Don't worry about it.
I am going to still check it out for the sake of certain friends. I mean, if its not too long & if it doesn't drop below 5/10 I'll probably complete it just so they can talk to me about it.
I like these people & if an episode a week makes them happy, then I'm trying it.
firstly, it's not strange AT ALL for someone to not watch movies. The current wave of films rarely makes up any actual good stories or even good acting. Plus, Netflix has some real issues, so I do get it.
I usually try the 90s movies & past productions, and barely watch a new film every year if there's any good ones.
Thank you for the warning about Sakamoto Days. Usually, it's NOT the kind of anime that would catch my eye, but since literally tens of my friends & acquaintances recommended it, I thought that I might try it for their sake.
But oh my, you are definitely in for a great ride with The Apothecary Diaries. I can't wait until you watch it & tell me how you like it.
That's the spirit Iko! You are brave & I know that you can get through anything if you put your head to it.
Also, thank you buddy for your beautiful words. I really feel lucky to have met you here :)
And oh you really should try squeezing the first season of The Apothecary Diaries first season into your schedule. I believe that you'd probably enjoy it. Try watching just one episode a day & see how you like it.
Personally, I can't wait for season two to drop. I too am watching Honey Lemon Soda, and because a lot of people recommended watching it, I'll be watching Sakamoto Days as well.
And yeah, I agree with you on keeping a healthy attitude towards the number of animes that a person watches & how they treat others. The gatekeepers & people who act as if they've saved the world just because they watched a lot of anime are acting ridiculous in my opinion. I mean, What are they getting so grandiose about? XD
One Update Outside Of The Anime World:
I don't know if you've watched it, but if you're a fan of Squid Game, then know that season 2 is dropping on the 26th of December.
First things first, on my profile, someone like you is totally allowed to babble all they want. Just let it out. Whether it's about anime or something else, you're absolutely welcome to discuss it with me either in a message or in comment on my profile. It doesn't even have to be anything of specific importance, whatever it is you feel like talking about, just post it & I'll definitely carefully read & reply to whatever you write. I'll never mind someone with such nice character posting on my profile. In fact, I'll always appreciate it.
Second of all, I sincerely thank you for your kind words. I honestly really value every word you said & I truly hope that someday I'd actually meet you, if I'm lucky enough.
Third, don't you ever feel like you have to change the essence of your character just because you've not yet met those who would appreciate it. Please believe me when I say that I really understand how you feel, because I personally have had the same thoughts. However, in the end, I found that any change in my character, that has no purpose but pleasing others, would kill who I really am. So, unless it's a bad habit or so, I wouldn't change something about myself. In your case, being considerate is something that I personally treasure, and I think that truly good human beings would do as well. Because, like you've mentioned it yourself, finding someone who is truly considerate is a rare occurrence these days. You should really be proud of yourself escaping the unethical image that is being popularised, on purpose, through many members of the society & even through the media. I personally congratulate your parents on raising someone who guards some real human morals & abides by politeness & the right etiquette.
So, don't ever EVER feel unappreciated. Just know that while there are people around you that don't value the qualities you have, there are others out there who are looking for it like a needle in a haystack, because to them, it's the ultimate grand prize.
Now, tell me, Which animes are you looking for this coming Winter season?
Of course, I'll respectfully read every word you write me with care.
You probably don't know this, but honestly, without even trying to complement you, you have one of the best first impressions I had on this site (even with the whole starting a conversation talking about which anime we feel differently about).
You're quite respectful and you convey your opinion without hurting anybody's feelings. Basically, you're pretty considerate, and, in general, I love these qualities in a human being.
Consequently, I believe that you'll have a lot of friends who will appreciate your company, if you're open to it. So, I'd say that you shouldn't worry about a thing. If you keep pushing yourself in the right direction, I'm sure that the time will come when you'd meet someone to keep for life.
As for the profile picture thing, though I fully understand where you're coming from, as I was like this myself, but I need you to also grasp that no character out there will be a 100% representation of who we are. Actually, no one is able to be a 100% representation of anyone else. Plus, every one of us keeps changing & evolving during their lifetime. So, don't take it too seriously. Just put on anything that's funny or that you personally like. It doesn't have to be a representation at all, it just need to be something that you like or at least brings a smile to your face. And, as you already know, you can keep on changing it every time you feel like it. Basically, just give yourself a little bit more freedom with the whole thing & just have fun with it.
Thank you very much for checking on me :)
I think this year had a lot of ups & downs for me, but I think that I got a little bit more social this year especially on MAL.
I used to use this site for only tracking the anime I watch, however this year I think that I reached out for people & also had a lot of people sending me friend requests as well.
It's nice to kind of contact the community & exchange opinions about a common interest with others every now & then. So, I guess that I've expanded my social battery life this year & I'm pretty proud of it.
How about you?
BTW, Why don't you have a profile picture? It doesn't have to be your own picture, it can be anything you're interested in. I'm just curious.
That's alright.
But seriously, feel free to discuss any anime with me even if we have different opinions on it. I enjoy listening to other people's opinions & maybe see any subject from a different perspective.
As for now, it's quite late here now, so I'll catch you later dear friend.
Good Night :)
PS: Just watched The Crow 2024 (it's a film not an anime). If you've watched it, let's discuss it some time later.
