Man, sometimes when it comes to isekai stuff i wish they'd adapt some good xianxia with more meaningful storytelling than these bunch of crap

I wonder how many of these critics already read LN?
I am not telling you that it is 10/10 LN but I have to laugh because somebody only manage to read synopsis and tell "It is definitely trash!"

Do we even need to mention this will be a generic piece of garbage at this point?
No, it won an award and ANN reviews said it was good.
yeah an award like tokyo awards? what a joke. Those awards have no credibility anymore.

*checks season lists*
Looks like Masou Gakuen in Summer 2016 was the last one.
I know the source material appears as cliched as fuck, but it's almost like a dying breed nowadays.
*muses to myself whether or not non-reverse harem is dying anime genre*

I thought that he went to a world of smartphones where he will befriend smartphones. I didn't know why I expected that. I guess after KonoSuba, I was expecting something different. Although the character designs intrigued me, because flat and non-oversized boobs are my favorite type of things. I might actually end up liking it for the waifus and not the story like all my harem ever.
Besides, just like this thread, people shits on KonoSuba announcement too in MAL. Now look at that, one of the biggest selling anime with LN sales of over 3m and BD/DVD averages on 10k+ each. So I really would reserve my judgement and hold off the pitchfork, people.

It's called a trend. It happens in all industries, not just anime. Just an example; Infinity Ward had to fight tooth and nail to get Modern Warfare made, because Activision said that no one wanted modern settings in shooter games. An year later, they had to fight tooth and nail to get World at War made, because Activision said that no one wanted historical settings in shooter games anymore. Same shit is happening in anime right now. Isekai anime are popular. Therefore, make more Isekai anime to cash in on the hype.
Actually the Isekai genre has existed for decades going all the way back to classic works like the Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan etc. Anime had some well established titles like Twelve Kingdoms, El Hazzard and like. Unfortunately modern Isekai has most be infected with male power fantasies which is why it is looked down a upon nowadays. hopefully as the better stuff in genre will continue to be adapted to pushback against some of the criticism.
I'm not saying it's never existed. I'm saying that the trend didn't start until recently. Just like how Modern Warfare truly kickstarted the trend of FPS games set in the modern day, SAO's success is, I assume, where the "fire" was first kindled for Isekai anime.

Why's so many reincarnation plot based story and light novels these days?? Is it that they have ran out of ideas?

Are these LNs like, self-published? Or does Japan really have publishing standards this low? Like, how does this trash get accepted anywhere?
These are still decently written compared to newbie western and chinese novels.

Ehh... You just explained something that I will like...
Good... This is for me, probably. The waifus looks fappable too...
Well, this shit has real polygamy on it. Yep, a real harem. You'll probably like it haha.
Ohhh, a wacky relationship flags huh... I'll try to see what it has for me... For now, a good stuff... Yeah...
I wish my ship will sail...

OP MC that fools around doing things that have no real purpose. It's good on what it's trying to do, but if you're expecting some sort of a cohesive plot in the long run, meh, just look for something else.

Plus, it's Slice of Life (mainly) so you can bet on no story progression whatsoever.
At the end, Whoever this appeals to is going to be happy.
