Kodansha Box's official website has announced that Kyouhei Koyama's novel "Eiyuu" Kaitai ("Heroes" Dismissed) will get an anime adaptation by studio Zexcs. Koyama will also be involved with the production.

The novel won the 25th BOX-AiR Newcomer Award in 2014.

Synopsis
The story centers on a boy named Uro Yamada, and a 17-year-old girl named Karon. Both work as part of the "Hero Retirement and Return to Everyday Life Assistance Agency," which takes heroes from another world back to Earth and helps them reintegrate into everyday life. Karon, a former hero herself, works under Uro as they tackle cases and also lives with him, with Uro constantly failing to rein in Karon's hero-like behavior even as he tries to ingrain the behavior of common people into her. As I wrote above, pretty sure it will be released in march 2017, and that it will be an OVA by studio Zexcs. I mean all the previous titles adapted in anime from BOX Air followed an identical pattern.

Well, probably. But exceptions gives always, but let's see first...^_^

And please don't be aired at 2017!

Hmm... I fear it'll sometime at 2017 aired, because it takes always so a half or 3/4 year until it aired will after a/the annoncement - And we enter soon the 2nd half of 2016, where then...xD

This is the same case as kurage no shokudou, mitsuwano and Arve Rezzle: Kikaijikake no Yousei-tachi . This is a story featured in the digitalized magazine Koudansha Box Air, and was elected to get an anime.
all others were OVA, so that will probably be the case as well for Eiyuu Kaitai.

Eiyuu kaitai is still being published so the final length is unknown, but I doubt there will be enough content for a series by the time anime will be made, so yep, OVA.

And most probably produced by Starchild Records/ made by studio Zexcs as well.
Also, judging by the previous cases, expect it to be released in march 2017.

Sure hope its a decent one.

I like the idea of this a lot. Since I am tired of the "normal guy gets to be a hero in a fantasy world/video game" trope. I hope its a full length anime tho,not only an OVA. (I heard the LN is pretty short)

Sounds a lot like http://myanimelist.net/manga/56057/γ. But γ is better, because it's yuri.

Please let this anime be a decent romance-comedy. Please, please, please.....

Premise is actually pretty fun. Definitely will check this one out.

Sounds interesting. I'm getting Hataraku Maou-sama and Yuushibu vibes from the heroes concept. I have a strange feeling it'll be similar to those two anime.

Heroes. Heroes everwhere...

How can you possibly figure that out based on just a synopsis?

>takes heroes from another world back to Earth and helps them reintegrate into everyday life
doesnt sound like something funny for me
+ i have a bad history with "heroes" anime
