| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was a miracle~ Just watched this at the theater and it was glorious. They actually showed all 3 episodes. It was everything I remembered Aria to be and more. Never thought that a theater full of grown men would be trying to hold back their tears at the end. | I just watched it. Goddamn that took me back. When Undine started playing I started choking up I missed this show so much. The scene where Alice/Akira/Athena meet was so beautiful. God ARIA is just as good as I remember it. Can't wait for the next episode many months from now ;_____; |

| Amazing stuff, 10/10. As a location hunter, they included the 4th bridge over the Grand Canal. The rail station is also a new background scenery that they used. Insta-10/10. |

| Maybe none of you realized... ALL the background in the ED is actually reused from all previous shows ( Animation, Natural, Origination ) got rendered in 1080p, not upscaled from the DVD. |

BD for the first box set, season one dropped 4 days ago on Christmas Eve, which includes episode 1 out of 3 of the new Avvenire. Still going to be a long as wait for the west to get anything in English though :( But going by Rightstuf's track record, they'll likely release them eventually at an appropriate expensive ass price-point (given the Japanese releases go over $200 per box...FML). Edit: Just watched the first episode. And I was full of nostalgia tears. As short as it was (only a half episode; 16 minutes), I still loved it. I only wish there was a little less flashbacks, and more of the present (no pun intended), as well as making it longer, a full episode per episode instead of half. |

| Oh wow, just hearing the OST alone was enough to plaster a smile on my face from beginning to end. This was so beautiful, I love the use of reflecting on the past to adapt the rest of the chapters not to mention the fact how much the art has improved! Makes me want to watch the series all over again, but I think I'll wait until each OVA has been released before I do so. |
| I just watched this episode twice. The 2nd time with the voice actress commentary from Minagawa Junko, Ohara Sayaka, and Hazuki Erino. Their conversation about missing the world of Aria was beautiful. One of them said she was on the train listening to music when Undine came on through shuffle, and suddenly she was crying on the train. I'm in tears, myself. That's all. See you guys in 3 months for the next one. |
| Even the subs brought back memories. I noticed that the subbers really tried to put out quality to match this ep. 10/10 even if it was just a flashback |
| AMAZING EPISODE!!! I'm totally surprised Alice let her hair grow, like Alicia's. Flashback was nice. Akira was right, you have to appreciate the time you have together because moments like the one where she threw the present rarely occur. As Primas their time is very time consuming. Alicia's smile at the end pretty much summed up just how happy she was to see the Akira and Athena. If only this show could run 100+ episodes, it's the perfect relaxing show. |

| I feel like crying. My favourite anime of all time. It made such an impact in my life and my view on life itself. To be able to experience it all over again... I dunno how can I explain. ARIA is the best thing happened to me as an anime fan. |

| That's some superb animation this time around. I'm a bit disappointed that these first two episodes are just adaptations of manga chapters not previously adapted, but I simply can't wait for the original third episode. It's just too bad that we'll have to wait a months to see it. |
| The world of Aria is so beautiful, every time I watch an episode of Aria it always takes me away to this whole new world. I really wish more anime like Aria gets made. This series is seriously a masterpiece in its own right. LOVED the first episode. |

| So it's Alicia-san birthday, Akira being a tsundere but truly a great friend, that gift throw though, Aqua really is the planet of miracles. Akari really rockin on that long hair, Ai became a single, Aria still a clever cat making friends with a bird lmao. The animation really leveled up a bit, the OST & the Animation OP is still there, such nostalgia to the ears, really loved the ED especially the backgrounds display just gave me nostalgia of the past events happened during the whole series. |

| IT'S BACKKKK FINALLY. The wait for the subs was long, but definitely worth it! I missed this show so much and just the OP itself gave me nostalgia tears and evoked so many emotions and memories back from when I was watching Aria. Finally getting to see more of my favourite series of all time was great. The visuals improved so much and the new ED is pretty good. Loved the scene where Alicia, Akira and Athena met along with the singing, gave me goosebumps~ And hearing Akari's voice in so long is so pleasant to hear. Now waiting for eps 2 and 3~ the wait continues. |
| After all the wait, we finally get the first episode of Avvenire. And dare I say it was worth the w8. On another note, I still can't believe they used the opening from the Animation, the nostalgia hits me like a b-. Then Athena sang Baracolle, just when I expected no line from her (r.i.p. Tomoko Kawakami). |
| Listened to Undine after such a long time. Listened to Baracolle after a long time. And last but not least, we listened to my all time favorite, Mangetsu no Dolce. Pretty much went on a feels trip from the get-go. I think this is a nice way to go into the new year haha |

| It's always nice to hear about sequels and continuations to your favorite anime. Despite this, you may get that nagging feeling in your mind, that small voice that asks, "What if it doesn't live up to expectations? Will it retain the spirit of the original?" I've seen these thoughts of uncertainty surrounding upcoming sequels such as Steins;Gate 0, and even more feelings of disappointment directed toward the new Berserk adaptation. When I first heard about the Avvenire, I realized it'd be one of those very rare moments when I knew with absolute certainty that I wouldn't be disappointed with an upcoming continuation, even years after the previous entry was released. I had no misgivings about its merits, no concerns about its craftsmanship. It won't top the Natural or the Origination, but it will be the same ol' Aria as before. I think the only other time I've had this feeling was when Mushishi Zoku Shou was announced. I haven't watched this episode yet (saving it for just before the new year begins), but I have full confidence in the staff and their love for this series that they will recapture the atmosphere that Aria fans are so familiar with. |

| Kind of a letdown. Really derpy animation and most of the episode takes place before the end of Origination... Also it was so short and Akari took like 5 minutes introducing us the setting again like we've never watched Aria before. It's not like this is a full season or even full length episodes. Guess my hype level was too high for an OVA but Arietta was incredible and I was hoping this could be on that level. |
| Regretfully, inferior animation was to be expected. Hal Film Maker was really dedicated to Aria and they still had a few slip ups. |

| Even in 2015 Aria still is levels beyond most anime... I must admit I nearly cried watching this because Aria really did save my life during my depression phase. I have nothing negative to say, Aria is flawless. |

| Always wondered why this chapter wasn't adapted from the manga. Was soo damn good, I'm hoping they adapt the rest of the chapters they skipped. Art was beautiful and hearing the old soundtrack was amazing. President Aria sounds still hurt my ears, wish he kept quiet. Those 16 minutes past by like seconds, I get the feeling I should rewatch the entire series again. Overall loved it, can't wait for the next episode. 10/10 |

| I haven't posted on these forums for years now but this episode warrants it. that was sublime. absolutely fantastic. such a shame its only 15 minutes. if i had watched this last night id dare say it would have been the best thing i saw in the entirety of last year. This episode really put some of the earlier episodes into perspective about how they priimas couldn't see each other often and how life never truly stays the same. its was actually quite sad to think about. hearing Athena sing was also hauntingly beautiful considering the circumstances. even though i watched aria only a few years ago, this was non stop nostalgia. cant wait for the next 2 episodes. Also hope they eventually release the blurays in the west, if one of the comments above mine is true, the ED had upscaled scenes from the original series, and it looked great. |
