AOT OP2>OP1, Psycho Pass OP2>OP1 and MHA S2 OP 1 = MHA OP1. The only one I would agree with would be Death Note. Also now the topic has come out Legend of the Galactic Heroes OVA has a better second opening than the first, JoJo also has a better second opening, Konosuba does as well. Also Naruto had a better second OP as well. I would also argue Bakuman's first OP is the weakest as well. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu also has a better 2nd OP. So yeah I can think a lot of exceptions to your rule though this is a subjective discussion our tastes in visual imagery and music might not line up or how much weight we put into that making it a good OP. |

| I think I'm in the minority here, but I never liked Attack on Titan's first OP. At all... It reminded me too much of the weird power metal bands I used to listen to as a kid. | I don't think that's true at all, even from the examples you mentioned. It does happen sometimes obviously, like with Mirai Nikk, but I think shows normally have pretty equivalent quality openings. |
