'Grisaia: Phantom Trigger' TV Anime Sequel in Production
The official website of the Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation theatrical original video anime announced a television anime sequel on Friday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured above).
Bibury Animation Studios is returning to produce the television anime, with Front Wing and WOWMAX credited for production.
The original video anime adapting the first two volumes of the visual novel opened in theaters in Japan in March 2019. A second installment subtitled Stargazer premiered in November 2020, covering the third volume (pictured right). Director Tensho (Motoki Tanaka) founded Bibury Animation Studios to lead the production of the anime project.
Front Wing released the first two volumes of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger in Japan and with English translations in April 2017. The eighth and final volume shipped on Friday.
Synopsis
Following the Heath Oslo incident, the existence of the US-Japanese anti-terror organization CIRS has become a matter of public knowledge. CIRS has been rebuilt from the ground up, and its most covert functions spun off to a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development).
The goal of SORD is to train a new generation of operatives to defend the country against future threats. To that end, the organization has established a series of schools up and down the country. Mihama Academy, more-or-less left to rot after its abrupt closure, has been given a new purpose as one such 'specialist training school.'
This new incarnation of Mihama Academy is home to a diverse group of students, who every day work to polish their unusual skills - sometimes on the job. Mihama now entrusts the misfit girls who attend it with guns and live ammunition. Paying their own safety no heed, these students are again and again plunged into dangerous extrajudicial missions - all for the good of the realm. (Source: Official Kickstarter, edited)

Explain all of this to me because I've only seen the TV series with Yuuji in it lol
Then good for you. Phantom Trigger basically removes everything that was good about the original trilogy and replaces it with utter garbage.
Think about Promised Neverland situation, but two or three times worse.
Spare yourself cringe and just don't watch it.

Hardcore Grisaia fan...because of Yuuji and the milkable girls.
Oh I almost forgot: the sequel movie Stargazer...was quickly forgotten.
I should watch that before suffering again for the TV anime (which actually is not a re-adaptation of the movies, but a sequel after sequel after prequel).
Please Tensho and Bibury...just stop.

I'm definitely still doing that first before I watch the anime adaptions to simply enjoy them as they are for the animation.

Phantom Trigger being the departure of what made the Grisaia series very entertaining...
The 2-parter movie didn't really do much for me...and it's safe to say that Bibury is just milking this series hard.
Also, any Grisaia series without Yuuji in it is an auto pass. Call me biased, but that's to be expected.
Why do you always have to be correct about absolutely everything? :/

i guess i'll have the haul out the old parts of my favorites lists again and refresh my 'pirate' sites' links to the 'old ones' and the 'new movies' when Grisaia pops up again in Japan. :>
i just hope i won't have to dig too damn hard through the internet to find Grisaia stuffs. you wouldn't believe how shoddily 'those sites' maintain their older shows. i had to root around in some VERY peculiar nooks and crannies to get all the 'Aria Company' seasons and episodes in a viewable manner.

That little girl with with dark hair reminds me of the old MC though, so I wonder what the deal is with her
