My only negative is Aurora. Dear Aurora, before you care about your name, you should first care about the content of your character, bcs it sucks, and it's killing my enjoyment towards what could have been one hell of a plot. (and they even went as far as hinted it from the middle of the series!) |

Am I the only one who found this show brilliant? When you actually take a look at everything they did throughout the show...it was all intentional. Even the parts that were bad, were making fun of a trope that always seems bad in shows to poke fun at it. Combine that with the 4th wall breaking, the deconstructing of parodies, and the actual blend of real topics and such they discussed in the earlier episodes, and the show just ended up being damn good. Even in this final episode alone, they made fun of the director, characters with stupid names, those dramatic scenes where the MC is forgotten by their family, parallel worlds and worlds being destroyed, power of friendship, Gurren Lagann parody, broke the 4th wall with the character sketches and the eyecatch. And the list goes on and on. I'm sure there wont be a sequel, but that's fine, because this was enjoyable enough and had a good conclusion. |

I found this to be a clever examination of the anime genre, industry, and fanbase. I like how it pointed out how fans often say they want the real world to be like anime, but that reality would actually be an awful one. The show's slow progression towards being more "anime-like" was wonderfully subtle. Even the random cuts to Yui making fun of fanservice were a form of commentary. There could have been more hints about Aurora and I wish the finale could have been given more time, but overall it was very enjoyable. But the main reason I appreciate this series is because it did something incredibly brave. Everyone talks about how if they wrote a story of their own they would do a crazy, out of nowhere twist that completely changed the genre of the story. Of course, no one ever does this because it would shatter the audiences' immersion and annoy the hell out of them. But this show had the guts to an insane shift to a completely different format in the last two episodes. They threw story telling convention out the window to do what every wants to do, but no one has the courage to do. I RESPECT that. |

I'm actually surprised that they went this far to create a satire anime that went from what makes an anime special to anime viewers (being otakus, fighting against anime haters, making anime, etc) to criticizing how ridiculous it is (meta 4th wall breaks by self-aware anime character, ridiculous climax, power of friendship, etc). It's even better on how they keep making Yui a "running" gag character without making her really that important. That's a first for me. Though I think they really missed out on a very good opportunity on making the anime's world actually ending, because the anime ended. Yet it seems to reset to an alternative world where Minoa loves anime and it just weird to me. |

Sadly, it flew by everyone's head. Even after this episode some people think Animegataris was simply a reference dropping machine when it was actually much more which you already have stated. This anime is too advance for the newcomers which is why it felt underappreciated, hated, misunderstood. I've been watching anime for 20 years now so I guess I could I appreciate this more than the average anime fan. It's nice to see at least some people can relate to what I actually saw in that anime 'cause sadly this is the most underrated anime of the season. |

Well, THAT WAS FUN. Oh gosh, had I seen this before playing Doki Doki Literature Club, I would have fallen out my dang chair, this was great. Of course being the scrub that I am I missed a lot of the references and such and it didn't click with me like it did some of the more experienced people here, didn't do a lot for me personally. Again though, it was quite good and I had some good fun with it, so I'm going with a 7/10. |

This show hit all my buttons and tbh I'm glad they didn't go full on bonkers on the final episode like they did in the last, what, three? I liked the fact that it was slightly more down to earth while still being technically the craziest (I hate relying on "crazy" to describe it but it sums it up pretty well) of all the episodes. Animegataris wins for me this season ♥ 5/5 |

I really liked it, tell the very end. That actually ticked me off. I really hate anime's that do that. Like the whole show never happens & it restarts at the beginning with no difference or a slight difference. I would rather have a no ending & let the viewer decide. |

So they just had a reset at the end? How lame is that? What's the point of watching a show when essentially nothing before the reset actually matters? Huge mistake on a show that was otherwise clever and not afraid to think outside the box. Despite how odd the last episodes were, I enjoyed them quite a bit. The show itself is one giant commentary on the industry, fandom, and tropes and cliches. Some shows try and come up short, but I think this did a solid job overall. I can't emphasize enough how big of a mistake it is to reset everything. I feels, if anything, like a giant middle finger to those who were invested in the development of the characters. Plus it serves no real purpose. A huge shame indeed. Was planning to give this a possible 8/10, but the ending dropped it to a low 6. I still think this is a bit of a hidden gem that will probably eventually hit "cult classic" status. |

lots of crazy stuff & references. That narrator, lasso tool & eyecatch were quite funny. Cool the mechas from both the principal's show & the club's rough anime returned with macross singer. Short hair EMT seems great. New purple girl looks like a nezumi rather than a neko. While neko senpai & Sebas make this more enjoyable, the pres against the club repeatedly is very annoying & boring. |

I always wanted to ask a writer, why they do a reset? Doesn't a reset devalue what they have done previously? My ending would be have them all become anime & live happily ever after. The anime group & the cat would be the only ones that knows that there used to be a real world. I know that would be strange & unexpected |

Also wtf they didn't even bother censoring Imouto sae Ireba Ii lol After that scene I looked, Miyako and Minoa's mom have the same voice actress. Probably got permission too, since that anime is also a bit about the struggles and daily lives of content creators, a theme in this anime as well. Still, what an ending. This was a pretty well done anime considering it was an original. You can tell the staff really loves anime with all the meta, social commentary about anime and making it, wall breaking, and references it had going for it. A solid anime, made by honest to goodness anime lovers, for anime lovers. Also that ending new club member tho. Sneaky, sneaky putting one of the character concepts back in there. Poor Aurora never got his name changed, that still shot of him yelling in frustration in the credits after the club didn't decide to change his name. Would have loved it even better if they changed to to Grovel-Senpai. Sebas permanently a girl now too, awwww yeee. The ending reset was a bit off putting though, but still, safe to assume that things and character relationships, minus Aurora, would probably follow the same course as it did in the anime, so it didn't bother me too much. The same level of character relationship and development would probably likely reapply. Overall, was a pretty enjoyable anime, glad I watched it on a whim. Meta as fuck / 10 |
No I don't read manga. Why? Because according to MAL manga readers, all anime is either: too rushed, too slow, anime original, or a terrible adaption. I like to enjoy anime for what it is, anime. |

This so-called reset will not happen if the previous episodes do not happen. So I feel the previous episodes are not irrelevant but actually necessary for this "happy" ending to happen. Kind of Madoka. So they just had a reset at the end? How lame is that? What's the point of watching a show when essentially nothing before the reset actually matters? Disappointed by the sudden change in direction in the last couple of episode. It just went batshit insane out of nowhere. Show was great at the beginning-middle episodes. This episode was just crazy and crazier lol. From the wacky art to Aurora just trying to get his name changed (RIP) to the return of that old anime to the return of RoboAlice and then a full reset ... wow o_O Was off to a good start and was enjoyable in the first couple of episodes for me - I really liked seeing the characters connect over anime - but completely changed in the latter half of the show. All I can say is, they really did something different lol. Characters were all pretty interesting and the music was good too. Art was usually good but all I can say is that while I was "entertained" by means of "WTF"-ness and enjoyed the parodies and 4th wall breaks, overall I didn't think it was that good of a show. I thought the middle episodes were pretty weak since they kept repeating the "shut down the club" thing. I appreciated what this show did but I didn't like it. I guess the ending was fitting at least? :P 5/10 |

This anime was actually pretty enjoyable in the middle (ep5-8), too but it turned into an ultimate trainwreck, didn't like that a bit, even if it was planned from the start because by doing that they just invalidated all previous character developement. 4/10 Promising title that didn't deliver. Yeah the series started off good with some good anime parodies and insight on anime creation and enjoyment, but at a later eps it became a mediocre of an anime. The plot turned trashy from ep 10 to 12 and it became one load of bullsh#t, I know that they were trying to show the impact of anime on both the creators and consumers( in this ep) but it sucked. I will give a 6/10. |

This anime was tragic... and not in a good way. Like, I'm fucking pissed that Aurora was erased from existence and everyone was brought back in an alternate timeline where they didn't remember their time together and things were slightly different. The whole twist with Aurora was stupid because it was Kai Kai who always just wanted to be called Kai and Aurora never seemed to have a problem with his name until the twist... and then that's literally all he cared about, even up until the end. The thing I loved about this anime originally was the friendship but all of that was for nothing. I literally do 'hate this piece of shit anime' for messing with me like that. |

Man Animegataris ending just ruined what I loved about the series in the first place (which was the friendship aspect forged through anime). Like I'm legit depressed by the way it ended. It's an awesome series if you look at it just from the meta approach but personally I hate the direction they went with in the end that made everything feel pointless. 7/10 only because I really loved the first 8 episodes or so. |

GreenBenjamin said: can someone explain to me what this final ep was about? In the original timeline, Minoa didn't create the anime club and everything that happened from the beginning was a case of the universe being rewritten when Neko-senpai breached the 4th wall to go to Minoa's universe aka reality. The reason why Minoa doesn't know about the popular Nakano at the start was because he never existed in their world the first place and was brought to their world by the beret and the director. Minoa's world was becoming an omnidirectional anime but the world tried to erase & reset everything from the start like a fail-safe. You could say it was an Animeapocalypse. So Minoa had to retrieve the beret and place it back on the anime side but the animefied world was in chaos so even going a few blocks to school was almost impossible to do. Bringing the Beret to the anime side meant that Minoa had to cross their and be stuck forever so Nakano took the Beret from her and became a concept instead and Neko-senpai went with him. Since all the anime elements from reality was removed, Minoa's world was rewritten back to the original. It was a reality where the Anime Club was not disbanded, the original Neko-senpai is a girl, Minoa was the last to join, Nakano was an original character made by Kai Kai. Alls well that ends well. Even so, Minoa still feels the absence of Nakano and Neko-senpai. |

That was fun, pretty wacky towards the end but hilarious. That Yui at the end lol The OP/ED were very catchy, really enjoyed listening to them. 7/10 |

Nice ending, it was better than the 11th episode. Poor Aurora... Too bad that they didn't choose to do a full SoL anime, with a lot of references to anime because the first part of the season was very good. It became less fun when the student council tried to close the club at each episodes. |

What a strange way to end this series that started pretty good as a slice of life but really took it's turn, it's pretty much as they said themselves, and either ruined it for the viewer or made it more enjoyable. For me I got mixed feelings as it doesn't really feel like and end of the series and I highly doubt we'll see a second season from this. Oh well, all in all it was a fun watch! |

Fk, I wanted Aurora and Neko-Senpai (THE ACTUAL CAT) to live with them in the real world ;-; Like, Aurora Senpai realized his mistake... he just wanted a name change ;-; |

Uh... The show was not really original, u know. Since I finalized the anime a long ago I don't quite remember, but... I expected a comedy slice of life with a lot of references of our culture, not a... I don't have a hell idea of how to do a script so let's put whatever in this. |
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something. People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English. |

You wanted "lots of references of our culture"? Every fucking episode revolved around some aspect of otaku anime culture. |
