I've always skipped them myself because I marathon stuff most of the time so there is simply no point. But apparently some people do watch them and I was kinda surprised when I heard it.
What about you? Do you watch these or skip? Why?

Not if I marathon the show. If the show is airing, then I watch the previews just for sake of discussion.

Previews can be spoiler-ish.

I watch them if they're funny or if I'm watching weekly..

Never pointless and can spoil someting important.
Repeating previews of what already happened are fine though.

No, too many spoilers. I also don't like when characters from the anime break the forth wall in these previews and start peddling the show to the audience.

I always watch them and I become disappointed when an anime doesn't have any. Previews hype you up for the next episode.

It all depends on the ED?

If the ED is good I'll watch the previews, if not I'll skip it like always.

For airing stuff yes, don't see why not

When marathoning finished ones... ehhh less likely

Special exception, when you watch Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu you HAVE to skip all previews since they spoil literally everything for whatever reason

I watch them 100% of the time, whether the show is airing or completed, and whether I've seen the show before or not. They're part of the show's content, and if there are spoilers, then the writers/directors intended them to be there. (Much like episode titles in the vein of "Goku Dies!" and such.) If people value the idea of watching anime "as the creators intended" (as stated in many a "sub vs. dub" post), then previews are part of the parcel. And quite often, they aren't spoilery or terribly relevant at all -- they can be fun bits that build on the characters, explain something about the world, or provide reference humor to other shows.

Sidenote: rips that omit previews piss me off -- you can always choose to skip them if they're present, but you can't choose to watch them if they're absent.

Which means you sometimes miss out on actual content when shows put stuff between the ED and the previews.

Not when marathoning, no. Previews give me an idea of what to expect next week. There is no real point to it if I am just going to watch the next episode immediately. I do check for extra content between ED and previews though.

Nah, I almost never watch previews. Almost.

The only way I do is if I want to decide whether to continue a certain series or leave it off on the episode I just finished.

When I watch weekly airing anime, yes.
It's natural for a person to deny he's a failure as a human being. That's why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That's why so much animosity exists on the internet. Those who aren't able to find a more miserable person, turn to the internet and call other people losers, even though they've never met. Just to make themselves feel superior. isn't that pathetic? There's a sense of security that comes from speaking badly of someone else. But that isn't true salvation. — Tatsuhiro Satou

No. The first and last time I ever did ended up spoiling the following episode entirely. No matter if the show has finished airing, or if it is still airing -- and no matter my resentful anticipation to learn more about the next episode, I just move on.

I really don't see how others can so casually watch a preview, feeling they have nothing to lose.
