Studio Pierrot Produces Netflix Exclusive Anime Series 'Hero Mask'

An official website opened for an original anime titled Hero Mask on Friday. Studio Pierrot is producing series exclusively for Netflix. The first part of the anime containing 15 episodes will debut worldwide on December 3.

Synopsis
Now there's a mysterious Mask before James Blood, and the man behind it is one that shouldn't exist. What is the mystery surrounding this mask...?

So begins an action-packed crime story set in a beautiful city!

That was a really beautiful trailer you can tell how much work they put into it to get people hyped! This is gonna be an instant 8~10/10!

How I hate the Netflix Original tag. They may be called netflix originals and marketed as such, but in reality they don't have any involvement with them whatsoever. Just like normal TV Anime, they're funded by production comittees, which from all shows released so far, Netflix wasn't a part of. Shows also don't have higher budget or better schedule. Netflix is doing shit for the anime industry. It's just another platform for TV Anime.

On that note, I don't have a lot of high hopes for this show. Kinda reminds me of Psycho Pass, which I hated. Staff seems to be pretty meh as well and the character designs are looking really bland

If every show they made was complete crap I would be worried, but I don't think that's the case. I hope they continue to make more anime.

Most of the hate comes from them not releasing the episodes while it's airing. If you take that out of the equation I don't think they're doing a bad job. I'm a binge watcher so Netflix schedule doesn't really affect me.

What? You honestly think the author said give this to your backup studio to ensure that the animation is absolute garbage. And don't forget to make sure the story doesn't make sense at all. Make sure you don't include any new music too. Sorry but this is 100% Pierrot's fault. Maybe a bit on the publisher for deciding to use them in the first place.
Also quick question when you say they have a good reputation in Japan where are you getting this from? I haven't found anything indicating whether it's good or bad.

Yeah. If you didn't know Ishida is involved with :re anime. Pierrot isn't some big bad boogeyman.

Well PV looks interesting but at the same time it's Pierrot so I'm not expecting much. It's been a long long time since they've last made a "good" anime so this one is surely to be a miss.

great combination, seriously. Pierrot's best work comes when they do the animation ahead of time rather than every week before release. I don't know if it'll actually be good, but at the very least, it'll look good
