| Have you ever noticed that there are almost no green haired girls in anime? And even of those few they almost never play an important role either. Meanwhile we have a million girls with pink, blue, red and white hair and of course all the natural hair colors. Is there a specific reason for this? Is there some folktale in Japan that says all girls with green hair are demons or something? I don't think green hair is any less attractive than the other hair colors, what's your thought?  |
| I think it's a little more difficult to make an attractive green hair anime girl than other colors. My favorite colors are blue, yellow, and brown. But I quite like Itsuka from Deaimon and Futaba from My senpai is annoying, and they are both main characters.   |

I think wacky colors are usually a stand-in for more natural ones. Aika refers to her hair as black: does that look black to you? Lime green usually is a stand in for blonde I think. Could be that a lot of creators experiment with green but switch to blonde when they realize they can't make it look good. Who knows? |

| Tbf, even among people irl who have colored hair you don't see green often. Green is an underrated color in general, it's also not used it art so much because it's possible for it to watch a character out. Green is simultaneously a color be subconsciously associate both life and death with. Green can make art more lively and natural but it can also make a face look dead. I don't know if that has anything to do with it though, since anime art isn't exactly the same as oil pointing haha |

| Green is a very uncommon color even for people who dye their hair. Most people dye red, pink, purple or blue, while green is very uncommon. And when you think of a hair color, green is one of the last colors that you would think of. Also, green haired characters aren't as uncommon as you think. This season alone, we have Shadows House S2 and Tokyo Mew Mew which have green haired girls. |
