Synopsis
Takeru Narihira is a lone wolf delinquent who spends his days getting into fights, avoiding friendships, and being captivated by a mysterious girl named Tsukimiya—someone he's only ever seen in his dreams.

One day, a sudden accident sends him tumbling off a cliff. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself in Denji Heian-kyou, a futuristic version of the ancient capital, where advanced technology and mysticism coexist. This world is under the protection of the legendary onmyouji, Abe no Seimei—and to Takeru's shock, Tsukimiya is real and living in this very place.

Just as he begins to revel in this fated encounter, a deadly black mist known as Yamikaoru descends, bringing forth monstrous beings called Oni. In the chaos, both he and Tsukimiya are killed—only for Takeru to awaken once again in Denji Heian-kyou.

Realizing he has somehow slipped through time, Takeru resolves to defy fate. To protect Tsukimiya from her doomed future, he turns to Abe no Seimei to train in the art of onmyou-jutsu. Now, as an onmyouji himself, he must fight to rewrite destiny and uncover the truth behind this strange new world.

It's David Productions, so at least you know the animation will be really good.

Onmyou-punk? The setting is interesting, unless it's just for a surface level aesthetics. Can't say the same about the premise, since I never found time travel or time reset interesting. It usually just makes most of the plot inconsequential and a slog to get through repeated parts. Looking at the trailer, visuals are workable, albeit really bland, MC has an awful character design and I can already tell I'll hate his personality. I'll check out the first episode for the setting with low expectations.

As a side note, I know it's connected to the premise but it's still kind of funny to see "original anime" have a derivative suffix "Re:Birth" in the title.

@KimgeaR People will always whine when they see an isekai no matter how good or bad it is. The setting is just an additional excuse for them to start calling it trash and spread hate about it .

Seems very interesting and the fact my girl Uchida Maaya will voice one of the characters is one very important reason to watch the anime. And of course I also fully trust the studio even if this an original anime.

Finally an original anime that's not a CGDCT-shit, I hope it'll be good.

@GoodBoy0069 And? I do not have a phobia of isekai as many people. I literally criticized the obsession with labels above.

Original anime, which is not an adaptation of the non-existent CGDCT/shonen manga and not one gender Waifu/Hasubendo Bait? Is this possible? This is revolutionary
This is just an Isekai.

@EcchiGodMamster You are too dependent on tropes, not seeing the actual shows behind them

Always glad to see more original works! Music in the background (OP?) kind of sounded like TM Revolution?

WHAT IN THE 2007 IS THIS????

LOOKS FUCKING FIRE yes, pun intended

I remember some people said they want an isekai having different setting that’s not typical medieval European fantasy.

Well there you have it, dreams come true right?

THEY HEARD MY CRIES, not only that but the MC is honestly pretty badass looking, instead of your typical bland dude with short black/brown/white hair

Futuristic Heian-period is definitely eye-catching, but I hope they do something interesting with the setting, instead of just turning them into a quirky backdrop with a jumbled art style...
