 Production company ABC Animation opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Wakame Konbu's Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious) manga on Tuesday, revealing the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo. The anime series is scheduled to air on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and its 24 affiliated channels on the ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block in July 2022.Voice actresses Saori Hayami (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) and Rie Takahashi (Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu) are starring as Yuuri and Lilith, respectively. Monthly Gangan Joker began serializing the title in January 2020. Square Enix published the fifth volume on February 22. Yen Press licensed the manga in English last January and shipped the second volume on January 25. The third volume is planned for a June 28 release. Synopsis The beautiful maid Lilith has recently been hired to care for the whims of her employer's son, Yuuri. However, Yurri's overzealous skepticism of her every action keeps him on edge as he suspects devious mischief being plotted behind his back. Despite his paranoia, Lilith grows fond of Yuuri and often teases him as a way to further their bonding. | This is good news actually, this and Shikimori-san already have anime adaptations, and how best to teach people how garbage the manga of both of these are, than with a mainstream anime format. Bring more superficial manga into anime Japan, so people can see how they don't work. |

| That’s quick! Shinigami Bocchan Kuro Maid obviously comes to mind. I fairly enjoyed that, and this seems like it should make for a good watch too. Didn’t expect to see Hayami-san to be playing a MC but the real take-away of the show for me is Takahashi-san playing such a role! Can’t wait. |

| I thought it might be cute. A maid bonding with a kid who is dealing with stuff. She helps him and he opens up....then I saw that it's a romantic comedy and that scares me a bit since the ML is a child. |
