Geno Studio announced three new anime projects on their official website, along with a teaser PV that includes basic information for all three titles on the official Twitter. The three new projects are an anime adaptation of Kokkoku, the previously announced anime project of Golden Kamuy, and a new work directed by Takahiro Omori (Durarara!!).

Kokkoku
The staff and cast members have been revealed with a separate teaser PV for the Kokkoku anime adaptation. The key visual was revealed last week, and the one pictured is an updated version with its title revealed. The anime will broadcast on Mondays via Tokyo MX and BS11 at 12:30 a.m. in Winter 2018. Amazon Prime will also stream the anime.

Synopsis
Juri Yukawa lives with her NEET father and brother, her retired grandfather, her sister (a single mother) and her young nephew. One day, her nephew and brother are kidnapped for ransom. Having only 30 minutes to meet the demands of the kidnappers, Juri, who realizes there is not enough time to prepare the money, decides to head for their rescue by herself with a knife in hand when her grandfather uses a mysterious stone passed on in the Yukawa family to stop time.

In a world where everyone and everything is inert, Juri and her father and grandfather run to rescue the two. But at the kidnappers' hideout, they soon realize they are not the only ones who can move about in this still world... (Source: MU)

New Work by Takahiro Omori
Director Takahiro Omori (Durarara!!) has been planning this work for ten years. The story is about having a pure heart and trying to be considerate of each other when living in a world with no freedom.

Geno Studio was established when the studio took over Gyakusatsu Kikan, when Manglobe went bankrupt in the middle of production. Therefore, Gyakusatsu Kikan is considered the 0th work of the studio. The Blu-ray and DVD for the movie will be released on October 25.

Kokkoku... stopping time seems mildly exciting and visuals look pretty cool and action-filled. But those plots also easily devolve into trash...

So is Geno LITERALLY Manglobe 2, or is there no relationship beyond Genocidal Organ? Honest question.

From what I remember, Manglobe went bankrupt and couldn't finish the movie, so that studio picked it up. Don't quote me on that.

Ohh, that studio. The one that finished Manglobe's movie. Seems interesting. I'm willing to give those all a shot.

Kokkoku has an interesting premise.

Golden Kamuy looks okay.

The Takahiro Omori anime looks intriguing, but I would need to see more about it.

Kokkoku sounds really cool. It doesn't seem like your typical mediocre edgy premise so I'm interested in it.

Wasn't grimderp what did Manglobe in to begin with? Guessing this studio will keep doing the same mistakes.

Oh nice this new studio is picking up alot of stuff id imagine a studio like managlobe would of before they entered their dying stages. Most interested in the oomori anime

I'm mostly waiting for Golden Kamui. Kokkoku might be interesting too, but I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea.

Oct 16, 2017 7:41 AM by JustAnotherShiro

I am interested in the series by Takahiro Omori. Will watch the PV and decide whether or not to watch it.

Oct 16, 2017 7:41 AM by laidellent

Very interested in Golden Kamuy. I'm guessing it will air Spring or Summer next year.

Did not expect Kokkoku to get an anime tbh. I've read a few chapters and it's a strange series.

I have a mixed feeling toward newly formed studios, but at least a script writer of Baccano is not bad at all and the key visual is decent.

So I will stay optimistic and be looking for new PV from Golden Kamuy anime adaptation.

Oh great, a new replacement studio for Manglobe.. that who's also behind of Project Itoh (Meh ain't that kinda sucks)

Still gonna look forward Golden Kamui tho xD

Wah I'm quite confused while reading Kokkoku it's just as mindless as Aku no Hana, well the manga has a lot more details than the animu and it could be bad literally

Kokkoku PV looks so good. Looking forward for this anime

Oct 16, 2017 6:13 AM by thepath

Kokkoku could be interesting but the staff is pretty meh and the manga, while its only 50 votes, seems to have mixed reception with barely under 7.00. (made in abyss had 7.3 when the anime was announced tho so im not going to judge it for that).

anyway the PV seems pretty decent. also the manga is finished so i guess we gonna have a full adaptation which is a +.

also nice surprise to see them doing Golden Kamui with a solid staff this time around ! wonder when they gonna air it..

also hyped for an original from Takahiro Omori, the dude is underrated as f. Looking forward to see whats hes been cooking for 10 years.
