I am mostly optimistic but I feel a hint of worry since SHAFT as a studio seems to have declined a lot. I do want a final conclusion to the story, although the first conclusion and movie 3 are both satisfactory options as well.

Chihayafuru isn't shoujo, it's josei

That be giving me even less hope that i'll like it...
On the back of the preview i got it had shoujo written on it ??

Literally just got asked the same thing by Rakkaaa so i just copy n paste

It's a shoujo, so not exactly my cup of tea, i only read chapter 1 'cause i got a free preview of it, the manga just got translated and released now where i am
But it did it's job in getting me curious to pick up the anime, i just didn't like the writing style enough to continue reading
