Lol using Reoko with her ED theme song during that bloody scene...how fitting.

Huh, I thought the finale felt a bit rushed. I mean, the battles are neat and all but it just seems like they tried to fit a lot into the episode. Azuma's mother continuously impresses me with her bravery though. Hmm continuation..split cour/sequel announced.

Actually, I would say this whole anime is rushed. Such a rare case where it has not enough screentime as a 12 episodes anime, but would be barely watchable if it were a 24-25 one.
The battles were definitely the strong point of the finale, but I like how they concluded Reoko's (and her limbs) story. The show itself was enough to pick my interest on a possible 2nd season, as it seems Azuma's sister will be on spotlight.

That was confusing, he didnt want Treasure Island to be on Earth but it ends up...under the sea? Or is it in space.

Otherwise can't wait to see what happens next. I dont understand the claim that A-chans sister will be the spotlight when Reoka sama still needs to be saved, and all those random groups still have their plots need to be resolve since all are still after oubu.

He didn't want Takarajima falling like a meteor on Earth, as it would decimate the region (or the world), he saved the day, actually, but Reoko still needs to be saved also.

all those random groups still have their plots need to be resolve since all are still after oubu.

Well, most of them were after Oubu because it was the only heart available, now everyone got hearts on "Takarajima's Black Friday", so they won't need to chase after Oubu again (or I missed the entire plot)

Well, it did end up in the ocean, but at least it didn't crash onto Earth like a giant comet.

I think she's just showing her excitement at finally getting screen time.

Finally....After so many episodes of nonsensical plot that makes no sense, and story that can't even understand itself....the twin sister makes her debut.

And she is far more amazing than I could have hoped. I look forward to her story, and the next season.

Lastly, why in the world are people complimenting Azuma's mom so much? She's about the epitome of a jerk. She has "good intentions", but really? "Mankind would have twisted their use of it". Well, people twist everything. And it's not the Buranki are "innocent" either. Anything with a sentient will is at danger of doing horrible things. That's what makes you an individual.

Even outside that decision that screwed over so many people's lives. Her wonderful way of "saving" Reoko only turned her into a worse monster than would likely have happened if she didn't destroy the heart.

And, hey, what "great mother" doesn't see her daughter for ten years and fails to ask anything about her when her son appears on the island? But her son was no better, so I guess that's to be expected. I can't wait for her to start wreaking havoc. Her husband wasn't a topic of conversation either. For all she knew they could both be dead, but she doesn't speak a word of them.

She's nothing but a pretentious overpowered witch that thinks she "knows what's best" for everyone.

Meanwhile, Reoko, while definitely going off-kilter, risks her memories, among other things, to keep the world from going into complete chaos, cleaning up after Migawa's mess.

Anyway, finally. Just...finally. I made it. After so much...I made it. But, I still must continue to wait ;_;

Please season 2 come soon...

I don't get it.

This just feels like a tease for a POSSIBLE 2nd half. It's a shame that this show had an ending that was this inconclusive and nonsensical, it was doing so good. Oh well, maybe next time.

Probably going to drop the score to a 6, but a bit undecided on that front.

Sound section was great...
Just some characters were really..REALLY annoying (Russian/American Buranki users)

That backstory about Reoko kinda sad. I'm starting to feeling about her comrades concern and intention which is proven to be real thing. :( Damn you, Migiwa. You locked in Reoko for eight years, and then "casually" run away from earth even when you're pregnant?!

It's funny to see this Ichito Kotetsu person "have" to slip first before realize all that blood over the room despite he saw the prime minister's face beforehand.

Great mid-finale with some good "burning hero" action, I was mostly happy to get to finally watch the past of Reoko & Co. And like everyone probably presumed, she was friend with Migiwa who gave her the roughest time thanks to her own egoistical way of deciding things for others (be it the earthlings or her "close" friend). Seriously, after keeping Reoko 8years locked in a tiny cell , she just waves a goodbye and warns her casually that she will have to protect the Earth alone?! (exactly like she casually welcomed her son despite being the cause of his troubles and not being interested in her family whereabouts)
The final appearance of the sister was funny.
5/5

The show was entertaining enough to not notice the CGI permanently, some nice designs, a good premise developed into a pretty classical story with only a few boring moments.
7/10. (if it goes on like this),
6 if the second half proves the series is vain,
8 if it was in fact a good buildup toward the conclusion.

Now that the mastermind behind the first half and his goal were revealed, I hope the second story will be able to justify the fear of the hero's mother while explaining the final objective of Kaoruko. (+ obviously some super scenes where the children will act together with Banryû's team, because she can't stay in a coma like that -_-)

I fantastic anime.Great cgi. A very interesting story with a lot of likable characters, also some unlikable ones but you are probably supposed to hate them. I love how this anime is able to pull off the conflict in akame ga killway better. Azuma's group vs reoko's group is very interesting because you really get the feeling that Reoko isnt really a villain. Akame ga kill tried something similar and failed miserably. I really connected with Reoko and her group in this anime. I cant wait for the second season which was recently announced. I really hope that since its a 5th anniversary anime that we will get the sequel this year, preferrably in the summer. A fantastic anime that i gave a well deserved 9

That was more like "foreshadowing of a debut"

I'm hoping for Kaoruko being the main character. So very dearly. Because she seems really really interesting. Plus, they basically threw her under the rug for 11 episodes, lifting up the rug just a tad a couple times throughout the entire thing...right after they hyped her up a lot.

A beautiful mess sums up this series

The CGI and art direction really were the strong points of the series and I thing it genuinely had some good idea's

however

The series was dragged down by some abysmal writing, awful characterisations and a utter mess of a story. Did we really need this many bad guys? On that topic the bad guys were over the top & overpowered.

Now sure I can be arsed with a second season as I didn't fully understand what went on in the first.

Hmm....a little bit dissapointed right there when i saw Kaoruko with American bubuki user's leader. Spin off or sequel ? i hope it's a sequel. if it's spin off then there will be another season ? overall this episode was okay too me. pretty good too. action still the same as usual, looked really good with the CGI. how they put the OP and ED song was pretty good too. the pace didn't really bother me that much, BUT! when i saw Kaoruko stand besides america bubuki user's leader, that was when i got dissapointed. but still she looks cool.

The ending tbh was confused me a little. and i'm curious what will happen to the sequel (i hope it's a sequel).

i enjoy this anime 8/10

The ending was so confusing!!!

While the story felt a bit rushed in this final episode. I enjoyed the series as a whole.

This and Etotama really give me hope in the quality the cgi anime cane have in the future. Ajin as well to a lesser extant, having the frame rate really noticeable. but Bubuki does a great job have having smooth animation.

The visual style was stunning in a lot of places, and I enjoyed the vibrancy of the colours and compositions they used.

A lot of plot holes in a rather messy of an ending, but overall a great show with great art and sound, with good voice acting.

It's a long wait until season 2.

geez I was so upset with how Migiwa selfishly forced immortality (for as long as Entei lives) onto Reoko, and brushes it off with "for the sake of the world" . Such grand visionary goals are so frustrating to understand especially when that goal requires the cooperation of others knowing what they have to go through. Seriously? After forcing immortality onto Reoko, YOU LOCK HER UP FOR EIGHT YEARS?! What an absolutely horrid way to spend your first few years as an immortal. Migiwa did make a point on manipulating Buranki though, I wouldn't want to imagine the possible future she had spoken about. The issue is that Migiwa didn't ask for everyone's consent to what she did.

I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel

it was kinda cute how Azuma wallslammed Reoko between him and the Island.

i think i figured out why Entei is the only Buranki able to move on Earth during all this years, its because Migiwa already destroyed Entei's heart and the heart replacement of Entei is none other than Reoko a human and not those mechanical orbs of heart

Reoko and the sister was the best thing in it. Azuma was a pain, it was hard to handle him in all those episodes, so I am glad it's over, for me the story should start right now, with the sister as the MC, but I won't be watching the second season, coz I can't handle this thing anymore.

Why, oh why, did they leave the Migiwa and Reoko flashback until the last episode? It actually explained a few things. Should have been shown earlier on in the series, as there would have been more of a connection to the story. The flashback finally got me interested in the show.

Why Reoko isn't the main protagonist? Anyway... The story doesn't make any sense.

5/10... I don't get it. Amazing potential, the so-called villains had a better understanding of things than the so-called heroes. They even tried to protect things 'till the very end, but for some plot-ish reason, they ended up f*ed.
