| I always consider MAL user not trustworthy by default, since half of them appear to be trolls to me. Especially those with relatively new accounts. |

| It's when our affinity is under 50%. Critics are more trustable than average MAL user that appears in forums. When I see a profile with negative affinity and Mean Score under 4.00, I can feel a negative atmosphere towards those MAL users. I don't trust almost anyone in real life. So, how will I trust an internet surfer? |

| I'm always suspicious of this strange, inexplicable phenomenon of users that come to MAL daily only to proselytize their ideologies, but haven't actually watched anime or read manga in years. I'm sure there are better places to recruit than on MAL's CE. I pity them, because I imagine a board lizard meeting held by /pol/ dwellers to determine where to go and these users dreamt of getting assigned some place meaningful, but they end up here. |

It depends how long you know MAL user for. If its a short period time then yes and if its few years including you seen the person (what they look like) then i suppose a bit of trust can be put into. | 1: If I recognize a user as someone I always see in popular threads/controversial threads because they spend making 95% of their time on here fighting to the death to defend their love for lolis or parent-child/guardian-child/creepy age gap relationships even in situations where NO ONE is talking about lolis, that is a major sign for me to not interact with them. Like it's one thing to like those things even if I don't like them, whatever I'm not gonna go after every person that has some loli shrine on their profile.
