The reactions Sphintus gave as he kept trying to tell his sob story were priceless. My only gripes are minor ones: mainly that reusing footage in the same episode it first appeared is a slight annoyance. |
| Amazing episode. I really love Magi's explanation of magic/magoi and to see it in this setting is wonderful. Also, really funny, I haven't laughed out loud at anything in a while, but the ending was great :) Wasn't sure how I would feel about Myers or Sphintus, but I quite like them both. I wonder if we'll ever hear his story lol. Also...how can anyone see in class over those hats >.> I know some people didn't like what they revealed in the opening of the first episode, but I think it's great because now we're getting to know those characters and it creates an interesting feel to the progression of the series. |

| aladdin+ boobs = never fails to amuse me :D such a perverted little cutie. sphintus! ah, he looked great. i also really liked his voice. the same goes for myers (i'm surprised i have just read one comment about her short outfit. i thought a lot of people would be annoyed by it. well, i'm glad i was wrong.) i can't wait for magnostadt looked a bit different from what i imagined, but it still looked beautiful. such a pretty place. and all those flying people and magic tools - just amazing. |

| MAGI IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I think Aladdin is a bit OP right now. Aladdin with help of rukh is like, 20x stronger than himself without the help of rukh, or at least at the beginning. Considering the rukh will give him a lot of power, I'd say hes spells will be like, 5x stronger than they are right now, unless the anime is a huge plothole, of course |

| Boobs got Aladdin through his training. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he is the youngest hentai in anime at the moment. Really interested in Sai, although we never got to hear his story and I wonder how Alibaba and Morgianna are doing. Hopefully we'll see their progress next episode. |

Anyways, I don't really understand how the rankings work, surely the top ranked students would use all of the types of magic right? So in that sense wouldn't Aladdin be severely under qualified, regardless of how powerful his spells are. |

| Looks like Riem empire next. It's a prospering 200 yro empire, for all intents and purposes it's the fictional equivalent of the Roman Empire! Similar to how the Kou Empire is the Han dynasty during the same era. I didn't expect the magic class to be so exciting, I was relieve to find that the typical asshat bully at school theme was abandoned for a more light hearted comedy episode. I have a feeling that Morg is gonna be the best arc, the places she is going, and the themes explored would be more resonant compared to Alibaba and Aladdin. |
