This episode was actually kinda pleasant, at first anyway.

A spy on a cruise ship but I don't think it's a vacation. Kinda interesting to see the Japan's army's plans against their enemies at the time. Thought this episode was lighter than most of the others although the revelation about the Engima system (encryption) is interesting. Revenge is served~

"POSEIDON". Well that's pretty easy to guess, isn't it?
And he just "calling" for dolphins just like that. Does he learn it at the Agency? LOL
And now Osamu's become Emma's father, I guess? Also he's using that crossword puzzle as a bait, searching for the "right" person.
McCloud got noticed just because he forgot to change his ear. LOL

Quite an interesting ep, though the whole mystery part wasn't quite as decent as I was hoping for. But enjoyable, nonetheless!

Decent episode, Didn't expect the woman to turn herself in just like that.
Seems like our Japan spy adopted the kid and dog :o

Sadly I'll have to agree with this but based on the PV next episode might be a small arc.

A letdown from the last strong ep, but was a calm one than the last one.
The mystery was weak imo, but seeing how other countries were doing in the war was nice.
All in all the characters were quite pleasant especially the spy and the little girl and the dog ;p

A bit weaker than the previous episode, but still good and enjoyable. I find it impressive how the woman recognized the man just by his ear. In the end, she avenged her husband's death.

This episode was kinda sad for me though... He could've let her go but maybe that wasn't an option
Still I don't think he will adopt the child though

Good episode... not the bet but also not the worst.
It's kinda funny that McCloud get through a plastic surgeries but they recognized him by his ears. :D Revenge was served but what about Emma?

Better episode than the last couple of weeks, but how is he going to explain the little girl and dog to Yuuki. He doesn't strike me as the kind to take such "distractions" lightly at all. And why didn't the woman rip the photo in half to keep the half with her husband and get rid of the half with McCloud? The way the photo was taken meant that such a thing would have been easy to do.

Seeing how the mother avenged the death of her husband and see his reaction to what happend and then look at his daughter, make her wonder if all of that was worth. That was the best scene in the episode imo.

Pretty tame episode relatively. Good nonetheless.

Now the one thing I'm anxiously waiting for is one big coalescence of all the progress made in these unitary episode. The ending has to be something grand.

I like how everyone is almost nonchalant about the general vibe and stuff. Pretty different than the general spy mysteries.

But I do hope the series will move on from the episodic spy of the week style cause it's almost impossible to create an overarching plot that generates more intrigue.

Not as good as the previous episode, but was entertaining. Really like Amari and his calm and kind personality (plus his seiyuu). The woman killed McCloud in revenge for the death of her husband and she surrenders to the British at the end, leaving her child and dog with Amari.

The thing is, what would do Amari with the girl and the dog? I'm not sure Yuuki will let him having them as nothing, and they would be problematic for his job...

This was the episode who happened faster for me. It looks like if I was watching a 5 minutes of footage. Next episode will be the first of two parts. I wonder if that means we will have some of the plot of the last episode here.

Amari just got luck on his side as McCloud died before Royal Navy arrested the ship. If not, it sure was a dead end for him.

Well, I guess I'll give up on the idea of a potential plot forming and if one does come, I sure hope it's satisfying.

Anyways, I quite liked the episode. It was more simpler so I was able to follow along with what was going on a bit. I do wonder what's gonna become of the child and the dog though.

Just like Tazaki last week, Amari is also good with children.
Probably there isn't anything these spies can do or are unfamiliar with.

By the preview, I rlly can't guess is it next ep going to focus on Jitsui or Jirou Gamou.

Not sure if this ending can be considered happy. I mean sure, Cynthia got her revenge, but now she's going to be separated from her daughter, and Emma has now lost her mother. Well at least she gets to live happily with Amari and the dog for now.

Looks like next episode's story will last for more than just that episode, so this should be interesting.

That episode reminds me the movie "The Imitation Game" - Based on real events.
The "enigma", crossword puzzles and cyanide poisoning are highly visible references to Alan Turing.

I was also confused about the ending. It was just BAM "Surprise adoption"! I doubt he can keep the girl and dog because of his "job" so I'm curious how that would work out. Does anyone know anything about that or do we have to take a guess?

A seemingly laid-back but alright episode. The woman carried out her goal in avenging her husband's death. It's an open ending however for Emma, who is left up to the spy. Coming from the preview it looks like that other character (aside from the agents) is going to appear.

I thought something didn't feel right when she yelled at the dog n the beginning. And who just lets a stranger take their kid like that the first time they meet after the dog incident. Felt bad for her at the end, I imagine she turned herself in.

Its not random letters, you have to look at each word and stop at the next numbered square. I dont get the bold letters though. LIFE?

I knew that that dude was going to die after drinking that cup of... something.

And the mother listening all the conversation was soooo convenient. Like, sure, let's yell these secrets in the middle of a burial. It's not like someone can hear us.

Let's not forget the fact that you can recognize a person by their ears if you look everyday at a photo where those are barely visible.

And animals don't work like that. Where did you learn to call dolphins? And dogs don't answers at everybody callings, just to familiar voices.

Who does put a photo in his dog's collar anyway? And if you hated that dude that much, just cut the photo in half, keep the part of your husband and throw the other away.

And... how the fuck did she put the cyanide there?

Srly, this episode was below decent at writing. I was saying "bullshit!" every five seconds. No wonder why the score dropped that much.
In the other hand, the adoption thing was nice. That dude is surely the husbando of the week.

You just lost the game

Crazy.... taking care of adults, assassins and children are one thing, but inducing dolphins to surface at will is a different level of bad-assery entirely.

Episodes like this really get to me. The fact that a simple, happy family gets torn up because of something (or in this case, someone) like this, and is forever changed. The father is sleeping beneath 6 feet of dirt, the mother will be arrested, imprisoned or executed, and the poor child who knows nothing will never see her true parents ever again for the rest of her life, and will probably never know what happened to them either, just that her mom "disappeared" mysteriously overnight. How the heck will Amari even convince her to follow him from then on without forcing/hypnotizing/brainwashing her, I'm really curious to know.

I sure hope that sometime later in this series we'll get to revisit the little girl to see what happened to her afterwards, though unless she becomes a spy apprentice, that's probably unlikely.

So he's going to take care of her daughter. How is that going to work. She seems old enough to actually complain and remember... Not a easy transition seeing how sudden everything was. And how is he going to take care of her as a spy? Is he going to find someone else to? Is he going to take her back to japan?
Regardless, something like this would be dangerous to a spy.

What happened to the mother? Are they going to kill her? Arrest her?

This episode was relaxing, calm...and honestly, sad at the same time.

The mother had a happy life until her husband was killed because of McCloud's plans. Who can really blame her for her on him with a cyanide-filled wine...

Amari's a pretty cool guy. He's nice with kids and he OP enough to summon dolphins with a high-pitched whistle. Although he'll have to explain to little Emma about the fate of her mother one day though. D=

A pretty good episode overall, but not the best episode this show has offered so far.

Is Amari now a papa? I didn't know it was him until much later. He and Hatano both have wide flat foreheads but ofc Hatano's shorter.

I enjoyed the beginning but felt sad towards the end. Will Emma's mom be apprehended or will she be executed for what she did? Her husband did kind of resemble Amari a little.

While an interesting episode, I still don't like how they casually reveal potentially infringing information to the "enemy" spies. What use do you have as a spy to reveal your own identity, i.e. that you're a spy?

I know some people might not like the calmer mood/atmosphere in the episodes 6+7. But that's just what I loved. Up to episode 5 I thought the episodic setup started to get a little bit boring cause I did not like the episodic stories that much.

But with episodes 6+7 I'm happy again. (Such calmer mood/atmosphere in episodic anime was already what I loved at Natumse Yuujinchou which I scored pretty high despite usually preferring non-episodic anime.)

I also liked the preview at the end with the chess (since I know a bit about chess and it seems this is going to be a 2-episode story). Looking forward to the next episodes.
