How many shows do you watch at a time?

And who watches only one at a given time? I need to stick to one and think about it after it gets over to get the full effect. I think I'll get two shows jumbled up and lose coherence to both if I see both. Thoughts on this?

I watch one or two non-airing shows alongside whatever's airing at almost any given time.

Are you talking about airing shows or marathoning? With airing shows I usually watch 15+ a season including longrunning anime. I might forgot what happened last episode or whatever during the week but as soon as the episode starts up I start to remember. If I marathon more than one anime at once(usually switching off every episode) I usually pick anime that are quite different at least in tone so that doesn't really happen and my mind isn't that inefficient that I can't remember which plot point is for which anime. But I don't marathon watch 2 anime that often so I can't say for sure.

Some people (Like me) tends to watch multiple anime that airs once a week for the current season.

It's not very hard to keep track, it's the same as watching a TV show, a new episode gets aired once every one or two weeks.

Currently, watching about 13 different shows. I normally let a few weeks go by on all of them so i can watch back to back and get caught up in a couple of days. Some shows are finished, but mostly its airing anime.

At a given time, I watch 2-3 shows.

One is given to something that asks for investment and attention, so a more serious show. I watch episodes from around 9pm to 11pm; withholding any disturbances in this time slot, of course.

After 11, I like to watch an episode or two of something comedic and light that I can just enjoy and get on with.

On weekends, my pattern is to binge watch, in this fashion, but the time slots are more open to discretion.

I only marathon one show at a time.
Except for shows that are long running (One Piece / Naruto and now even the new Yugi-oh)
Or sometimes even ova's for example that release every 3 months or 6 months etc.

But ... yeah 1 show at a time for me :)

Hm. I used to watch only one show, but then ongoing series came in to play once I got caught up and now I watch many ongoing and completed shows at the same time.

For example, last week I was watching Fate Zero and Parasyte, along with UBW, naruto, one piece, fairy tail (older), jojo, and TTGL.

I've been trying to keep it under 5 shows at a given time. I'll tackle my on-hold list after this. Watching too many anime at once makes it hard to fully immerse yourself in any of them.

I just recently started watching more series at a time, though it's because they're episodic mostly. Otherwise I still prefer to watch one anime at a time.

Prefer watching anime while airing, which usually means watching multiple. Don't think i would have watched as much as i have if i was focusing on 1 show all the time (like when it's pretty bad for example).

I like to fully digest everything about an anime so I have a routine. I always watch one anime slowly for myself. Then I have one I watch with my boyfriend twice a week. Then I have Pokemon as a watch when I want kinda thing. But max at one time will be around 4.

I am watching 14 shows right now. It's mostly because I either got bored with something that was actually pretty intriguing and I knew was going to get better, or I was distracted by an anime that I wanted to see really badly. (Like I got distracted from watching Zombie-Loan because of EVA). I guess I have some 'lack of remembering with shows, but I eventually remember who everyone is, and figure out where the story was and whatnot. If I just can't remember, I put them on hold to 're-watch' the first few episodes to remember everyone.

What I've been doing recently: Watching one show separately (in a marathon), watching one full movie, and then watching all 14 (one episode each) and then watching a sequel/prequel to a show I've seen already and then the cycle repeats. It does make for good coherency to watch them like that, so i'll eventually finally get all of those anime that have racked up for me to get off my watch list. ^^

I mean, I get only watching one show at a time (or franchise for that matter, lol), I do that with Live-action tv shows (Dexter, bought all 8 seasons and watched 4 episodes a day for a month, watched two seasons of Chuck, Nip/Tuck, etc).

So, yeah eventually I'll just watch one at a time (I CAN'T WAIT lol)

Focusing on finishing the remaining shows until I only have 5 left (Nisekoi 2 is an exception.)
