I feel bad for Tsumura as his mom ends up in the hospital. Hell, he even hs to get new jobs to pay the bills.

I kinda like how this episode took on a realistic approach. Anything can happen any time.

at the middle of the episode I was feeling very uncomfortable with Ikuto being pressured by everyone and with the mental stress this situation was leading him to, but the way the money problem was solved was so satisfactory and relieving! it was also very logical in the terms of the story, not a "deus ex machina" resolution

So we see Ikuto's past at first it was only him and Honoka, well in that funeral scene that is, so does that mean that Aoi and Ichika were Ikuto's half sisters??

Man, that was quite a predicament the had to make a lot of that Ikuto was undergoing, he was tempted by 2 parties and yet he still manages to keep his pride of not giving up and not betraying Kokoro. Chiyuki on the other hand wasn't having it easy in Paris.

Well, in the end Chiyuki's otosan has offer Ikuto to buy his early design, and Chiyuji gets to become Ikuto's model so now it's up to them to prove thier worth in the fashion industry....

Wow, what an episode! Ikuto is under an incredible amount of pressure, enough that it was getting a little hard to breathe just watching as more and more kept piling on. Chiyuki just keeps running into dead ends over and over. It was amazing to see both of their beautiful smiles at the end.

Weaker episode - for the first time after a lot of very strong episodes. I had expected this. The thing with the mother was finished too fast. Then a bit about Chiyuki's father and the money. Was build-up/preparation episode for the stuff next to come.

Aww. In the end he chose his own path, and while almost giving up, someone gave him a helping hand, although most of it was caused by his own hard work.

Maybe a bit dramatical but i don't mind seeing it once in a while.

Okay, this episode was unpleasant to watch until that good thing happened in the end. I knew Ayano was bad news, someone who always had everything tried to take advantage of Ikuto's plight to make him give up on being a designer. Then there's Kokoro's manager who tried to buy him to make his friend give up on her dream, after having investigated his whole life too. I know money makes the world go round, but these two are low. Really, really low. I can't even. Ikuto was going through a lot while trying to cling to his dream, supporting his family, and encouraging his friends to follow theirs. I was really mad when he lashed out at his sister, but I can't even bring myself to blame him. I just hope he says he is sorry later. And I hope he said what he screamed in the street into Ayano's face before leaving his atelier, but unfortunately I doubt it. I hope he can make him shut up by getting at least second place if Ayano ends up winning this festival though. Chiyuki's father was the MVP, and the best part is that he wasn't doing Ikuto a favor, but paying what he deserved for that design. I'm really glad this door opened up and that he was able to remain true to himself, without having to sell his soul or dreams. He also asked Chiyuki to be his model after she went through that too. Can't wait to see them stealing the show. And I hope Kokoro succeeds as much as possible too, so she can keep on dreaming instead of giving up.

Ahhhhhhh! This is such a good show but its got such a glaring annoyance! They keep repeating the same drama formula of shitting all over the main characters and dam the human race is shown as absolute scum in comparison to our saint Ikuto. None of these feel human. Its like they all lost their humanity for corperate. Honestly that manager and basically everyone in the industry is portrayed as absolute evil. Its like if Shield hero started as normal but everyone was Malty. The series wants us to hate everyone but a select few. I wish this was more like Skip Beat which covers a very similar thing but does it better in my opinion as it doesnt portray everyone to be the most unlikeable person you can think of. Like, I get it, Ikuto is a very nice guy but dont make everyone else absolute scum just to emphasize that point. And now that I think about it this was literally just the same formula from the first few episodes repeated just with a different catalyst to start it all.

On a more positive note it was nice to see Ikuto invite Chiyuki to be his model. Honestly I was so expecting Chiyuki to reveal that she didnt go to paris and would actually spend her money on Ikuto's mother's treatment since they made it a point to show specifically how much money she had but this works as well. It is nice to see some kind characters finally appear. The father never really came across as an absolute asshole like the rest of them so him being kind now really makes sense and I can get it. Its really nice to see that design being bought. It was a good outfit and the look Chiyuki makes when looking or wearing it is the best. Love those two. They're the reason Im watching this show.

I just pray to god that they change their drama formula just a bit so we dont have this repeating cycle. Its a great series but its re-watchablility is seriously at risk if this continues. There must be a million ways to create drama that doesnt rely on people shitting all over the main characters. Just look at Skip Beat as a perfect example with a similar setting.

Great episode as always.

I'm glad Ikuto's mother survived the operation. :)
That was a real tough situation.

I kinda teared up at the end when Chiyuki's Dad offered to buy Ikuto's design which would help him out financially. :)
The last scene with him asking Chiyuki to model for his show was great.

Soundtrack continues to be fantastic.

In this episode it was shown that money is everything and in order to get what you want the sum does not matter, Ayano is simply used to cleaning the floor with the aspiring designer since he has had Mai Ayano as his guide, as Igarashi can only say that she is the most opportunistic witch that can exist, the evil manager dared to investigate Ikuto and his family and comes to offer him the money he needs in exchange for making Kokoro give up being a designer and she dared to insult Chiyuki, for the first time I would have liked that truck-san had passed over Igarashi and that way Kokoro would be free from this exploitative manager.
The situation is further complicated because Ikuto was exhausted from working so much and this also affects him to prepare his design for his fashion show at the Geika festival, but the unexpected call from Chiyuki's father was like a light of hope, since he offers Ikuto to buy the design of the outfit he made for Chiyuki and for a high sum of money.
The final part moved me a little, since before Chiyuki's father spoke about the purchase of the design, he mentions to Ikuto that Chiyuki's trip to France resulted in a great blow to Chiyuki's self-esteem, but after that little miracle, Ikuto invites Chiyuki to be the model in his fashion show at the Geika festival and she accepts with tears in her eyes, this friendship is increasingly moving.

The episode was very sentimental, Ikuto suffered a lot of sadness and anguish, the delicate health of his mother, who fortunately lived, but medical expenses overwhelmed the family, the way Ayano and Igarashi trampled Ikuto's dreams and ideals in exchange for money that would help him not only pay for his mother's treatment, it would also help him prepare his fashion show, but finally Kokoro and Chiyuki's father achieved the miracle that this boy needed so much when he was about to give up.

This is the episode where things fall apart for Ikuto, but don't worry, he get a lucky break at the end. While some of the moments in this episode feel a bit too saccharine (I still don't understand why did the show frame Ayano and Igarashi's offers like a temptation to join the dark side), this was one of the show's strongest episodes. I'm really enjoying this show for its realism and its ability to make you care about the characters.

fuuuuckkkkkkkk what an episode that was. I really like how they played the poor aspect of Ikuto rather than just using it in name and making it have no impact at all. And best girl Kokoro coming in, looking out for her senpai and keeping that ship afloat. bruh I don't even care about Chiyuki's story anymore just let it focus on Ikuto and his family lol

And I also like the reality sense of it. Unfortunately talent/hard work can only get you so far, but having no money can really put a hamper on things

Honestly I'm getting really big Kono Oto Tomare vibes from this. Not in the sense of the plot/characters, but more in the sense that the drama starts off meh/okayish, but it reallly becomes impactful later on

Ikuto still has the evil manager's card. I feel like it may cause problems later in the story.

Now, it's time to admire some people. Ikuto, despite being frustrated after being told to give up on his dreams, didn't even consider telling Hasegawa to quit hers. And Hasegawa, who had once been helped by Ikuto, immediately solved Ikuto's problems. Then, as a result, Ikuto was able to cheer Chiyuki up. So, Hasegawa and Ikuto are awesome!!

Ikuto's mother is at her worst capacity, and elder sister Honoka isn't happy about it, with this issue being another major ordeal in a saga of tragic family life. Even worse is Ikuto's mental brakedown in her "last days". BUT THANK GOD she is A-OK, just to lessen her stress levels and not move too much.

All that's left is the bill settlement...which forces him to a corner to stop his work, and that's where Toh Ayano fills him in with industry expectations that don't cut it for him. More than the money he needs, his life and career depends on it to make and break his life, and in a cutthroat industry as the fashion industry, that does not fare well to amateurs like Ikuto and Kokoro. And to rub salt into his wounds, Kokoro's work as a fashion designer, her manager STILL voids that thought, but trying to deal this with money that deals a bad hand to friends in the iindustry a.k.a Kokoro, driving his corner to extreme levels of manipulation.

Despite all that, and with the festival coming, Ikuto's at a standstill, and likewise for Chiyuki. Don't say that motivation drives them, but what they truly need now is the firm foundation, and being called in by Chiyuki's dad was a surprise to not only pay for his design to compensate for his family's financial struggles, but also to keep his dream and work his passion, together with Chiyuki.

The fashion designer dream of a patternmaker reject and the walkway dream of a short model reject, both Ikuto and Chiyuki are FINALLY working together, hand-in-hand like their past, two rejects forming one alliance of a backbone of rebellious ambitions against the industry's status quo.

Quite a rollercoaster of an episode, excited to see what will entail for both characters.

Shit went from 0 to 100 real quick this episode.

Ayano must be some sort of psychopath to use Ikuto's sick mom as a way to make him his slave and killing his dream while treating the hospital bills like they're nothing, really made me feel sick.

I really like Ikuto and Chiyuki's relationship though. And with how everything always connects between them, it's almost like they're tied by fate.

My God, the "MC's mother actually dying" presage was so strong here.

Quite heavy episode in terms of character drama (even more dramatic than usual) but I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The whole "everyone shitting over Ikuto and Chiyuki followed by a quick satisfactory conclusion for the current episode's problem" formula has become quite repetitive and uninspiring. I honestly hope this said formula changes at some point but with just 4 eps. left, I highly doubt it.
But well, at least the issue regarding the payment of Ikuto's first design was finally addressed since it has been bothering me since episode 2.

Anyways, on a good note, I have to say that the scene with Ikuto reading his mother's supposed "last will" letter was really touching and the way how the atmosphere was handled during the sequence was perfect in my opinion. Easily, my favorite moment of the episode.

Overall, I would say I "liked" the episode. The drama didn't feel forced nor contrived but some other aspects could be easily improved.

P.S.: By the way, Kokoro's manager can go fuck herself. She's pure scum.

Frick this episode was an emotional roller coaster! AND it's clear as day who has Ikuto's back at the end of the day. However my man better apologize to his sister, that part really made me upset.

I also think this episode proved that if there ever was to be a budding relationship it must be between Kokoro and Ikuto. Like I just feel like they have a better chemistry with each other.

Don't get me wrong I like Chiyuki a lot but even with this episode I feel her and Ikuto's relationship is strictly professional.

I'm quite relieved that the episode concluded in a happy note for Ikuto and Chiyuki. But I also have to agree with someone above about how it seems that they are portraying this industry as a place filled only with scummy people. I mean, I get it that not everyone can be friendly in such competitive world but the majority of them being like that... I don't know.

Anyways, I'm excited to see how everything will go with Ikuto's show. ^o^

Hummm, I don't know about you man, but in that funeral scene, both Ikuto and Honoka were still kids probably around 7 and 6 years old respectively, so given that Aoi is a middle schooler , I would have been logical that their okasan would be 1 month pregnant when the otosan died...so it only means that Ichika who is 5 years old would be the half sibling around the household given that the okasan had remarried and got divorce after Ichika was born.....Or it would have been possible that 2 or 3 years after Okuto and Honoka's otosan died their okasan may have remarried and the result were Aoi and Ichika being born.....

Well, in the end Chiyuki's otosan has offer Ikuto to buy his early design, and

Everyone is out to get Kokoro... That girl is almost as unfortunate as Ikuto.

Speaking of Ikuto, in most circumstances, one would consider having bundles of money showed in their face a blessing. Definitely not in his case, though... The prices tag on every one of those bills was far steeper than its name value.

I'm glad that Ikuto's mother is still alive.

Ikuto has been having it really hard lately. He's been offered "dirty money," but he wouldn't accept it, but just before things got even worse, the president of Mille Neige offered him 2 million yen for his dress design, which he appears to have accepted. Now he can pay the hospital bill.
