Composer Yuushi Matsuyama Dies

News reports in Japan reported that composer Yuushi Matsuyama died the afternoon of Friday April 7 from the fire burning his house. He was 79 years old.

Born Shigeru Matsuyama, it is said that he was born either in 1937 or 1938. He is one of the composers to compose music of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series along with Takeo Watanabe. He also arranged the theme songs for the Alps no Shoujo Heidi series, the Shin Kyojin no Hoshi series, and more.
