The mc's mecha was being repaired and I assume it wasn't fixed properly or they had to use spares from model 18 which, as we've seen from episode 1 the mc sucks at piloting. |

So unless the gauna was stronger, or something happened to the mcs machine, there should not be much of a difference in the outcome. Pilots dont just have bad and good days. |

Or something similar. Not a fan of this at all. There's a reason the top four failed. Akai broke the plan by trying to save Momose, who in turn got in the way of Aoki and Midorikawa. However, Nagate's attack wasn't as difficult as it was for the others. He didn't have to dodge any placental arms or sustain damage to expose the core - he just needed one shot to generate the Higgs interference reaction, which blew off all the placenta. He capitalized on the Gauna's weakness. Anyways, ep7 will show you that Nagate did not screw up on his own. Regardless, keep in mind that not all Gauna are the same - you're going to see their tactics and physiology evolve throughout the series. |

| 5/5 Tanikaze have a crazy bad luck. Hoshijiro kaput, but the battle is not received to leave a bad taste in the mouth, after the enormity of time used to tell the newspaper Tanikaze and its suitors. Not bad, it looks like we'll make the next episode. The idyll of TanikazeXHishijiro is already finished. Sure you can say that Tanikaze is loved by all, in a sense, ASD Perhaps in this episode I felt less the feeling of the flag of death imposed on the characters, but I would not say that this show is less than other this season, indeed. Sidonia together Brynhildr, are those with the opening and also the most well-chosen OST. P.S. Even BB is not bad ... I'm curious to find out how Kunato has fooled the hapless Tanikaze, to take his revenge, bastard! |

| One more comment on the four "elite" pilots - Akai, Aoki, Midorikawa and Momose. They're elite, but they have no actual combat experience. Even if they did though, it's not entirely relevant. Major spoiler as to why Nagate is superior to all of them. |

| fuck this show. there was no logical reason for them to kill of the best character. absolutely none other than shock value. doesn't help that they were foreshadowing it so much either. additionally, the harem bullshit cements this as a failure. You should do some research before making wild claims. Planetes is an anime that portrays space realistically, far more than this show does, and it's also a hell of a lot better than this. |

| Well that was an interesting way to handle the death of what seemed to be a major character... It looks as if we'll get to see it in flashback--but I don't know why you would undercut what seems to be a fairly dramatic event, particularly since the romantic angle has been receiving a steady build-up the last couple of episodes. |

Where she was in the disinfectant bath it was 98 or 99% complete and then it had to start over? Was there any significance to that or was it just a random thing? |

| Amazing episode, but wow those fucking scum at sidonia are fucking hypocrites. First thing they treat Tanikaze as hero, next thing they do is treat him shit. Pissed the hell out of me. Still Tanikaze seems to be getting his lucky break only to be crushed in the end :O Why is this Kunato scum trying to act all friendly now?! Hoshijiro dead!?! Just as when both of them survived and now developing some feelings, that happened. Can't wait for the next episode! |

| What THE F! Wonder what happened, maybe the Gauna had something to do with Nagate losing his memory, not remembering what happened. I always thought those girls (that apparently are sisters) were clones of each other, glad they made it clear though. |

| Nagate got rescued, promoted to full pilot, hailed as a hero that avenged the Elite 4 and attained a harem who's fighting over him with the addition of 11 genetically modified twin sisters all within a week of his return. The lucky bastard even got to get even closer with the girl he saw naked and drank her piss. He's what men aspire to become *-* That was a very sweet moment they had in that Bathysphere <3 Ready to fight that Hive Gauna. Hoshijiro offers a salute to her captain~ Nagate woke up from a coma and found out that they had casualties. I can't believe that Shizuka's dead...I teared up a little hearing the news and it's the first time that's happened :'( Next episode will show how the battle went. I'm getting ready for despair. |

Just when I was starting to really like her, especially after that conversation they had in the pod about life and the sea. Guess they'll have to turn those Bathyspheres into a jinx too, since people keep dying after riding in them. |

The bathysphere scene really made me believe that "Of course Hoshijiro is going live, she's going to be with Nagate by the looks of it and we all know the main character survives till the end!". She's such a good character I cannot help but want to not even watch the next episode. First, the four cool top garde pilots and now her. When I saw that the sisters were crying, I was sure that it had to be En who had died and was relieved... Okay please. Please let her be alive. I am begging you, Jesus. Revive the lovely Hoshijiro. |
