Overrated is the most garbage word that dumb humans ever invented. Story/Characters/Development >>>>>>> Animation and anything else PFFFFTTT.... CASUALS!!! :P Anime is just an adaptation from the original source. An original source might haven't adapt into an anime if it wasn't for the story and characters that carry the series. Animation isn't everything. Story is the big factor when it comes for watching anime and reading manga. Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san (movie) Declassified Information: I've been watching anime since 2015 and I'm so happy that I'm watching anime. I remember using MAL way back in 2016 but I didn't make an account because I thought that MAL is like Wikipedia, with ratings! xD There are so many animes that I've watched before so when I joined here, I instantly put all my completed anime on my list. I also like to watch Japanese TV dramas and Japanese Live Action movies but it depends on how the story will interest me. I also started to play piano before and I created a Youtube channel for my covers, but I deleted it because I don't have confidence in myself. I mostly cover anime OP and ED, and soundtracks from any anime because I love soundtracks. I also like to write novels, mostly romance ones and even more in Webnovel like 300-500 pages of a book. I respect all the opinions of my friends and users here, even they don't like an anime that I like because everyone has preferences. But if you start to talk some trash and you don't respect me while I'm respecting you... GET OUT OF THIS PROFILE AND NEVER COME BACK AGAIN, YOU FUCKING RETARD! So where we're we? Asides that, I have many hobbies and interest that I want to share to all of you. Hope you like it. Even they are not so-called, "masterpiece" or highly-rated, they are always special to me because if I haven't watched them, my interest for watching anime will become 0. By the way, my main genre is romantic dramedies but others can be my favorite, as long as it can pique my interest and it's decent. I loved inspirational dramas like Honey and Clover, 3-gatsu no Lion, Clannad, etc. My Freaking Scoring System I finally fixed all of my anime scores in my list! Still if you have found some animes are higher than your favorite anime, respect. Everyone has their own preferences and I don't give a shit for those who will trash my anime scores. I'm talking to you, you pathethic elitists! I'll explain my ranking system to all of you. 10 - BEAUTIFUL. Amazing! I really enjoyed this anime but I'll always remember that there's no perfect anime. 9 - AWESOME. There are some flaws but it can be an amazing anime. 8 - GOOD. Great anime but some moments are not impressive but still great! 7 - ALLRIGHT. Solid anime but it can be forgettable. I can still recommend that kind of anime. 6 - FINE. Good anime but there are some parts that are average and forgettable. 5 - OKAY. I fast-forward some scenes so I can complete it. 4 - MEH... Barely enjoyable, I think? 3 - CLOWN. Not enjoyable so much. It made me quite an idiot for watching it. 2 - MEME. Probably become shit. They shouldn't waste their time in making the anime. 1 - IN THE GARBAGE. One of the most horrible, disgusting, and garbage anime of all time. The opposite of 10. They should put this anime into the trash bin and rot it forever. When I dropped some animes, it doesn't mean that I'll not watch it. Probably some time if I'm still interesting to watch it or maybe not. Same as in On-Hold lists. New extra criteria for scoring: ENTERTAINMENT FACTOR - Based on a specific content how a show is entertaining in their corresponding main points. FORGETTABLE AND MEMORABLE - Self-explainable. Based on how memorable or forgettable a show is. So there you have it, folks. All this info comes from me and from me myself xD. I hope you enjoy in staying in this profile and add me as your friend, if you want. It's because the more friends I have, the merrier
PS: If you want to become friends with me, drop me a message and your reason why. Just a valid reason to accept your friend request because some users sent me friend request just to talk shit on me. See you, chump. |

I want you to know that there are people that aren't only entitled to their own opinions, and hence I wish to spread this to more people so we can be more understanding.
Best wishes,
another rando on the internet.
Of course, it is a romance, the main guideline of the series is Violet understanding Gilbert saying i love you to her before disappearing. (But i accept that is not the main genre of the violet serie).
If most people hated why it has 8.90 on MAL, that don’t make any sense.
Also did we see or find the body of Gilbert at any time ? If his death was this important as "everybody" is saying, we would have seen a proof of his death from the start.
I also think you are forgetting that this is a movie so they have to adapt it to people that didnt saw the series can also enjoy it. There is also the factor that they have to make people enjoy it in order to make people speak about the movie and make it a success.
Animation movie are unfortunately not enough mainstream (in my country for exemple, i dont know of the other) to take risks by making sad ending and seeing people dissatisfaction winning over the story quality. (but animations movie other than Ghibli’s are getting popular but we are at the start)
I don’t agree with the take that Violet happy ending is incompatible with her characters growing and maturing. In the light novel, she also finds her way back with Gilbert so what is the point of making all this controversy....
I knew i was forgetting something when i was writing my last comment: i was going to say that i forgot what rank Ouran and School rumble had back in the days but that nice that you remember it.
I would have agreed to your reasons if code geass, Hajime no Ippo Coboy bepop, clannad and gto wher not in the top 50 but when you look at the animes that are in the top 50, the reasosn you gived my dont apply.
Romance-comedy animes are or were more niche in mainstream anime watchers’ community but also because romance was and is still mostly associated to women (shojo categorized) and has we all know there are more male anime watchers than women for now who tend to watch more shonen than shojo's
Shonen type is way more watched than Romance-comedy type that why i think Love is War did make something huge by pushing the genre romcom in the top 10 for now.
I think you miss a point that why Love is War got such ratings, are because you can easily identify yourself as one of the characters (like ishigami), it was really funny (and that's what we first expect of RomCom genre), it gives freshness to a genre that can be repetitive over the years.
Especially for your spring romance anime season, I loved "Actually, I am..." but sadly it never got a season 2, and probably never will tbh, I've been reading the manga and I enjoyed it way more than the anime, so maybe you could give I a try too. Though "Silent Voice" is the only romance I disagree with, maybe it's just me, but I've never watched that film as a romance show, I don't know, maybe I was watching it with the wrong mindset I guess.
For how I even found your profile in the first place, it's from "Lycoris Recoil" review. However, I am not as harsh, I have to agree on the only fun you get is when you turn off your brain to watch it, the same can be said for shows like "Spy x Family" which I also agree that it was boring(Maybe I am more of a manga/novel person, idk, I really only watched it because I was reading that series before). Still, I personally don't understand why you ranked "Angel Beats" so high, similar to prior animes I've mentioned, I feel like it's really a story that you can only enjoy if you turn off your brain because most scenes are overexaggerated and mostly made for comedy.
Btw, just curious about why you like CSM(Chainsaw Man). From your rating, you rated it pretty high. I personally am not really a big fan, because it's not really "dark" like what most people say, maybe because I just don't care about other's lives anymore, but I thought chainsaw man was using cheap tricks and plot twists in order to engross most of its audience. Maybe I am looking at the show in the wrong direction. Because I really couldn't understand what is so good about that show, I feel like it's just another overhyped show. Just curious on your POV.
Just another person on the internet, please don't be offended, as this comment doesn't mean harm or anything like that, instead it would just like to ask for different opinions and views so I, myself, can understand more and broaden my own range of understanding on how people rate shows, that's all.
I didn't expected a second that Gilbert would be alive, i tought that violet hope would be decived. And it would have been fine for me.
But i also think that was a great idea to make gilbert alive, why ? Because nobody expected it from the start, so i think it made people happy for
Violet while leaving the theater. If you didnt like the movie, you can just consider that the anime was the true end and the movie an alternative ending for
fans or people who where sad for Violet.
I agree that there are better romcom than kaguya-sama (agree with S1 and S2 pattern are better) but thanks to the kaguya series, i can finally see a romcom anime genre in the top 10 (i was tired to see mostly shonen/action type to be always on the top/ getting recognition).
I think it deserved top ranking just for the fact that it finally made everyone agree that romcom type can be as good as action/shonen type or even better by the majority based on a score.
I totally agree HxH or Steins Gats deserve top rank but sorry to tell you that FMAB dont deserve the first place or the top 5.
There are many animes that are better than FMAB like kaguya sama, code geass, violet evergarden or Gintama for exemple but "hey" because
of his biggest fanbase and many toxic fan are doing review bombing, guess what it's still number one ;)
But i really thing in this case that people who wrote that review are just giving it free hate because it's is number one.
And making the flaws of the anime like it was a huge mistake or something terrible.
Maybe i will change me score later on if the show go bad but i clearly think it dont deserve 3 or 4 note on the 1st épisode.
Nothing is perfect but there are many qualities in this anime and they dont even give it a chance.
I can understand a lot but people are really mean or too narrow minded too see good aspects of this anime......
I was considering minoring in computer science, there's a lot of money XD
