That does sound like a fun hobby to get into. But the main problem with getting into hobbies for me has been getting started. I always tell myself that it'd just be too much investment and risk being a waste of time trying to get a hobby going and failing; that it's safer to just play games, read manga, etc., instead. Really have got to just accept that risk and try try try.

Ah, I hope all your studies go well. I did pretty well in the first half of high school because I think I developed a fear of failing. That anxiety helped me stay on top of things. So, when I got sick of doing schoolwork and stopped being afraid of failure, I had like very little motivation to get anything done. And I cannot get myself to be scared of getting bad grades again because I know it's just not scary. Being held back a year and stuff is, but since that's, like, farther into the future, I can't get myself to fear something more long-term.
I've got no clue on what I want to become, so that thought of getting to university and not knowing what to study just made me think I was already doomed. Gave into despair too much. Now, I've gotta find new motivation.

Ah, that's unfortunate, but good on you for prioritizing academics and taking the steps to keep balance.


Also, sorry for taking forever to reply. It just takes me way too long to write a message, so I put off writing this. Words don't really flow out of my brain when I'm writing paragraph responses (my brain works in quick bursts and I get distracted), as opposed to quick messages or essays.

so the 1st semester was more about the basics towards CSE like other prerequisites including but not limited to maths, autoCAD, basics of Electronics and some basic engineering physics just to make the building blocks for CSE, the coding part comes right following it.
it is more about the coding than building computers.
