Manga 'Fairy Tail' to End
Fairy Tail has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine since August 2006, and currently has over 60 million copies in print worldwide. The series won in Shounen manga category at the 33rd Kodansha Manga Award and Japan Expo Award in 2009. The manga has inspired multiple adaptations; including a 175-episode TV series, a 102-episode sequel, two OVA series, two anime films, several spin-off manga, and a side story novel series.
Del Rey Manga (now defunct) initially published the first 12 volumes of the manga in English in North America, and Kodansha Comics USA resumed publishing the manga with the 13th volume in May 2011. Funimation licensed the anime for North American distribution, and has been releasing the series in Blu-ray and DVD since April 2013.

The story got repetitive. So many characters and arcs were ruined. Lots of bullshit had happened and lots of nerves were lost in this journey

Wish Mashima new manga had TLR level of ecchiness instead of the subpar level that is Fairy Tail.

Started great, got repetitive and generic really fast, story arcs quality dropped very hard after the 7 year "timeskip".
Please, no "Boruto"-style continuations, let it be put to rest with a little more dignity.
If your "plans for the franchise" are just spin-offs in the same world, I'm okay with that, Mashima. But end it before it goes full Bleach again.
Also, really hope the "new series" is something who seems different from Rave/FT, instead of more action-fantasy-sofcoretecchi.

Man, I never really considered how I'd feel when the day came to see that 'Fairy Tail' To End announcement. It's bittersweet, really. As one of my first anime/manga pick-ups, Fairy Tail has established itself as one of my all-time favorite franchises, particularly thanks to the characters (looking at you, Erza).
I think it's nice, though, that the series is heading towards a conclusive and fulfilling end. As much as some fans would love for it to never end, we've seen what that can do to similar franchises overtime, and I don't want that for Fairy Tail. Mashima, both as a person and mangaka, is someone to really respect, and I trust that he knows when it's time to move on.
I'm looking forward to the future, excited to see what's to come as the manga concludes. Here's to hoping we get a nice and proper third adaptation.
I can't believe what I just read.

Conclusive end? Mashima and respect? That guy draws children in sexually provocative poses. Every arc for the past 400 chapters was just a mess. Deus Ex Machinas don't make sense, arc conclusions were nothing but a spite into the readers eyes. There is so much illogical shit (even for a manga) that happens in it and it doesn't make sense as soon as you think about it for a while. The series has been nothing but rehashing shitty arc schemes over and over again with no variety. The series is a prime example on how NOT to do shonen manga. The villains are one-dimensional cardboard characters, One-Punch-Man offers a more realistic power level system and the story was non-existent as it lacked an ultimate goal. Natsu is one of the most unsympathetic main characters i've ever seen and the amount of "pulled out of my ass" moments in this series is unreachable by any other manga. This series was just bad after the first 50-60 chapters.
Maybe it's because it was the first series that you picked up, but Fairy Tail offers so little entertainment value that even children would get bored of it. I do respect other people's opinions but FT is even objectively bad. The series should have ended over 400 chapters ago when it reached a point where you couldn't go anywhere else anyway and it's a perfect example of a dead horse beaten further. FT makes a mediocre manga like Bleach look like a masterpiece. You should consider reading better shonen like One Piece manga (not the anime), Seven deadly sins, Hero no academia and such. FT is just a mess with boobs and ass. I can't believe with what kind of shit Mashima got through, not only talking about his children sexual poses drawings and his absolute sexist drawing style when it comes to the females in the series.
I mean I can't deny it has issues but considering you mentioned "One Piece" and "good manga" in the same sentence... well no offense really. (I dropped it after Marineford arc which was the point I said fuck everything because I just didn't liked anything but few characters... and they pulled shit out of the ass for me) but I digress on the matter. But eh I can agree with Boku no Hero Academia.
Also, draws children in sexually provocatived poses? Uh... you do know that's just drawings right? As Kitens-kun pointed out in all honesty. If it was like showing the "v" and "p" on a shounen magazine/publsier then yeah I call bullshit on that (unlike what people are calling out on Tokyo Ghoul Re where apparently it had sex... in a seinen).
Another thing, while I don't give much respect for Mashima as an author I can somewhat respect him for what he delivered. Yeah, stupid asspulls and such but there were, while minor, some good moments in the series. I think for FT he lost a lot of motivation hence why it feels like he is getting tired of it, not to mention its rather common I assume for publishers to force to continue writing stuff, hence why I felt for Mashima in this regard. But eh, my take on it, take it with a grain of salt.

Time for the inevitable re-read after having it on-hold since god knows when.
Same, lol.
But I think I'm going to watch till it catches the manga then going into the manga again.

I'm interested to see what the new series will be about though. I kinda hope that the mangaka will stop with the friendship power thing though cause both Rave and Fairy Tail is taking it to extreme levels...
