Well... thing is, if we're talking strictly about the mystery aspect of it, Ranpo is basically like the Danganronpa anime. Yes, the anime, not the game. And you should know yourself that the anime didn't feel nearly as involving as the game when it came to the mystery solving bit. Well that's kinda how Ranpo is in my eyes.
But who knows, it might be better later.
The most important thing to say about Ranpo though is that it's fucking bizarre and weird. I think you should just watch the first two episodes and see for yourself tbh. You might hate it... or not. I quite like the bizarre aspect of it myself. And the animation is nice. Very good OP imo. The protagonist is... something else.
And you should definitely watch Gangsta. It's just a solid watch overall I think. Hard not to enjoy it. Action seinen.
Just wanted to let you know that I'll (almost certainly) be uploading a spoiler video from F/sn Heaven's Feel soonish (scenes from the end of the route). Since you don't know anything about that route I thought it'd be good to warn you. So if you happen to browse those Umineko videos at some point or whatever, be careful. The end of the video title will be a spoiler of sortsl. :p
In a way I feel a liiiittle bad about anyone who subscribed to me thinking that it'd just be Umineko stuff and that they can't get spoiled as a result. But I've never actually said I'd only upload Umineko videos, so....... oh well. That's just how it is.
So none of those are technically 'outstanding' right off the bat then, but might be later.
When I saw that it was Uchikochi on Punchline, I thought it might be some mystery story or something similar... but no, lol. It's interesting though to see him working on something like this.
Thoughts on the first episode of Ore Monogatari now that you've watched it? I'm thinking I'd go with that and/or Danmachi. Because yes Madhouse has been great most of the time for sure.
Hey Wolfie, I'm curious since you're watching a fair amount of airing series now - which ones stand out the most for you?
I'm only watching F/sn since that's a must-watch, but I'm thinking it would be nice to have at least one more.
I'll be honest, seeing some pictures of Hestia/character cosplays of Hestia on Danbooru made me curious about that Dungeon anime. :p
Hey, yea not really. There's no other series that looks very interesting or that I'm already invested in. Well there's Tokyo Ghoul S2 I guess. How was ep1 of that? Honestly though, feels like I'd rather just continue with Parasyte instead. They're kinda similar in a way, yet Parasyte is just straight up better. At least compared to S1.
Death Parade is really awesome though. I can't wait to see what they pull off in the future with that. I've been having fun reading about ep1 in the subforum. There's a lot to think about even though it's just 20 minutes of content... or at least there is thanks to the fact that many people look at it in different ways. It felt pretty straightforward to me when I finished it, but my thoughts on it might not be right - or maybe they are. That's fun. A thought-provoking series... you don't get those all the time. And yea the OP is quite amazing, love it.
