| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So they added some more childhood storytelling about Ren and Ayumi...meh. Honestly, this TV season (there are still more episodes after this) felt dull. It didn't heighten my interest for the show and it just reflects more events up to this point. Malleus is still a character that hows her malevolent personality even in this episode...and I can't find her interesting at all. The episode had some dark violent moments although I wasn't impressed by it either (torture scene of Malleus). Schreiber is savage.....! Might read the VN sometimes in the future but this anime adaptation was really dreadful. |

| Got to see how Ren and Ayumi met each other and some backstory for Shirou. He simply cannot die. Schreiber was a savage in this episode. He just crushed Rusalka's head. His giant skeleton was cool. This was a terrible show overall. |

| Well, this was some hot garbage. Apparently this series had the source material to match other VN adaptations like Fate if its fans are to be believed, but what came of its anime is, by far, my strongest candidate for worst anime of the year. Not only are all the characters flat as a wall and underdeveloped, the animation looks rough and unpolished, and the pacing is all over the fucking place, the story is impossible to understand, and has no conclusion to speak of, but this also pushes away anyone interested in checking out the VN, which, apparently, are pretty good. This show started to stink form chapter 0, and the only reason I continued to watch it was to see how bad it got. At least that's one thing where it didn't dissapoint. Shameful. I don't think I need to explain what score this will be getting. Edit: Apparently the last five episodes of the series will be streamed online as ONAs, which fucking baffles me. WHY? WHY AIR THE FINALE OF A TV SERIES EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE INSTEAD OF JUST AIRING 17 EPISODES? Well, after this mess I certainly won't be waiting to watch them. I don't care how good they make the ending, this still fails as an anime. |

| Overall I didn't really have any idea what the hell was going on......partly because I lost interest and gave zero fucks about even attempting to understand the events taking place. The story was all over the place, and each new episode made me feel like I skipped 10. I don't have knowledge of the VN, but you don't need any to know that this was an awful adaptation (to put it mildly). |

| Well, the show, at least the main one we still got OVAs left, is complete. Im beating a dead horse here, but this is just a terrible adaptation. The Shirou vs. Wilhelm fight here was hype af in the VN, but it just felt...lacklustre. And like some said, Shreiber's behavior doesnt make sense at this point, but basically the only way he can express himself is through bloodshed. He cant comprehend anything beyond that. 5/10, not the worst show ive watched but still hella boring and disappointing. Couldve been the show of the season imo if it had more than just crowdfunding. If anyone else is still interested, please read the VN on steam, the common route is free to play. |

At least the producers have assumed to have had budget concerns that this was not going to be famous. How do you want to adapt a visual novel so long with such a small budget? | I regret not dropping this. I didn't expect there'll be worse than Rewrite and Tsukihime when it comes to VN adaptations. Now I'm very unsure if I want to play the visual novel instead. I love Rea and Rusalka and they're the reason why I made this far... |

| The VN is a bit pretentious at times, but overall it was a blast to read. This adaptation was an embarrassment. It's utterly bad. It's clearly was made to appeal to the VN readers and not get any new fans, because I'm sure newcomers were lost af while watching this. There's still the ONAs left, but I doubt they can fix the mess this adaptation created. If the VN is more like an 8/10 for me, this adaptation is more like a 4/10, solely because of the fantastic music (though if I haven't read the VN, this series would've been more like a 2-3/10). Easily the worst visual novel adaptation I've ever seen. |

| What an absolute mess of a show. Can safely say I won't be watching the rest of the ONA when they are released. The show just made me feel like I was watching a group of kids with their toys, playing super heroes with over powered abilities that made no sense. and nothing is explained and stuff happens just because. The only thing I can say I enjoyed about this show was the soundtrack. I would happily buy that. 2/10. Would not recommend this to anyone. Put it in the trash where it belongs. |

I am not big fan of VN either, I only read 4 Visual Novel and dropped one of them I still had blast reading DI because of the ost and excellent characters |
