Oh my...

For a show that felt like it was all over the place, this one actually tried to make itself look emotional. Poor Saiko though. That girl has gone through a lot. At least they made herself somewhat more relevant this season rather than just being a comic relief.

Dat transformation.

I really just want them to stop the series. Touka's and Kaneki's relationship is really undeveloped at the moment. They skipped so much development in :Re season 1 and they completely fucked up the last episode. This episode was covering the clown siege. I'm sorry Studio Pierrot but it was a mistake to even go for Tokyo Ghoul.

I really hope they dont adapt chapter 125 next episode. It would make me cringe af with the pace. It'd be strange to even think about adapting 125, but I guess they have no choice. Well the series is ruined anyways.

Hope for proper reboot in the future. The fanbase will surely be affected by this horrible adaptation.

okay first all all yeah uries squad finally got alot more screen time and i loved that the parts with donato and saiko = best girl where shown but in one ep is too much i mean alone the donato fight would be at least more too show than just a few mins
could b made a hole ep out of it and the left a few awesome speeches and scenes out too but still if it keeps up like that im fine soo far with the outcome

whell that's why this series is making such an uproar (in the bad way) compared to for ex the slime anime this season, people are saying that its 1 volume per 8 episodes;so.... i think tokyo ghoul re in place of having 24 (both seasons i think its more like 3/4) but yeah it skips a lot

Reincarnated as a slime is not bad. The pacing seems to be fine as well. I have only read the manga. The plot was pretty satisfying. I hope a remake of tokyo ghoul is made like fullmetal alchemist, but even if that happens, it will take around 7-8 years for such a production to be finalised.

Another episode that takes a shit on the story. Let's see how much we can cut out of the story and how much action we can shove down the throats of fans.
At least they didn't fully skip the clowns and we got to see the beautiful Uta <3 and Saiko was pretty awesome to see animated.

Overall, fuck this episode and series. 3/10
I'm still gonna watch it though cause I love TG and it is pretty nice to see some of these scene played out in animations, just really upset with how poorly done this adaptation is. It's good for like getting the basic idea of the story, but so much is out of order or just completely cut and re-wrote.

That would suck, tho. I just hope they're saving it for the episode after that.

So I shouldn't get my hopes up for chapter 125 from the looks of the preview they are including
so it's see how much chapters you can cram in to this episode episode

I would go for bad animation 24 episode than this shit

From the previews, I feel like the next episode will also be a mess.

They finally told us Mutsuki's gender, but in such a boring way. Why were they hiding it anyway?

Tokyo Ghoul's manga confuses you a little, but then it makes everything clear. The anime, however, only confuses you. I want to read the manga again to know the stuff that had actually happened cuz I am not sure anymore!! But, the manga is so long, and I don't have the time!!

I wonder if Studio Pierrot hates Ishida Sui for naming the greatest villains of the story 'Pierrot'.

I just love how the Japanese word for clown is "piero," and this adaptation is being done by Studio Pierrot (aptly referred to as Studio Clown sometimes). It's like all the Clowns (Pieros) in this episode were the people over at Pierrot and the innocent bystanders getting blown up and attacked were the :re adaptation. And then the CCG cheering about eradicating the Clowns was a metaphor for the shared and collective hatred toward Pierrot from angry TG fans, who probably feel like rioting.....well, at least thinking about it that way puts a smile on my face, unlike this terrible adaptation.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Any emotional scenes they do decide to adapt have zero impact whatsoever since there's no buildup or development to them. How are the people supposed to connect and feel for a character when its like this? Just watching it out of love for the source material at this point.

Well, what can you expect? The manga itself turned into garbage after Rushima arc. I personally consider that Tokyo Ghoul:re ended with Arima's death.
I don't get why many people seem to talk about chapter 125, or Ken and Tonka's relationship in general.

This joke is already famous since the end of the first manga when we discover the clowns altogether for the first time. In chapter 143 of Tokyo Ghoul, we see Uta, Itori ect... and they are laughing and saying "Who will have the last laugh ? It's us, the Pierrots"

And at the time, there were some pointing of the double-meaning of this sentence haha.

So Suzuya has been dubbed as the new Arima, mhmm! I like him but there is no but, he can fit into that role.

Urie going berserk was my highlight but that quickly rose down fast. Things are about to get interesting at the CCG headquarters with the new Director, he seems over the top though with those executions.

The only reason manga readers are hanging around is because of 125, let's wait and see how this will turn out although I have a feeling the split second we got in the preview will be the entirety of that.

It's pretty annoying how they decided to skip Mutsuki's role in the Rushima arc and decide to add it in here like it's nothing. There's also one big thing that was cut out this episode but I guess it won't affect the story too much I guess, which is [spoiler]"Kaneki" getting brought out and executed in front of the CCG [/spoilers]
