In this week's Shounen magazine, chapter 341 of Fairy Tail carries an announcement that the project for the next TV anime series adaptation has started. For the moment, no other details have yet been announced.

exactly. just because you dislike ecchi, doesn't mean you have to call it porn. that's a bit insulting.

Mod Note: If you wish to discuss the level of ecchi in the manga and compare it to the Big Three, then start or join a thread in Manga Discussion or the FT Series. This is not the place for that debate and mods will remove posts that are off topic.

The legitimate reason for mentioning it here, is the question of what timeslot FT will return in, and if the intention is to focus the anime on more adult themes to reflect the current manga content. However I think you've given that a thorough airing unless there is additional information coming out or another mangaka tweet that sheds light on that issue.

I'm guessing the only reason the word "porn" was used, was because ppl wanted to exaggerate the actual ecchiness and/or because they just wanted to vent their dislike towards the ecchi, and the word "porn" described how much they hated the ecchiness much better than actually using the word "ecchi" which would have been much more accurate.

Well first of all this will be my last post about this, a mod 9 posts above yours has said that this is not on topic. So I will just clarify, if you want to take this any further, post on my profile.

It looks like you need to take a look at the first five words of my post you quoted. Ok, I never said that it wasn't. All I said was it was the closest battle shounen to porn(thus having the most ecchi), not that it wasn't adapted from an ecchi manga or whatever, just that it has the most. Maybe you decided to quote the wrong person.

I wasn't the one who brought this up. Someone else did so I don't know why you're quoting me, once again. Also your logic is flawed, someone can't watch a show if they don't like the ecchi aspect and can't talk about the ecchi if they do like it.

It was adapted from an ecchi manga so of course there will be scenes of that nature. If you don't like ecchi, why would you watch a series based on an ecchi manga?

Please actually learn to read so you can know that they said Fairy Tail is the closest battle shounen to porn(meaning that it has the most ecchi) and not that it is porn.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding this but are you actually implying that the level of ecchi and fan-service between Fairy tail and the other long running battle manga/anime are close to each other? Fairy tail is full blown ecchi while the others keep the fan-service to minimum or entirely not present.

Saying Fairy Tail has the most ecchi elements/scenes in a battle shounen manga is a factually accurate statement.

Haha, not even nearly as bad as Fairy Tail. And those are like the only scenes that you can pick out.

Oh I agree it has ecchi elements as do all of the long running series going on. However to call it borderline porn or hentai is by far unfair and shows immense bias and an attempt to mask the fact that people just don't like the series and what it stands for so they seek out excuses to drag it down in the eyes of the uninformed. And that's what pisses me off the most. That hypocrisy.

That wasn't a fight. The Tournament had various events of differing nature. You hear of this from the very start the tournament is even brought up into the story. It was not a full on fight tournament from start to end. It never pretended to be.
