| Death note, snk, fma, and sao i can understand, but why is angel beats in the top five popular anime? As far as I'm aware it hasn't had that big of an impact on the anime community, so why is it that everyone and their mom has watched it? No hate pls, looking for answers :-) |

| It's an easy to follow show with decent visuals and a good sound track that makes people cry which makes them think its well written. |

| It's quite good but it wasn't that sad to be honest. I think I was expecting it to be sadder than it really was. Clannad After Story was sad though. That should be as popular if feels is the defining factor. |

| I think it's because it's one of this age's "gateway anime" now. If people ask for "an anime that will make me cry", then chances are, people are going to recommend Angel Beats, along with the other more popular "feels" shows. |
| Good question. Because of it having only 13 episodes, I felt like it was really rushed and the ending didn't make me sad at all. The animation and OST is good though, but that's all I have to say about it. |

I liked angel beats, it was pretty funny, although I didn't really feel sad while watching until the last episode. I'd put it at 6, it's not really memorable and isn't really deep, but it's entertaining for 13 episodes. hope that helps :-) |

| When a newcomer asks for recs, chances are that Angel Beats will be there along with Death Note, FMAB etc. It's just one of those shows that are really easy to watch when you know haven't watched a lot of anime imo, and Tbh I don't know if I'd be able to rewatch it now. |

| I've been asking myself the same question since one of the few anime i dropped was Angel Beats. I dropped it at episode 3, cause to me it felt like some kind of cringy afterlife highschool comedy. I might eventually give it another try though. |

| Drama seems to be very popular. I don't know many fans of this Anime at MAL but I always thought many people like it a lot. I think it's a good Anime but it was too short in my opinion. |
