this shit is getting absolutely fucking ridiculous in a good the best way possible.
seriously. shit is flying off the hook.
and this was amazingly well animated, i heard somewhere that the last 2 episodes had 40% of the budget set aside, but after watching this, especially in hd, im pretty sure it was the entire space arc. shit looks beautiful.
words cant really explain, screenshot time

I really hope that Simon saves Nia at the end cause OTP. D=

Poor moon, then there'll be no ocean tides, moonlight, etc.. etc

I can't see the moon tonight, Simon really did it holy shit! I really want to see Nia back to her old self at the end. I can't help but feel for Rossiu, I mean he just went through all of that planning and sacrificing and Simon made all of that moot and saved everyone. He just realizes how useless he really was and how he was about to doom the entire human race with his logical calculations. I guess in TTGL though, logic won't be getting them anywhere :p.

Damn, that's what I was hoping for... for them to go on to fighting the Anti-Spirals. Wouldn't have it any other way... this epicness must go on!!

Technically, if anyone happens to ever see this post, they actually did justify this... if only by the line "the battleship has fired it's retros, it's slowly climbing back into it's old orbit"... while technically some tides might change, the fact that it's still the same mass and orbiting the earth means the tides should be the exact same for the most part. It's still technically the same moon, it just has a different shape, which doesn't really affect the existence of tides.

So there's not really anything to explain, as nothing technically changed.

My god was it full of action! And we're just 5 episodes away from the grand finale.

I know this show throws logic out the window but I can't help but ponder about some things such as how the people inside the ship were not impacted by the transformation of Arc-Gurren.

Also the mecha-ception was just odd ahaha. Oh well. I loved it though~

Rule of Cool is soooo strong here. xD

Of course the moon ends up being a ship too. How could I not see that coming?

The breaking through space/time thing was a bit much, but w/e. It is what it is. As long as they don't screw up the plot or character development, I'm not going to criticize the show for following through on its own premise: Screw logic and do impossible stuff!

Thumbs up.

Honestly, at this point I could see myself rating this an 8.

it was a good episode, though i feel they crammed a lot of shit into 1 episode. the using a gunman to pilot an even bigger gunman struck me as utterly ridiculous, as did the punching through space and time.

Rossiu seemed pretty unhappy at the end there, surely he won't end up doing anything villainous.

I'm surprised nobody feels sorry for all the citizens in the Arc-Gurren when it transforms. Noone in his right mind could ever do that, there're ~180,000 people inside its legs and arms and body, and its kicking around like that. Gonna ****ing kill all the passengers, gg.

Yeah, you'd think that with all that flying, kicking, and punching that the people aboard the ship would get tossed around a lot. And this isn't the only plot hole...like, how are they able to breath in space? (especially the part at the end when Simon gets out of the cockpit to talk to Nia...)

Omg a mech piloting a mech????? Yo dawg I hear you like mechs so we put a mech in your mech so you can pilot a mech while you pilot a mech!

Once again it turns out that there is a final "enemy" despite conquering the moon.

Leeron was funny this episode. "It's so hard to be this popular!"

The action is back to being ridiculously over-the-top, but it's still a pretty good show!

SO FUCKIN' EPIC.

Simon + Viral piloting Gurren Lagann is the best thing that's happened after Kamina of course. They just have that same determination and ake such a great team! It's a little surprising though how Viral didn't even give it a second thought but he knows deep down that he wanted that chance x3

WTH Gurren Lagann combined with the Arc?! COOL! I just love how they just drill a big hole in it and suddenly they combined xD

I wonder what's up with Nia? She obviously doesn't want to be on the Anti-Spiral side. Maybe she has no choice but to obey their commands? Whatever. Just hope that the stupid cowardly people don't want Simon dead anymore.

It's too obvious that Rossiu wants the spotlight and is jealous of Simon for always being the bravest of them all and the hero. I wonder what the people he left behind will think of him?

This is becoming ever more ridiculous and extreme with each passing episode. The epicness is just constantly escalating.

I thought this was a decent series pre-timeskip, but it's actually gotten so much better post-timeskip now. I'm finally starting to see why this is so well received.
It's an entirely different kind of flying, altogether!

This episode reminded me why I love TTGL.
Lots of things happen in this episode, the pacing of the series contributes to this but you won't feel dizzy or confused, you won't have to pay too much attention to get the details, a shame that there're only 27 episodes, though.

Wonderful rewatching this episode. The word EPIC gets bounced around a lot, but this show really does it better than most.

Oh Rossiu...you're not fit to even carry Simon's ballsack. You're a small, mediocre pencilpusher.

That was one of the most awesome episodes I have ever watched! Seeing Dai-Gurren mowing through all those Mugann like a 1000 degree knife on butter was amazing.

I was wondering where the rock battle soundtrack went for a while and it suddenly came back at the best possible moment in the Arch Gurren Lagann transformation. They even punched a hole into the fabric of space and time!

The falling of the moon turned into Majora's Mask then it suddenly turned into a big-ass battleship lmao

Nia was starting to sound like a chuuni with that absolute despair thing of hers lol. Seeing that she's not entirely gone was a very emotional moment. I hope she gets saved~
