Yukiyo Fujii worked as a stage lighting technician prior to becoming a seiyuu. She also previously participated in the 2008 Miss International Japan pageant.

Fujii was initially affiliated with the AOI Corporation talent agency, appearing in a number of live-action dramas before beginning voice work. She joined Aoni Production in April 2011.
