those mistakes first season had. |

| Quite the dark flashback again, but that's also why I love this series as it is very happy at one point and can directly switch to very dark and grimy atmosphere. That ending though :/ Well quite liked the episode, looking forwards to see what's next. |

| I don't think it would be unfair at this point to suggest Nikaidou is gay for Rei. I support their relationship. Rei's childhood flashbacks always piss me off. Doing nice things/chores for your adoptive mother isn't "scoring points". Kyouko and whatever the fuck the useless boy's name is are insufferable assholes. |

| This was cute af AND depressing af: Momo's brainstorming was super cheery along with her grandpa being so proud of her granddaughter. However, Rei's flashback about how his behaviour eventually torn apart the relationship between the Koda children and their mother broke my heart. He must have felt like a piece of garbage... Oh no, not Hina. |

| Legend has it that you might be able to still hear Rei repeat "and play" in a certain neighbourhood This is the type of episode that I dislike, as I mentioned back in the first season, it's yet another variation of "I was alone since I was six", same message but told in a different way to pad the series. Some people may think it's brilliant character exploration/study case, but for me it's just the same shit that I already know for the most part. The whole thing is just being glorified and it took up half the episode. SMH ending with Hina seems interesting tho |

| This episode encapsulated what makes 3-gatsu no Lion so great if you ask me. The episode starting off hilarious was really amusing. I never realized how much of a giant Kumakura was. Wonder how tall he is numerically. Nikaidou having his entire future planned out was quite amusing, as was Kiriyama getting embarrassed. Momo's dessert ideas were top notch and deserve to be immediately implemented. The second part of the episode was brilliant. Kiriyama's childhood life, as depressing as it was, struck a major chord with me. As a viewer, I seriously sympathized with Kiriyama, even if my childhood wasn't nearly as depressing. You can completely understand his thought process in trying to stay invisible to avoid trouble. I don't care who the children are; siblings should not treat other siblings like that. It was disgusting. How Kiriyama is even remotely sane is a miracle. Him purchasing the doughnuts was a nice touch. Who the everliving fuck touched my Hina? Hell is going to rain down on their forsaken soul next episode, I assure you. |

| The first part was so fun then came Hina’s spacing out then Rei’s past and then that ending. What a rollercoaster. Hope Hina’s problem wasn’t bullying but that was most likely :( And Rei’s past is really sad. He really had a hard time during those times. |

| Forgot how good this show was at coming out of nowhere swinging with some punches to the gut. I love the shot of Rei, alone in a dark sea, holding onto nothing but a shogi board as it alone keeps him afloat. Rei's growth in season one allowed him to mostly get out of this dark space; and now, it is his turn to help others: Hina, in particular, who is definitely going through something right now. I personally don't care for the comedy in this show; it can be nice at times when a bit of light-heartedness is needed, but otherwise I find these portions too long-drawn-out and taking time away from what really matters. |
