The salutation livestream of the Chainsaw Man world premiere event revealed on Monday five additional cast, theme song artists, and a fourth promotional video. The anime series adapting Tatsuki Fujimoto's action adventure manga will premiere on October 12 at 12:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo.

Cast
Pochita: Shiori Izawa (Made in Abyss)
Himeno: Mariya Ise (Kakegurui)
Kobeni Higashiyama: Karin Takahashi (Dr. Stone)
Hirokazu Arai: Taku Yashiro (Enen no Shouboutai)
Kishibe: Kenjirou Tsuda (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu (Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season) is performing the opening theme "KICK BACK," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Ending Themes
"Chu, Tayousei." by ano (Tiger & Bunny 2)
"Fight Song" by Eve (Jujutsu Kaisen)
"Deep down" by Aimer (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen)
"Dainou-tekina Rendez-vous" by Kanaria
"In The Backroom" by syudou (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu)
"Violence" by Ziyoou-vachi (Dororo)
"Zanki" by ZUTOMAYO (Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi)
"first death" by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (Tokyo Ghoul)
"Jouzai" by TOOBOE
"CHAINSAW BLOOD" by Vaundy (Ousama Ranking)
"DOGLAND" by PEOPLE 1
"Hawatari 2-oku Centi" by Maximum the Hormone (Death Note)

Maximum the Hormone's ending theme will also be used as an insert song.

Ryuu Nakayama (Jujutsu Kaisen episode director) is helming the series at animation studio MAPPA, with Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro) handling the script. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu) is designing the characters and Kensuke Ushio (Devilman: Crybaby) is composing the music.

Fujimoto launched the horror action manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in December 2018, after ending Fire Punch in Shounen Jump+ in January that year. The manga concluded its first part in December 2020 and began part 2 with chapter 98 on July 12. Shueisha is scheduled to ship the 12th volume on October 4.

VIZ Media released the first three chapters in English simultaneously with the Japanese release as a part of its Jump Start initiative and subsequently serialized it in their digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The company now simulpublishes the manga on its Shounen Jump platform and shipped the 11th volume on March 4. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also began simulpublishing the manga in English last January.

reminds me of Ninja Slayer From Animation that has different ED each episode but this time its from popular artists

also the leaks are confirmed that it will only be a 1 cour or 12 episodes first season so my guess is as early as 2024 when second season will be out since Jujutsu Kaisen second season will be out in 2023

12 EDs is kinda crazy, it did happen similarly with Dorohedoro but in this case, there are different artists singing their own songs for each episodes lol

It all depends on the reception of the show and the efforts of the studio itself. Maybe we'll get a second season next year like Komi and Kaguya.

impossible to have a sequel next year if they want to maintain movie animation quality especially that they gonna air Vinland Saga S2 and Attack on Titan Finale next year too

It all depends on their priorities and planning. Is it possible that they are already working on these shows or have already done them?

Because these dudes are killing their employees with the schedule already, so there is no way you can animate CSM, Jigokuraku, Vinland Saga, Shingeki and Jujutsu Kaisen 2 (which is gonna be like 20 fights non stop) in a single year.

Very less compared to the number of anime A1 and Lidenflims are producing each year. Moreover producing 3-5 anime each year isn't anything unusual majority of the studio does that.

Mappa have plenty of resources with 310+ employees at the moment.

they are doing high quality animation and look at KyoAni and Ufotable doing only 1-2 anime each year with high quality animation

number of employees of an anime studio is such myth with regards to producing high quality animation like check out the number of employees of Toei Animation that is around 700-1000 and since talented freelance super animators are only few this days so they cannot be part of every high profile anime projects

The animation movements looked like CGI for some reason but well...
I hope they won't ruin the manga.

Mappa hype train doesn't slow down, considering all that artists for the EDs.
Maybe for some people 12 eps is a bit of a let down, but it is understable, considering how many titles Mappa have and how many resources putted in anime CSM.

training new animators takes a lot of time and not all of them become super talented animators later on plus veteran talented animators are always busy they have no time to train new animators anyway

the anime industry got an animator shortage crisis going on right now due to overworking and underpaying so a lot either resign or never try applying for the job

only Kyoto Animation is not affected and got awesome management and staff that can train new animators on a constant basis so well that some good enough portion of them become talented animators later on so yes the veteran talented animators of Kyoto Animation have enough time to train new animators because that studio only do 1-2 anime each year
