| very decent character development. hmm... the queen has a princess as heiress..and about the same age as Erin. I wonder if they will meet one day and become friends....And I wonder if the Queen is going to be assassinated by his suspicious-looking nephew (who is certainly trying to stir things up by some sibling rivalry...but I could be wrong....) We get to see how pitiful the Toudas are, essentially enslaved by the humans (eardrums get cut and get sent to war). However, it doesn't hide the fact that they are (as far as we know) ferocious creatures. But this may prove to be wrong in the future. And Soyon seems to know the truth behind the Touda (she looks very sad). I'm sure Erin will surpass her mother greatly and become a legendary figure that can bring humans and beasts together. After all, Soyon is no more than a beast doctor. And I really want to meet any more intelligent beasts (like dragons) in the future. just slightly predictable but still acceptable because the story itself should be pretty good (we're talking about famous awards-winning author here) Next episode on the mystical Mist Tribe! |

| yeah the story is developing pretty slowly but this is a 50 ep show so i bet they are going to be in depth with this. hopefully it will pick up soon |
| Well, that was just really boring. The cg toudas had really choppy movement, character design was a little wonky, and pace was just lethargic. Really, nothing of importance happened except for maybe the scene of the nephew and the grand duke's son. |
| Hmm, seems alright. Can't say I'm dying to see the next episode, but I'm enjoying myself. I think I've gotten over the bad taste that the idea of "lizard-riders" left in my mouth. Still looks weird, but I don't laugh when I see it. |

| Great developments and finally some solid background made this episode the best so far. A very good series that I'm very happy to not have dropped, since it has a nice atmosphere, interesting characters, a virtualy unlimited potential of developments and I'm pretty sure it will become better and better. Oh, and I don't mind the slow pacing, especially since events relevant to the plot actually happen in this anime, which is not the case in most animes nowadays. |

| There are a lot of things that you can expect from a 50 episode show. Although it's a little bit slow at some point. However, there are a lot of room for the characters to develop. I might watch this show at a very slow pace. It's not all that bad really. |

Looks like Erin may inherit the mist people's special powers at some point. I'm betting she will learn to communicate with the Toda or at the very least learn how to live with them without a whistle. |

| So far this anime gets a 6 point. The characters are ugly in my opinion and it's slow. But I will give it a chance. |

Oh well, maybe I will remember someday. >o< It reminds me of the FMA: Brotherhood opening theme song, only 'cause the band performing this anime's OP also had a song used in FMA. XD The series aren't anything alike, but I always recall the FMA OP when I hear this series' opening, heh. Maybe I'm just really patient - doubt it - but the slow pacing here isn't bothering me too much. I thought it was an okay episode, although the animation for the Touda was kind of... strange in some places. In any case, I have high hopes that this will be great as soon as the story really gets rolling... (if that ever happens?! I can't help but wonder if the pace will stay like this for the entire 50 episodes...) |
| I don´t get why people are getting upset over pacing - it is to be expected since this anime has 50 episodes. I don´t mind the slow pace - actually, I am enjoying it. Another pretty nice episode, I felt really sorry for Touda. |

| So they are controlled by their horns? Well that answers a few questions, however if that is the case, then why did that one Touda rampage? And furthermore, why would they be blamed for a rampaging Touda if it was the rider's fault it went out of control? |

| Okay, so we knew from the start that the Touda are used for war, but the realization that in the eyes of the majority they are just tools for it just sinked in now. It was a pretty hard to watch scene, it was even cruel, but Erin truly cares about them and I wonder what difference she will be able to make as she questions their present role. I can also feel a conspiracy brewing with the Queen's nephew, the way he tried to gain the favor of the younger, and easier to manipulate son of the Grand Duke, and his behavior are suspicious to say the least. |

She's such an innocent sweetheart who cares so much for the well beings of the Touda but is slowly seeing more and more of the reality of not only how the Toudas could potentially act dangerously but also of how the Toudas are used and harmed to be turned into tools of war for humans to take advantage of. Overall, the episode was decent again that definitely speaks some flags of tragedy for the future episodes. |
