It's a street food, it is common here in the Philippines since it was orginated here where you can see someone selling it in the streets or around the village. I think foreigners in our country are those who're unfamiliar with the taste and of course theyre thinking of eating a chick

Thank you very much for the quick answer! A lot of ef - a tales of memories' recommendations are many anime I saw and really enjoyed, so I'll give it a try when I have time ^^

The character design is awesome, too bad the anime didn't live to its full potential :( I was reading the synopsis and it seemed like it had a lot of potential but it couldn't fill it. I watched a lot of anime like this and they're really frustrating and easily forgettable. I want to watch something that makes a strong impression in me, so thanks for saving me the time and the negative feelings hahaha ^^

Yeah, MMD is a really confusing program and hard to use. You really have to be serious about it to be able to make them move well from scratch. I barely know how to use the program myself.

I really like the character design in Steins;Gate as well. As for the pacing, the slow build up didn't bother me at all, probably because it kept me wondering how things worked and what was going to happen, and also because I really enjoy the character interactions. And now that it finally picked up, the whole show has just gotten better.

Regarding your second point (the time leap machine), I'm forced to agree: both the concept and the building of the machine seemed way too simple. It is also true that in time-travel related stories, it's difficult to avoid plot-holes. However, I still think that Steins;Gate is doing a good job thus far.
