Twelve years ago, a colossal demon fox terrorized the world. During the monster's attack on the Hidden Leaf Village, the Hokage—the village's leader and most powerful ninja—sacrifices himself to seal the beast inside a newborn, relieving civilization from destruction while dooming the baby to a lonely life.

Now, after years of being shunned and bullied, Naruto Uzumaki pesters the village with elaborate pranks and vandalism. Despite these antics, he works hard to achieve his dream: to become the Hokage and earn the acknowledgement of those who have mistreated him for his entire life. Naruto joins Team 7, a ninja squad made up of two of his peers—prodigy Sasuke Uchiha and clever Sakura Haruno.

Under the aloof Kakashi Hatake's leadership, Team 7 takes on a series of difficult missions, forcing its members to grow in strength and comradery despite their many differences. Naruto strives to stand out in his rivalry with Sasuke and earn the romantic affection of Sakura. But as the trio brush against danger and death, their tragic pasts threaten to tear them apart.

47 - Naruto, an anime that has stood the test of time. I was first introduced to Naruto on Toonami, and if you ever had the pleasure in watching Toonami growing up then you’ll understand how important it was to watch every night.

Naruto quickly became my favourite show, growing up watching Dragonball Z and then moving straight on to Ninja’s? How cool are Ninja’s! Anyways, Naruto follows a young Naruto Uzumaki whose dream is to one day became Hokage, the leader of the Hidden Lead Village. Throughout the anime you meet more and more Ninja’s who all have different goals and objectives in life and ... you start to build connections to each and every one of them, for me it was Itachi. -Side note: if you are reading this review and have not seen the anime then take note that yes, you are correct, no one likes Sakura.

Without spoiling too much, Naruto quickly becomes an enjoyable watch, whether that be chasing cats while wearing cat ears, trying to face reveal Kakashi Sensei, or watching Rock Lee take off his training weights. You find enjoyment in all the story arcs and the filler episodes that it feels like you’re a kid watching Sunday cartoons again just because you can.

Somewhere after you hear Naruto talk about himself for the 20th you realise that his catchphrase “Believe it!” you actual believe that the there is a deeper meaning to the story of Naruto Uzumaki and why his story is being told. Unfortunately, it takes some time to be told which is where Shippuden kicks in.

To conclude, it’s a great watch. Does take some time but it’s still great. Gets even better in Shippuden so keep up the watch! Good luck Ninja!

Mixed Feelings

Basically, it's okay if you're casual and not investing too much expectation into it, otherwise you may be let down.

It's good in a sense of "i can rewatch this sometime and not go through excruciating pain, totally!" but it definitely feels more easier to talk about the less than ideal things to do with the anime. This includes the quality drop overtime, the censorship of the manga (from what i've seen take this with a grain of salt), the character and character building, the seemingly "long" feeling of the episodes in a majority of them, etc. Only positive things i can go off from the ... top of my head is the character design, Rock Lee existing, and the chuunin exams being straight hands.... While unique and a product of its time, it;s like eating spaghetti for three weeks in a row. Iconic and loved by many, but not someones IMMEDIATE go-to!

Though I was not one of the people that grew up watching this anime, I was by some people who were. Obviously, I'm not going to sit here and drone on about every detail, but despite the critiques I and many have, you can't deny that it didn't have an impact on the animanga scene as a whole. Which, in a way, makes it feel like a letdown if youre going in expecting the best, hands down. Hopefully, Shippuden will bear the fruits of my labor (watching this through its entirety)!!

TLDR; Though iconic, it does have its qualms throughout. Dont expect too too much!

Uh what a bad anime.

STORY
Classic zero to hero story. But it's a very lazy story and full of bullshit.
The power balance of the characters is ridiculous. Very weak characters can suddenly get power-ups and be victorious. The relationship between Sasuke and Naruto makes me to my stomach. It seems so fake that people who hate each other so much have weird love.

ART
The visuals are very bad as they have to shoot so many episodes. There is almost no fighting animation. Have silly word duels.

SOUND
... Naruto's voice is incredibly annoying. Other than that no problem.

CHARACTER
Oh man... I hate Naruto,Sasuke and Sakura really bad. All of them are incredibly frustrating. I love Kakashi. But I hate most characters of Naruto. Cringy.

ENJOYMENT
There are many flashbacks. Characters are looking each other lmao. Saying same things again and again. Most of episodes are soooo boring.

Oh man. What a garbage.
