Visual Novel 'Grisaia: Phantom Trigger' Receives Anime Adaptation

An official website has opened for an anime adaptation of visual novel Grisaia: Phantom Trigger on Saturday. Akio Watanabe (Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai) will serve as the character designer and chief animation director, while Ryuichiro Yamakawa (Grisaia no Kajitsu) will produce the anime.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger takes place after the existing Grisaia trilogy, and features a completely new group of heroines as well as a new protagonist. The story follows a class of students at Mihama Academy, which has been converted by anti-terror organization CIRS into a "specialist training school" for a new generation of operatives.

The visual novel is developed by Front Wing with the first two volumes released worldwide in April 2017. The third volume is set to be released on July 28.

I've played the VN, and each volume (it's divided into volumes) is only about 3 hours long. 2 volumes have been released so far, and a 3rd one is going to be released at the end of this month. If i remember correctly the original Grisaia was 52 hours

The Fruit of Grisaia alone took me about 80 hours. Currently working on Labyrinth and learning about Yuuji's past. Crazy and dark stuff. Michiru is my favorite.

Game Vol.3 will get anime adaptation. Crowdfunding for it will start in June.
The BD & DVD of the movie, which consists of game vol.1 & 2 adaptation, will release on June 28.

Since I can neither get you via PM nor on IRC, I'll have to post it here.

I've noticed character name errors and have asked Naru and Vindstot to fix it because you're never on the IRC so I can't get you.

Please try and proofread your articles next time. The official site has the character names written in English as well.

FYI, the errors you had was writing 獅子ヶ谷(Shishigaya) as Shishitagani, 有坂秋桜里(Arisaka Shiori) as Arisaka Shitori and 九真城恵(Kumashiro Megumi) as Mashiro Megumi.

I understand you can't JP, but at least try to proofread your articles.....the official site has the romanization of names. I can't fault you if even the official site doesn't has it but in this case it does and it's your job as a mod to not make these simple errors.

Yeah I can't do much about it but well its just the matter of it... I mean its not as bad compared to memeserk 2k17 (which I fucking despised, worse than Tokyo Ghoul Root A xD)

While I enjoyed the original Grisaia, I'm a bit wary about this simply cos its an entirely new cast, and that original group is part of what made the VN (and the show, to a lesser extent) so great, so it'll be weird to have Grisaia without them. I'd probably have to wait until it starts airing and see what kind of reception it receives before I decide.

Basically, since Phantom Trigger looks at least as bad as Meikyuu, and 8bit is "opposite" quality adaptors, a Phantom Trigger anime could be good

AKA. they screw up the ones that should be good and improve the ones that are bad, from history

Grisaia no Meikyuu = garbage VN, masterpiece adaptation
Grisaia no Rakuen = meh VN, pretty good adaptation

Phantom Trigger should mirror Meikyuu.
