| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Last episode before postponement :( corona chan takes another. That’s a pretty brazen way to react to someone who just helped your friend, Appare..”one day my car will be in front of yours” Appare in general is so smug it’s hilarious considering he’s got Tanjirou’s seiyuu. The whole interaction with Al was pretty funny. “Can I ride it for a minute?” No. Lmao Jesus that race was insane, if that’s any indication of what’s to come during the actual competition we’re in for a treat. Wasn’t expecting appare to invent nitro lol Another really good episode. Shame we’ll have to wait months probably for it to finish . The aesthetic of the show is really colourful and it’s really fun overall. Has some FLCL vibes as well as Oban racers. Some great and original character designs too |

| Finally time that Appare has found his car-racing rival match: Dylan of the Thousand Three, but not without the "three little Indian kid" character design lookalike Hototo appearing in their sights. With the experience from Jing's racecar last episode, Appare begins his dominance, starting with designing his own car for the Trans-America race. And in comes a sibling family (Al Lyon & Sofia, part of the B.I.GBOSS big 3, BNW) on business to take over Appare and Kosame's temporary warehouse and setup their racecar (which honestly looks like a old-timer Ford with BMW specs that was built in the 20th century). Knowing Appare's assertiveness, he wouldn't back away from challenges with big risks. A segway scooter? Wow I'm impressed for the idea that's taken from modern times, and made old. Though it was bizarre for old 19th century LA. Appare's steam tank-car combine vs. Al Lyon's race car. Erratic and ecstatic racing that's like Car's Lightning McQueen vs. Doc Hudson. Liked it, and definitely loving it. Turns out, that was the spare car for other uses, but a W is a W. The Covid delay means that we won't have more of this until the near future. Anticipating the return regardless. |

| What can't the main character do? think of a new engine from scratch, with no training or equipment what so ever; build it alone in few days; drive as a racer. That his creation has no aerodynamics, it uses wooden wheels, which would just crack at that speed. Not even mentioning how it would just blow the drivers away from their sit or just suffocate them. The author has as much knowledge about cars, as Violet Evergarden's - about emotions. |
| Looks like this was the last episode before the postponement. Not gonna lie, thought it was already postponed with this episode airing later too. It was average, kind of boring for me. A step down from the other 2 episodes in my honest opinion. Still, shame to see this show go for the time being. |
| Meh episode. My attention really just wavered here. First race turns out....well....all good, I guess. I’m very unsure how to interpret the intended theme or tones of the show yet. Too bad I have to wait for some time to start figuring that out again. |

| Wow that short recap of things in XiaLian/ Amamiya Sora's voice was dope. Lol Appare's "huh" moments are lit af, I really like the face he makes. Pretty decent episode, I liked that rich boy and girl. They seem like nice people. One of the good animes from this season, hoping to see this comeback soon. |

| They are trying way too hard with this one. Wish they ease up a little the fantasy crap and make it more down to earth. The concept of the show is nice but the execution is bad so far. Probably gonna stick for a couple more episodes. |

| It was the best episode so far, i laughed so hard with Kosame flying to the tree, i was expecting some type of shortcut, since there was no way to beat the other car with normal speed, but the flying(or just throwing Kasame at a really high speed) was totally unexpected. I'm very happy with how this is going. Sadly, only god knows when we will get new episodes, so i will have to wait patiently until then. |

| I'm liking this show a lot more than I expected. The race was so fun and crazy. I loved how Sofia took the Segway and had fun with it, it was adorable. I really like her and Al is pretty nice, too. Xialian... Man, I love Xialian's design so much <3 What a shame we won't have more of this series in a while, I hope it won't be that long. |

Damn I was so looking forward to seeing P.A Works come back after the abysmal Fairy Gone and man that race was so jokes lmao. I knew Appare was gonna do something crazy but didn't expect that ending lolol I can see Al being modeled from true BMW drivers, cocky, arrogant and pretentious. If only he randomly cut off Appare during the race to complete the holy trinity. 10/10 realism |

| Ok now after this race and segway I see that it will be more like Wacky Races then "real" races. ok seeing Appare smiling redeemed him a little, I mean he is still irritating with his apathetic personality but it seems that there will be more to him than what we see now. |

| This was so much fun and the one thing I definitely needed at the end of this week! Just a shame that the postponing kicked off right now :( So far I love the character designs, they really stand out in this late 19th century LA. Bright and colorful! Xialian definitely my favorite for now! I swear Sofia reminds me of Sonia from Pokemon Sword/Shield Race was pretty cool and definitely not how I expected it to end. Appare is mental, but in a good way XD They won Al's car, but I feel like Xialian might take that one over (I kinda forgot the car she was sitting in from the opening scene of the series) The segway bit was pretty damn funny, Sofia was having fun on that! | I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the ending song in any of the episode threads (that I've seen). It's amazing. It's like a Japanese country song. The singer even has a twang in his voice. I've never heard any anime music like that. Honestly, that song sounds way better than American country music produced after the 1980's. Also, Xialian is really attractive. Other than that, while I'm not a huge fan of racing, the setting is very interesting and its keeping me invested. |
| this show is growing on me seeing Appare do a 180 when he race makes more sense with his in his own world personality outside of racing. Funny we got our Rich BMW driver that's quite full of himself but at least he was a gent and a man to his word, got a another cute girl Sofia saying she would take the Segway and cut to her happily riding got me good. not sure how they are gonna handle some more serious notes this show seems to be foreshadowing like straight has a native american in which their story arc is finding the people that stole everything from them (i just wanna watch wacky cars race yall) also the stakes were set so high their was no way they were gonna lose but somehow i didn't expect them to full on win in a way that only you could say bull shit lol |

| I am starting to find these characters really really charming. Appare is so cold. But, a protagonist like him is nice to follow at times. Lyon kind of reminds me of Dorian Gray from the Oscar Wilde novel. lol. It's sad that this is also going on a hiatus. This anime was one of those few entertaining things I could look forward to every week during this time. |
| Every time I watch the opening I get flash backs to watching wacky races when I was young. Then I get plunged into the episode with interesting characters, great story and some good fun. Most excellent show! |

| Liking this show more by the episode. Sadly however, this will be it for now until further notice. Damn it, Corona-chan. Appare and Al's interactions are something to really look forward to in the future episodes. Both have similar attributes and I found that mingling to be charming, personally. Damn, that scooter though. Creating that by the 19th Century is almost surreal but the fact that he managed to make a car out of a broken boat makes it seem "normal". Just how bizarre is Appare, xD. BNW, lol. Unsurprisingly, that car turns out to be the spare after all. Saw that coming. Appare's "huh" towards the end there was hilarious, I wonder what he's got in his mind. A sneak peek into Hototo's past, and it certainly was horrific. I'm liking how he's blending in to the group so nicely. Looks like Ordin's had endeavors with those people in crime though, that's interesting. Who's that contestant in the end (midway during the ED) there, I wonder... |

| It's sad to see this show, amongst others, being delayed by that damn virus, but the health of the production team matters far more. We'll have to wait for a while, but I do look forward to seeing this show return, as this episode was crazy and entertaining as I hoped it would be. Al was acting like a rich kid would do, spoilt and complacent. These sort of guys are the perfect people to go up against and beat, as it would make the taste of victory MUCH sweeter. Appare did a fine job with his boat car for the race and I really enjoyed the way he switched his personally upside down and reacted like a kid at Christmas when his creation went at full speed. From the ambitious shortcut that somehow didn't bugger up the wheels to the emergency overboost that parted the engine from the car's chassis and had a panicking Kosame clinging on for dear life was VERY fun. Stupid, but fun, the same way that Wacky Races was back when that aired back in the 1960's. XD Aside from the racing, we did get a small look into Hototo's past, where his family were pounced upon by a gang of gunslingers, with one of them shooting his father dead that had the snake tattoo on. I wonder if that same murderer also appeared during the credits with that sinister grin. Whatever happens, we'll have to wait for this series to resume sometime in the future. | I think Appare is going to tear down his new BMW for parts. He doesn't seem like the type to drive it, considering he has a one-track mind of doing whatever he wants, he won't allow things like money, prestige, brand names, etc. get to his mind. Sophia was adorable, I thought that she was Al's wife or fiancee but I guess she's his caretaker? I wanted to know more about Al since he looked badass in the first introductory episode but now he's such an ass. So fucking full of himself. Still, I kinda like him because he admitted defeat quite easily and had pride enough not to take he segway. But Sophia definitely took it. She was adorable riding it. |

| That race was so cool! Also I couldn't agree with Al more; Appare is completely nuts haha I like that the plot isn't be rushed and we're getting to know the characters in depth before they race. It'll make the race itself more interesting since we'll be invested in the outcome. It sucks that we have to wait for god knows how long for the rest of the season now 😩 |

| Solid episode, idk if I liked it as much as the other two but so far this show is a 7/10. Paused for the time being but I look forward to when it comes back. Hopefully it is longer than 1 cour tho because I think the race will need a good amount of episodes, which could be an issue with how the pacing is more focused on the events leading to it. I think it might've been better to do a Princess Principal where, so that . At the same time tho Shriobako got two cours so who knows. |

| Have to say I'm kinda impressed with how Appare won that race. Makes me wonder if there's going to be a rocket feature in the final product somehow lol. But yeah, overall good episode. |

| I really enjoyed the episode, beside the fact that Appare is using steam against gasoline-based vehicles and he even won, there’s nothing more I can complain about. I just hope this kind of details doesn’t define important events in the future, cause that is not gonna make sense at all. I’m just trying to enjoy it right now. |
