College dropout and Late registration are above average. Graduation was decent/very good. 808s is bad but i understand that album. MBDTF>>> one of the best of the decade. Yeezus is fucking trash kanye made a bad lazy album. TLOP was bad but it grows on you after a while still say below average.

His first two albums are decent, but not classics by any stretch. Graduation is severely underwhelming given the hype, and only good if you're comparing it to Curtis. 808s, which gets the most hate out of all his LPs, was Kanye's most interesting and emotional album. MBDTF and Watch the Throne are both overproduced, self-indulgent garbage.

1. MBDTF - Amazing production, literally not a single bad song. One of my favorite albums of all time.
2. TCR - classic Kanye, Family Business to Last Call... both fantastic songs.
3. Yeezus - abrasive and cathartic are some words i'd use to describe this album. it's production is great. tracks that get overlooked by most are Send It Up and I'm in It. This album gets me pumped up no matter what I'm feeling beforehand—song that ruins that vibe is Guilt Trip tho, not a huge fan of that track tbh.
4. TLOP - I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING "tlop is trash" but to me it's a mess that i've come to love after a bunch of listens. Saint Pablo was a great addition to the album later on, No More Parties in L.A. has an amazing beat produced by Madlib and Kanye is on par with what Kendrick spits on that track. There are a couple hiccups on the album, some filler, but it's still really good imo.
5. Graduation - It's the album that got me into Kanye intially. Flashing Lights is always a favorite to play in the car when I'm with friends: the steady strings at the beginning, the female voice saying "flashing lights" with the last word echoing till she says it again. My least favorite streak of Kanye songs are on here: Barry Bonds straight to Drunk Hot Girls... bleh. Kanye still brings it with a great opener that got him this MAL page to start with (Good Morning music video), one of my personal favorites I Wonder, and a number of other songs to close out the last education-themed album Kanye would drop.
6. Late Registration - Honestly, this is probably my least listened to Kanye album. I can appreciate the symphonic nature the album has, the orchestration, the acoustic approach that deviated from TCR. I can appreciate Hey Mama, especially after it's gotten further sentimentalized by the events that transpired after the release of the album. Overall, I don't have anything glaringly bad to say about this album, maybe that I think Gold Digger is overrated, I dunno, but all I can say is it's pretty good.
7. 808's and Heartbreak - you gotta be in a certain mood to really experience this album. melancholy, grief, post break-up, whatever; if you're happy going into this album, chances are you'll come out feeling indifferent about it, thinking "Paranoid and Heartless were really grooving," or something. I like the first half of this album, I think it's really strong. Second half is still alright and it ends on a great live track.

with all that said i realize that i wrote next to nothing for the first 2 albums... i honestly didn't plan on writing this much in a comment on Kanye's MAL profile lmao. But no seriously every Kanye album is great, and honestly my ratings for these albums fluctuate depending on what I've really been listening to lately. Just cause I rated 808's a 7. doesn't make it a 3 or something. if you read this whole thing i feel sorry for you. I was going to initially meme and write "please come to brazil" here
