| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was neat. Art style looks stylish and the character chemistry so far in this episode had me entertained. The comedy looks refreshing along with the main characters. Honestly, I like this so far. It's quite entertaining with the stylish comedy and humorous gags. Might have to re-read the manga again but I think this show has an awesome start.  |

| Damn, they nailed the art-style of the manga perfectly. The animation's a bit limited, but the artwork is more important for an anime like this. And Ogata Megumi is perfect as Hanako! Kinda hard not to hear Hanako as Komaeda though, lol. |

| They captured the manga's artstyle really well, and the colors are nice too. My only complain would be that the fight against the mermaid was longer in the manga than it was here, if i'm not mistaken. The subtle spoilers in the opening tho,,, there was a scene they made based on one of the manga illustrations and god the way they animated it made me even more sure of a theory of mine that i was hoping wasn't true, ugh. The ending was great too, i love the song. Can't wait to see the other characters animated. |

| It was obvious that there wouldn't be a lot of animation seeing the pvs but damn there really is not a lot of animation lol Also I want to stomp Hanako so badly idk why but everytime he talks I feel like a thousand year old shota is whispering into my ears and I don't like it |

| First of all the art style was freaking amazing, really loved it. Pretty decent start, the comedy was okay. The last part was really good thou. Both of the main characters seems interesting and they look cute. Looking forward to more. |

| The art is just so charming. The story and atmosphere flashes me back to when I played Misao in middle school. This is the best premiere so far this season |

| That felt quite lackluster for a first episode. Like, I'm not hooked, at all. I wonder if this is going to turn into an episodic anime where they deal with wishes from random students every week. If that's the case then I'm not interested. Nice art though. Guess I'll give it two more episodes. |

| I made a review on the manga for it, and I gave the manga a 5. I loved the art in the manga, but disliked the actual content and characters themselves for the most part. And I can transfer those opinions onto here. However, I will be fair and say that the art looks really great with the colors and lighting, and the sound design added a lot to its atmosphere. The voice actors were well casted too and performed well. However, I just did not like the content here either. Unlike the art, the characters did not charm me and the actual comedy/content was below-average. |
| I love the aesthetics in this one and story also seems pretty good. I thought yashiro was annoying at first but I liked how she admitted she was wrong for using minamoto senpai. I really have high hopes from this one! |

| I'm not familliar with the source material, but based on the first episode this show seems quite charming! I love stuff like this with supernatural mixed in with daily life. The art style is also really unique and pretty, but I knew that much from the PV's. The opening was also an unexpected banger! |

| Very excited. Another Akarin role is always welcome, and I've seen/heard many good things about the manga. The animation and production was vivid, distinctive and charming as well. Might be among my seasonal faves. |

| The hype is real! I've been looking forward to this since it's adaption was first announced and it didn't disappoint! This anime has everything; comedy, romance, action and KAWAII SUPERNATURAL! The art is beautiful and unique too which really makes it stand out and the characters... i love them so much already! Shout out to Megumi Ougata, Hanako's VA, too because i NEVER would have guessed that he was voiced by a woman! |

| This is probably my favorite episode so far for this season. There is something about the way Hanako talks that I find soothing & funny at the same time. Art style is beautiful. |

| i can see why this may not be a lot of people's cup of tea, in terms of the character voices (they are very VERY cute...) and animation, but thankfully it didn't bother me much--in fact i thought it was pretty pleasing to the eye. the comedy was a little cheesy, but there has to be a reason people love this story so much, right? here's to hoping! |
