Add - More Log Horizon 2nd Season Honestly this show is bugging me. It's setting itself up to be a 100 or 200 episode series with all the plot points it keeps introducing (and leaving completely open). However I doubt this will get more than 1 season which kind of kills my excitement in keeping up with it. One prime example of this: A new, important character is introduced in the teaser opening of the second season. You don't see this character again for like 15 episodes, and then technically this character never even meets up with the rest of the characters or has any impact on the world. Similarly, the character Roe 2 only gets enough screen time and explanation to leave questions instead of answers. Ongoing stories are great. In fact I love long shows. But this show has no end in sight and it ended season 2 at episode 50. Oh, another thing that bugs me is the lack of exploring plot lines. For instance, the plotline introduced at the end of the 1st season is basically thrown out. Also, the "consequence" for dying is more or less never addressed or has any impact.

Add - More Fairy Tail (2014) Normally, I hate on this show a little because the plot development is all over the place, and character strength development is non-existent and boils down to "I'm stronger for no reason except for this secret ability that I've never shown before and by the way, I'll become invincible if it means standing up for my guild!" But actually, this season had good arcs (The demon arc, and fairy tail zero). I especially liked fairy tail zero, which shows the history of the guild. Probably the best story telling the show has ever had IMO. This show ended with a huge cliff hanger and I'm a little upset that the last episode looked like a regular episode.

It's just your perfect shounen "boy gets powers, boy slowly learns how to use them." I think the best part of this show is that there are no minor enemies (I guess there were some mobs involved with one fight, but they weren't signiifcant). Every person that is defeated is significant.

Add - More Suzuka This was a show I started in the summer after highschool. it really hit home as the MC had many of the thoughts and feelings that I had had. I think I initially dropped it because of the inclusion of other love interests.....so that was 10 years ago. And now in 2015, I finally am getting around to watching this. I didn't expect to get so hooked to a drama, but gosh this did it to me. It's refreshing reading a drama written by a male from a male's point of view. Many of the thoughts that the main character had made total sense. Even his participation in sports being totally for the sake of the girl he likes sounds like something I would have done. The show doesn't make "love" easy. It is full of kids who don't know how to be in relationships, handle their feelings well, or express themselves. Worst offender by far is SUZUKA. She is a complete mess. But even so, I "get" her. Trauma can do that to people, and people will handle it differently. I found myself cheering for the main character, wishing that he would go for certain girls or do certain things, or leave certain girls alone. I was definitely invested. Overall I recommend this story as a semi realistic take on immaturity and relationships. I wonder what else is out there that can make me feel the way that I felt while watching this. Also, there seems to be a supernatural element. But really, this show does have appeal, it is just very different from inital D. This show is definitely Seinen, where Initial D is Shounen. This show focuses on hardware and mechanical components of a car where initial D mostly focuses on technique and doesn't really focus on hardware/mech until halfway through, and it STILL is technique heavy. And the last point I'll make is, the supernatural element isn't really there. It's more about driver superstition and emotional attachment to the machines. The show never gives you a solid reason to believe there is anything supernatural occuring. Overall, the show is fine. Good for what it is.

I was expecting great things from it. One thing I will note is I initially was repulsed by this show because I came from playing the games and expected a similar feel. This show is NOTHING like game persona 3. Go in expecting something else and you will feel much better. Slight spoilers: Some major issues: -The only crossover character is useless. -The story doesn't get explained coherently. -The "Whale" or "Whale's feather" is basically never explained. -The 4 characters who entered some sort of transcendent form of existence....yeah that never really made much sense. -They really failed to make the marebito's (bad group) have a goal that made sense even at a shallow level. The show is episodic, which is already a huge turn off, but it's also "nonsensical supernatural comedy". Basically they just make up random supernatural scenarios and you get to watch the characters go through them. What's worse is almost none of the characters have any likable qualities. After a while the show and characters grows on you...so I did miss them a little bit when the show ended. It's kind of like the terrible decor at your parents place. You don't like it, but you are so used to seeing it that it's grown to be comforting. Anyways, glad to finally get this show off my life. About 40% of the show has to do with supernatural stuff that isn't consistent with the rest of the show (and they even try to undo like 30% of the supernatural aspect and pretend that it was normal, which totally is confusing.) This is like DragonBallZ much more than it is like soccer. Except in DragonBallZ, you could at least see a connection with how strong a character got, and their innate power and training and such. In this show every character gets random super-powered abilities through little to no explanation except "heart". Almost every match goes like this: "Yay we just overcame the old opponents by unlocking these awesome new techniques within ourselves. Oh no! The new opponents are so strong, none of our techniques work! Let's get owned for the first 80% of the match, and then come back at the end with NEW super powered techniques and beat them by 1 point." Ok, I could flame about this forever. I'll just finish with this: Storyline: D Main Character: B Character Development: C+/B- Character strength development: F Oh, and all the coaches in the entire show do exactly nothing. Add - More Air I just watched the show after somebody recommended it to me like 5 years ago. Animation and music are fine as most people say. But yeah, I can't say I liked the show. It's a jumble of little girls with psychological issues (or dealing with relatives with psycho issues) that are colored over as being somehow magical. IMO every female character in the present-day world is ANNOYING (and overly childish) and that is the biggest reason why I can't recommend this show. (SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON) If I had to rank the girls in order of most annoying to least. 1. Misuzu (She is probably the main reason I don't like this show). 2. Split personality girl with short hair and bow on her wrist. 3. Emo girl who speaks annoyingly softly with almost no personality. 4. Split personality girl's older sister 5. Misuzu's mom (too hopeless and immature, but not totally unlikeable) To be fair, likeable characters: The main, 3 mains from the historical flashback, Potato, Michiru (pigtailed long red head tiny girl). (I apologize, I've watched TOO much anime, and I forget names very easily at this point.) The story would have been much better if it either focused on the magical aspect or the psychological aspect in my opinion. Having both together just makes it "confusing" and hard to watch. This is probably why I found the flashback arc to be the best part of the series. Just magic and no psycho-crap. The flashback is the only part of the show to get me even a little emotional. Additionally, the characters in the past weren't annoying, crazy, and immature like the majority of the characters in the present. An additional annoyance is the crow and "magification" of the main male character. They basically killed him off without killing him off and for no apparent reason reincarnated him into this crow...who was apparently there the whole time. I get the crow was both him and his ancestor...but still. Overall. It's a story of annoying girls going through psychological issues peppered with magical causes/influence. The creators try to make you get emotional over these girls' circumstances, but man did I find it hard to care about these girls. Any of these girls. My best guess is this was written by somebody who had to cope with several friends or family members having mental health issues. Downloaded Episodes: 13
