The TV series after the first episode takes a positive trend and also has many sub plots that could bring many surprises, but I have a hunch that 11 episodes are few to give adequate time to all events.
The narration is very versatile, but I think in a sense, you should first give space to the knowledge of the characters, know them and then have them interact in history to make the viewer understand well the actions and choices that ago.
I say this because now we know Akane, but the rest of the characters (well, also exclude Gino etc.) make choices rather bizarre.
I must say that the technical quality in this second season is very high, the designs are beautiful and even the scenarios are valuable. I can say the same for animations.
Beautiful Color Design.
Surprised to see in a scene, the collection of coins of the Euro on display! LOL

Kirito Kamui just cleared Shisui.
And WC stands for What Color?

Ginoza's arm is freakin' cool.
Tougane's a lot like Kougami, however Tougane's known to have the highest Criminal Coefficient on record.

Aoyanagi is in trouble and Shimotsuki doesn't really like Akane at all.
One day, something will bite Shimotsuki in the ass.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Another awesome episode, Ginoza looks seriously cool this way and his arm seems badass. I don't know if I agree or disagree with the new inspector, sometimes she seems like the most logical one but other times she seems a bit naive. Somebody please save Aoyanagi! She can't die like this!

If this season doesn't end with Mika's PP skyrocketing and ultimately becoming an enforcer so she can see what it's like to deal with a bitch of an inspector like her, then I'm giving this season a 1/10.

The opening was bloody terrifying though, my goodness. Awesome episode aside from Mika being a fuck off.

Ghastly way to start the episode.. DAT first scene was the best scene yet in this anime :v. Good detailed animation of the mouth of Shisui. Seems Mika has a thing for Yayoi in the 2nd episode.. Probably because of what she did to Mika to help her in overcoming that scarring experience in S1.. I sense yuri. :3

Yeah I sensed that too. And I don't like it o_O That scene when Akane covers her face multiple times ends with her getting a headshot..

opening scene was good, I love the opening theme, psycho pass always delivers when it comes to music...

but the rest I kinda nearly fell asleep, wasn't very exciting at all, its like their taking bits and bobs from the first season but just not delivering it as well.. and knowing that there is only 11 episodes frightens me!

Dafuqqqq, Professor Saiga turned himself in? Damn, that's harsh. At least his room is all swagged out.

Gino is acting all chill now this season; looks like he finally got that stick out of his ass and learned to live a little. Mika right now definitely reminds me of how Gino used to be in early Season 1.

an interesting episode. kamui seems disturbed. does he think violence is how people attain a clear hue and lower pp?

The worst thing about psycho pass is the violence against women. it is almost always a woman that is the victim.

it seems there is more to togane than what sybil said. i thought he would have been working for sybil but it may not be how it is?

So that's how he can lower your hue? Still it might some sort of fluid in his body. Since Kamui kissed Shisui and her Hue went down.

Still fucked up when he removed her eye like that :O

Saiga seems to be locked in a secure facility, i didn't know about Akane's parents being protective custody.

Ginoza and Aoyanagi seems to be interested with another. Shame she got beat the hell out of by that stupid old geezer.

Can't wait for the next episode!!

Also why the hell does it feel like everyone in this show forgot the events of season 1? When akane asked the chief that question I don't know if she meant a person who under normal circumstances is not recognized by the sibly system or not but did she forget that she worked on a case that had people not being recognized by the system through technology?

EXACTLY what i said to myself. WHAT THE HECK. being in denial about sybil won't make people not hack the crap out of it. it's happened so far with 'shima and now kirito, both who are obviously (very) intelligent. so far these intelligent people hack sybil, so be on the lookout for people like him.

nope, 'shima was a once in 7 lifetimes of a person, no-one would like him!

because sybil??? -_-

Also I dunno why everyone wants Kogami back. I like him and all but he's not the main character, Akane is. At this point I can't see how Kogami would fit in to everything without feeling like they just shoe horned him in to make people happy. We saw his story, give the guy a break.

yeah because people want him back because he's the main character alone.

So Tougane is an accident waiting to happen, despite being so damn cool and collected. The Chief definitely left out a detail or two as to what led to their 'experimenting' with him. There's no way one could possibly recover from logging the highest crime coefficient ever, so it seems obvious that he benefited from the same kind of 'therapy' that Kamui is offering. If that's the case, the Chief shouldn't be surprised by Akane's concerns in the slightest, and is probably just waiting to see how she handles it once she gets to the bottom of the case.

he seemed suspicious anyway, don't care.

maybe if you looked past your complaining you'd see the obvious first.

women are weaker than men and are by that fact alone they are going to get targeted more than men. end of story.

and don't even bring up that "what about children" argument since they are barely seen anywhere (which is pretty strange, actually....).

uh oh, his name is kirito everyone!

and that spit scene was disgusting ._. he had no need to do that, which now allows me to label him as crazy. he's interesting in terms of how he makes people calm, though (of course).

Inspectors really need to learn some decent self-defense skills. Gino, Akane, Aoyagi, Shisui (and most likely Mika too) none of them have shown convincing ability to defend themselves without their Dominator. If you are not planning to take your hounds with you (Aoyagi) you better be as tough your hounds.. I wonder if it is because they are afraid that regular sparing would increase their hues.

Mika is basically like Gino before he became an enforcer. Had she been there in the place of Akane in season 1.. well they might've failed in the end, but the two would have seen eye to eye. A bit of irony actually as I am sure Mika would have respected Gino as an Inspector, yet treat Gino the enforcer the way Gino told Akane how to treat Enforcers. While I did not Mika as she is now Gino as an Inspector, I think that this is really because we know things that they don't. As the professor said, Akane -is- the weird one.. it just so happen that she is weird in a good way, but normally you wouldn't want an officer of the law to bend (not break) the law. Also, though Akane wasn't as "annoying" as Mika at the moment, it still took her about 17 episodes before she stepped up and became useful (and badass) so I will definitely willing to cut her some slack.

I do like how much Akane has grown as an Inspector and leader. Something I quite like is how her manner of speech is with the "chief" when they are on their own (she uses a polite manner of speech in the presence of Mika, but even ignoring tone of her speech, the manner of speech is also not one uses toward a superior and really shows her contempt towards the chief/Sybil).

There really was a lot wrong with this episode:

  • "Chief" and Akane not interacting how they should considering what they both know of eahother.
  • Saiga turning himself in (seriously, needs a better excuse than "he felt guilty), and somehow being allowed to get comfy in isolation
  • Nobody seemingly remembering anything about the anomalies from season one
  • Gino having become so relaxed himself, yet still showing zero faith in Akane
  • Everything about, and everyone around Aoyagi and how they fell for that trap

and those are just a few. I hope at least the Gino x Aoyagi ship hasn't fully sunk, before it even undocked.

So much stupid that I'm trying not to think too much about.
The most grating bit this episode though was that inspector getting floored and beaten by the citizen in the clinic. Do they not get taught self-defence...? At all?

The way that was directed it was presented as an "obvious" transition (not requiring any explanation)... So am I led to believe that that should be the expected outcome here? Without their Dominators an ordinary citizen (an old man no less!) will easily overpower a trained and experienced inspector? I mean they've shown the gym and advanced taining facilities they have at their base plenty of times before... But yes, okay.

And that robot dog certainly doesn't explain it by the way. It's not built for attacks and has no teeth (its purpose seems to only be to accompany the elderly--like that old man...), it can only headbutt as shown. And further, the show didn't even bother explaining why on Earth that dog attacked the inspector in the first place. The man didn't seem to direct it to do so in any way. And the inspector didn't have a crime coefficient so one would ask how/why such a thing would be possible...

Also that new inspector's character (can't even remember her name) is so unbearably inconsistent and weak. They better explain her grudge and shitty attitude soon. It's just bad, annoying writing when you present such problematic characters but hold off the relevant information that actually explains them from the audience, just for a cheap way of riling up their emotions and getting a "stronger" twist when you finally reveal the full context. At least when you drag it out like this... It's just needlessly grating to watch and nothing more. She's like a grouchy hormonal teenager right now. No one likes that.

So many dumb decisions have been made in just these 3 episodes. I did originally wonder why they spoiled so much in the opening, but it's kinda become clear to me now that it was all really obvious anyway. The writing is bad enough that it doesn't matter. Like that extremely obvious trap the female inspector walked into this episode... Or how we know the bad guy is utilising the holographs to trick the system--since episode 1 the show made that point clear to us--which only makes it grating watching all the inspectors and enforcers faff around not realising it.

And why on Earth did they decide to dedicate so much time to that scene with Ginoza and the female detective? And try make it so emotional with that BGM...? We've seen barely anything from that character up till now. Why on Earth does the show expect us to care enough about her backstory to get so choked up about it? (because that is definitely what they were trying for with that sad piano...). Or expect us to care enough to want to pay attention to all of it? Why throw us so suddenly into so much information about her character like that?
...I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that she'll die soon, and this was the show's awful way of cheaply and quickly fleshing out her character before that happens. To make it seem like an actual character died there instead of the blank canvas she otherwise was up till now.

This just isn't how you properly flesh out a character. It's rushed, obvious and doesn't work.

Ahhh this is going to be painful isn't it. I've already gone off on a lot and I could still easily go on about Kirito's cringey/stupid character or how there's little writing consistency/continuity from season 1--not in characters or plot--for seemingly no reason other than it being very convenient for the script.

I actually thought the writing in the first season was pretty bad, but here it's clearly taken a nosedive in quality from even that.

i do see many ppl on mal complaining about her how they would expect an inspector to have some martial arts/self defense in that situation to stop the man
so looking back at it i cant really fault her given the situation she points the dominator at the guy, his CC is like 23 and his robo dog lunges at her and is on top of her, and the dominator is knocked away. Then it switches to the other characters someplace and then it switches back to the old man going on a rant about a saviour and punches Risa who seems to already be knocked.  so whatever happened in the transition, i can only assume the dude had one mean punch to do some serious dmg but idk

It’s so refreshing to see Gino having a conversation with his colleagues.

Also, Tougane has the highest crime coefficient on record. I think that’s a red flag, as well as what he said about Akane. I don’t know if I can trust him yet.

Also, Mika, seriously? You want attention from the chief. Way to show how envious you are of Akane.

He seems to be targeting the inspectors a lot.
